Professor Vik Veer is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He makes complex conditions clear, provides explanations, and finds effective treatment pathways. Procedures like septoplasty and tonsillectomy improve breathing and sleep. His practice treats obstructive sleep apnoea and snoring problems.
Professor Veer was amazing, I cannot recommend him enough! I have had a lifelong condition but he put me at ease and made me feel confident about my future. Thank you so much Sir!
I have had a few consultations with Prof Vik Veer in relation following my diagnosis with severe sleep apnoea by my local sleep clinic. The treatment provided by the clinic – CPAP machine – made things worse, not better. After a few months of this I explored options and came across Professor Veer’s helpful videos and so organised to consult with him. Professor Veer radically changed my understanding of my condition and gave me a much better way forward. He questioned the original interpretation of the sleep study, recommended a different therapy – positional sleeping – and carried organised a follow up test, following the implementation of the new therapy. The outcome – I now no longer suffer from ‘severe sleep apnoea’ – a simple change in my sleep position took my pAHI score from 43 to 2.6 – well below the ‘treatment required threshold’. The potential for this outcome was evident when looking more deeply into the original sleep study results – even I had spotted a ‘strange’ aspect of the results. Professor Veer quickly found the way forward, a much cheaper and less intrusive way forward without ‘side-effects’. So, a great outcome. Professor Veer was really easy to communicate with, he listened, took note of my concerns without any evidence of ‘the patient knows nothing’ attitude so common amongst health professionals – a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend Professor Veer – I had to self-finance as neither my doctor nor the Sleep Clinic would support an NHS ENT referral – ‘we have solved your problem, just use the CPAP’. It was money well spent.
Excellent first meeting - Professional and pleasant diagnostic and identified path way forward. So far, so great. I expect to be recommending him.
The entire service provided by Professor Veer and his team, from the initial consultation to the surgery and follow-up was excellent and very well organized. I am delighted with the results of my surgery. I haven't been able to breath this well for a long time. I wish I had done this much sooner.
Professor Vik Veer did his job well, friendly, funny and professional. He made my visit feel comfortable.
All I can say is that Vik was absolutely exceptional both professionally and personally. All I can say is thank you.
He was brilliant and so helpful. If you need an ENT to understand your scenario, he is the man.
Professor Veer is a very professional and kind man, who obviously carers deeply about his work and his patients. I cannot thank him enough for the support and help he has given me so far, as I have felt previously that I have not been listened too when discussing my condition. Professor Veer recognised this and has arranged for me to be seen again at Queens Hospital to see him, therefore not having to pay the fees at Harley Street, and continued with investigations into my condition. Professor Veer has also reimbursed my fee, which is so kind of him.
I came to see Dr Veer for sleep apnea. Dr Veer identified the root cause with DISE and arranged for nose and tonsil operations. Post operation sleep study shows that my sleep apnea has been cured. I'm satisfied with the outcome.
I have been struggling with CPAP therapy. By being completely determined I tolerate the mask and therapy, with what seems to be high marks, according to statistics -machine generated, (low AHIs, 8 hours no leaks etc.) However I don't feel, and never have felt rested.-six months on. I contacted professor Vir as it seemed to me that there must be other factors at play and my local hospital could only offer CPAP and nothing else. My consultation with Professor Veer was excellent. He took a detailed history, made an initial examination and suggested possible underlying causes and further examinations. His communication skills are exceptional and he is obviously very much on top of his speciality and passionate about it.
Mr Veer is a well respected ENT surgeon with national reputation in OSA surgery with a wealth of knowledge and a reputation for providing great service to his patients

An Alternative Treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Many people find it challenging to use CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure - a mask that is used to pump air into the lungs during sleep) or Mandibular Advancement Devices (MADs - which are gum shields which are designed to pull your lower jaw forward to help you breathe behind your tongue) for treating obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Studies show that CPAP compliance rates can be as low as 50-60%, with many patients discontinuing use due to discomfort, inconvenience, or difficulty adjusting to the device. Similarly, while MADs are generally better tolerated, they still present issues such as jaw pain (temporomandibular joint dysfunction), dry mouth, tooth loosening. This might be too much for some patients to bear long term. Untreated sleep apnoea can lead to a host of serious health problems. It is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, including high blood pressure, heart attacks, and strokes. Additionally, OSA can exacerbate metabolic conditions like type 2 diabetes and contribute to weight gain. The constant interruptions in breathing during sleep result in fragmented sleep, leading to excessive daytime sleepiness, impaired cognitive function, and a higher risk of accidents. Furthermore, untreated sleep apnoea can negatively impact mental health, causing mood swings, depression, and anxiety. Given these challenges and risks, hypoglossal nerve implants, such as the Inspire Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator and the Nyxoah Genio System, offer a promising alternative. These fully implantable devices provide a more comfortable and less intrusive solution by directly stimulating the hypoglossal nerve to keep the airway open during sleep. By addressing this particular root cause of airway obstruction, these devices can significantly improve sleep quality and overall health, making them a viable option for those who struggle with traditional therapies.
