During my recent experience at Cleveland Clinic London, I was under the care of Professor James Teo and Dr. Dipesh Patel for my diagnosis of myelitis. I’d like to share a review of the care, diagnosis, and treatment I received during my short inpatient stay and subsequent outpatient follow-up. Diagnosis: The professionalism and expertise of both Professor Teo and Dr. Patel were evident. They took the time to thoroughly review my medical history, listen attentively to my symptoms, and conduct a series of comprehensive tests. The diagnostic process was meticulous, involving advanced imaging and laboratory analyses, all explained clearly, which left me feeling confident about my care. I was admitted as an inpatient for a couple of days, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. The modern hospital environment and top-notch facilities contributed to a positive experience. The nursing staff was attentive and highly trained, providing outstanding care around the clock. I appreciated their responsiveness to my needs, ensuring I felt comfortable during my brief stay. Daily visits from Professor Teo and Dr. Patel allowed me to discuss my progress and any concerns I had, reinforcing my sense of being valued and cared for. Following my inpatient stay I transitioned smoothly into outpatient care. My follow-up appointments have been invaluable, with thorough evaluations of my ongoing recovery. The clinic’s proactive communication, including test results, appointment reminders and prompt responses to my queries, has greatly supported my journey. They also provided me with educational resources to help manage my condition effectively. In conclusion, my experience at Cleveland Clinic London, particularly under the care of Professor Teo and Dr. Patel, has been exemplary. Their dedication to providing personalized and compassionate care, paired with their expertise, has made a significant difference in my ongoing recovery journey. I arrived at 13.20 for my appointment with the nurse and informed the receptionist that I had three appointments 1) nurse 2) Mr Consigliere 3 ) physiotherapist. She informed me that she would note my presence for the first two but that I needed to tell physiotherapist separately. I saw the nurse on time and informed the receptionist I was now ready for my 2pm appointment with mr Consigliere. At 2.15 I asked receptionist if Mr Consigliere was running late ? Also that I was surprised he had not asked me to have an X-ray. At this point the receptionist informed me that my 2pm appointment with mr Consigliere had been cancelled. I asked by whom. At this point there was obviously some confusion and I was asked to sit down whilst they investigated. Some minutes later I was told “something “ had gone wrong but Mr Consigliere had asked me to have an X-ray and he would see me after my physiotherapist appointment. When I saw Mr Consigliere at around 3.45pm he informed me that my bone was not attached to the metal plate in my elbow. The ligaments and muscles were keeping it in place. Mr Consigliere wished to see what would happen over the next few weeks before making a decision.

They turned what could have been a stressful experience into something reassuring and positive. This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

We decided to visit them after reading their positive reviews and wanted to give it a try. After reviewing my test results, they recommended a three-month course of treatment. The instructions and cooking process were clear and easy to follow. After completing the three months of treatment, I went for another test and was delighted to learn that my FSH levels had gone down, which felt unbelievable and made us extremely happy. That said, I would have liked to learn more about my TCM diagnosis and what it meant, as this was not really explained to me. This was a bit disappointing, as I was genuinely interested—especially considering the cost of the consultations. Communication and transparency could have been better in this regard. However, Professor Au did call us to reassure us whenever he felt it was needed, which we appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone who is struggling with fertility and looking for support.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. We are very grateful for his care and are very pleased with the result of his expertise and handiwork. Thank you so much Steve and team.

I was very happy with my treatment with everyone especially Wr Kamran Khan who I can’t recommend enough, he was friendly, assuring and also the lovely nurse who looked after me after my op. Sorry I can’t remember her name but she was so caring. Anyone going for a cararact op this place is brilliant and everyone I came in contact with both times I was there I feel I couldn’t have had better. Someone calls you the following day to check that you are okay so everything perfect. Thank you all.

I was seen by Mr Malik for my knee arthritis. He planned surgery but for medical reasons it could not be carried out at the same hospital. Mr Malik transferred me to HCA Harborne Hospital and did the surgery there. He has been superb with his mannerism, care and explanation. I am around 5 months from surgery and can not thank him enough for all that he has done for me. I am walking pain free and getting my steps in and travelling without fear of knee giving way.
