Mr Adam Critchley

From my first meeting with Mr Critchley he put me at ease with his warm, friendly professional manner. Everything was explained clearly with diagrams to help. He was going to remove my breast implants and reshape the remaining breast tissue to give me a good shape. I did not want more implants. The surgery went well, the staff at the Nuffield were lovely and I went home the following day. My recovery was uneventful - two follow up appointments completed the process. I would recommend Mr Critchley unreservedly. He was highly recommended to me by two people and I would pass that recommendation on.

On meeting Mr Critchley I found him to be kind, friendly and very professional. His manner and demeanour immediately put me at ease and gave me confidence. Subsequent meetings with Mr Critchley confirmed my first reaction. My treatment so far has been exemplary.

Anyone who is looking to go down a surgery route, I would highly, highly recommend Adam, he is a very genuine and sincere man, who only wants to achieve the best possible results for his patients. He has given me my confidence back and nothing is too much or too little for his entire team. I went to see a number of surgeons before deciding on who I was going with, which im really pleased I did as it made choosing Adam, even easier, as i said previously, not just Adam, but his entire team, made my experience from start to finish, an experience im pleased to have had. I went to visit Adam for my initial consultation earlier this year after experiencing unexpected pain and discomfort from my breast implants I had surgery for 16 years ago by another surgeon. The shape and position of my implants and breasts had significantly changed over this time and after thorough research and following consultations with him, I knew I wanted Adam to be my surgeon. I made the decision to go for a breast implant removal only, knowing I didn’t want to opt for new implants with the goal to tackle my symptoms and return back to a more natural shape in proportion to my slender frame. I had my surgery in May and two months post surgery, I feel fantastic! I am absolutely delighted with my results and my recovery was really positive. I have no pain or discomfort anymore and my natural shape now is so much better. The operation was so smooth and efficient, Adam did an incredible job and his supporting team have been wonderful. It really wasn’t an easy decision to get my implants removed and not replaced after living with them for such a long time. If anyone is reading this in a similar position considering getting their implants removed, I would strongly recommend Adam for his precision, guidance and excellence in achieving the best results for his patients. Adam listened to my desire to be implant free and in agreement that my previous implants were not benefiting me at all. I’d encourage anyone considering a removal only to do it and trust the process!

Mr Critchley was a lively consultant, who was clear in his explanations of the steps that would be taken in my investigation. He took his time when examining me. He also, answered questions and made the process less daunting.

My appointment at the One Stop Breast Clinic was one I would definitely recommend. I was dealt with courteously by all staff involved. Mr Critchley examined me, with a nurse acting as chaperone, and afterwards gave me a full explanation of what would happen next, ie the mammogram and ultrasound , and he also explained the possibility of a biopsy. He also explained what follow up there would be after this initial appointment. He told me that the results of the biopsy would take approximately one week to come through and at the end of that time, I would be contacted to confirm the results and what then happens going forward. I was offered an in person appointment or a telephone call for the following week.

I would definitely recommend the service provided from the beginning through to the end. Everyone was extremely helpful and professional and everything was dealt with very quickly.
