Albyn Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, a leading provider of healthcare services throughout the UK. Located in the west end of Aberdeen, Albyn Hospital is the only independent hospital serving Aberdeen/shire and the North of Scotland.
Our facilities combined with the latest onsite imaging and diagnostic technology enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures, from routine investigations to complex surgery. Some of the main private treatments offered at Albyn Hospital include Orthopaedic Surgery, Eye Surgery, One Stop Breast Clinic Service, Gynaecology, General Surgery and Gastroenterology.
This specialist expertise is supported by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of professionals, with dedicated private nursing teams and Resident Medical Officers on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment.
Patients can access our services through private medical insurance or by self-paying. Those with private medical insurance should check their policy details with their provider prior to attending any appointments.
We accept referrals from GPs, Optometrists, Physiotherapists and other Registered Consultants. Patients can also self-refer to most of our services and book an initial consultation online with a Consultant of your choice.

The waiting room was clean and inviting and I was able to get a parking space right outside the outpatients steps which I was very grateful for. My only difficulty on the day were the steps I had to negotiate at the entrance to outpatients. There was no ramp and as I was in significant pain I did find the steps difficult to negotiate. The X-ray staff were exceptional - kind, engaging and especially helpful and patient when I had to get onto the MRI bed and lie on my back which I was anxious about. I am so grateful to both Mr Walkden and all the X-ray and MRI staff for everything.

Every person i met during the procedure was so friendly and talkative that it really put my mind at ease since i was very nervous prior to the surgery

The staff are amazing. I felt so welcome and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and I had a lot of follow-up with the treatment room. We had a lot of laughs over stubborn open wounds.
