After having five C-sections and breastfeeding my children, my body had changed significantly. I was made very comfortable and listened to with any anxiety worries i had, the staff and Doctor were just fantastic, im recommending to everyone, brilliant experience and hospital, looking forward to my next procedure.

I had treatment for Dupuytrens Contracture (Viking Hands). The fingers on both hands had curled over to the point where it was becoming difficult to carry out hobbies such as bowling and playing a musical instrument. Mr Ahmed carried out an operation to remove fascia around the tendons and enable the fingers to straighten, This was carried out under local anaesthetic, where I was awake and could listen to my favourite music. The operation was painless and I was treated as a day patient. Supported by physiotherapy, I now have full use of both hands and no side effects and can resume hobbies as normal

Overall my experience at Albyn was good. There was a delay in getting my procedure by two days due to the previous surgery taking longer than expected, but Mr Ahmed came in on his day off to ensure I didn’t need to wait over a month for my surgery, which was really appreciated. I am very happy with my results, and the aftercare both from Mr Ahmed who came to see me twice while I was still in hospital and called a couple of times when I was home, but also all the medical staff who were very attentive, and looked after me well during my stay, which was extended by an extra night due to drainage issues.
