Everything was explained clearly and compassionately, and I genuinely felt listened to. My experience of the hospital was very good. The staff were amazing especially Jayne on Day surgery and David at the ward at night. The only downside that came to my attention is being told that there was no lactose free milk for my tea. The lady, I did catch her name, told me that she wasn’t aware of my overnight stay. She asked me if I was aware that I was staying overnight and I replied ‘yes’. She then went on to ask if I had put it in my forms prior to attending and I said yes. She kept on going on it wasn’t her fault she had been told. A bit of advice would be that she overshared. She clearly sorted the problem as the following morning someone had picked up the milk and I had it with my tea.

The whole process from consultation to operation was excellent. I was well informed about the procedure and felt at ease on the day of my operation due to knowledgable caring staff. At all stages communication was superb. The procedure was very successful and has totally improved my quality of life allowing me to enjoy many things including 2 of my passions reading and sewing with my improved sight. During the operation I was constantly reassured and spoken to about what was happening and where to look. I really liked this and felt included in my treatment. Whilst all staff were friendly and professional from the reception staff to the dentist. My appointment was 10 o'clock but I was not seen until 10:25 without any courteous apology or advise of the delay until I was in with the dentist. I appreciate that delays can happens with the treatment of the customers before me but a courteous apology and advice of the estimated wait would have been appreciated as my car was parked in a pay and display area.

The 12-month or so wait time was out of Ravi’s hands and in fact the timing of the procedure worked well for me in the end due to it being right before the Christmas holidays. Everyone at Spire Wellesley was fab, even if my discharge at the end of the day took longer than expected it wasn’t a problem and I was really pleased with all the care and professionalism provided by everyone. He put my mind at ease. The nurse who did my ECG was very nice and helpful as well as was the lady who sorted out parking so all in all it was a very good experience.

Decent tea and coffee facilities and comfortable waiting room. Lift access available and reading material available plus wifi.
