Dr Rajan Rehan is a highly regarded Sydney-based interventional cardiologist with advanced expertise in complex coronary intervention and structural heart disease. He is recognised for his meticulous procedural technique, academic leadership, and commitment to delivering personalised, evidence-based cardiovascular care.
He performs advanced complex coronary interventions using state-of-the-art intracoronary imaging (IVUS and OCT) and coronary physiology to ensure precise stent optimisation and procedural safety. His practice emphasises thoughtful decision-making, technical excellence, and long-term cardiovascular outcomes.

Dr Rehan completed his medical degree at Bond University and a Master of Public Health at the University of New South Wales. He was awarded competitive NHMRC funding to undertake a PhD at the University of Sydney, where his research focused on improving the diagnosis and management of angina and coronary microvascular disease.
He completed specialist cardiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, followed by advanced coronary intervention fellowships at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals. He subsequently undertook prestigious subspecialty fellowships in complex coronary intervention and structural heart disease at the internationally recognised Royal Brompton and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London.
Dr Rehan has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and is an invited faculty at major national and international cardiology meetings. As a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney, he remains actively involved in training the next generation of cardiologists and advancing translational cardiovascular research.

I’ve only had one appointment with Dr Rajan so far, but I am very impressed. He has a wonderful bedside manner, is genuinely kind and approachable, and explains things in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
