Very unorganised, got the bill twice with no explanation. Called and had to speak with 3 people and still no one knew what bill was correct. The Surgent secretary told me to ignore one of the invoices which turned out was wrong. First time I arrived for the consultation I was told that the surgent who I was going to see wasn’t there and they advised me to go home. It turned out he was there and waiting for me. Second time they couldn’t find my file and didn’t know what to do or why I was there. 3rd time lucky you would think, I was told to wait in the waiting room and I did without being told there were two waiting rooms and I was in the wrong room and the surgent called me and wondered if I was on my way. On the positive the surgent and the operation was great but I do wish it was a bit more organised and that the information given to the patients was with a follow up to everyone involved.

I received warm, well informed professional attention throughout my care at St Anthony's Hospital; from outpatients through to discharge. The room was clean, well heated and ventilated, equipment checked and the armchairs comfortable. The unit was quiet. Nursing staff answered call bells promptly and with kindness and a smile. No request was considered a problem. Their level of knowledge and professionalism was excellent along with the standard of care. Physiotherapy care was also excellent and given with respect to my individual needs. Recovery staff were informative and reassuring. Excellent care there too. I include catering staff who also took care in their work. A few glitches with the electronics on the bed and the new bathroom which received prompt attention - the unit has been recently renovated.

Hearing aids... NOT FOR ME??? It took a while for me to adjust to having a slight hearing loss and eventually made an appt with Harley Hearing. Call it vanity, but the thought of wearing a hearing aid seemed horrific! | wasnt ready just yet. I eventually made the appointment and met Matt. What a lovely man. I just wanted to say how wonderful and supportive he has been. Nothing is too much trouble. He is extremely knowledgeable and has guided me all the way. We started with the Lyric but sadly it wasnt working for me. Matt knowing my concerns, has worked with me to try different IIC aids suitable and i am currently trying another. He is professional, is beyond amazing and i couldn't have asked to be in better hands. I believe Harley Hearing have a true asset in him.

Truly Exceptional After experiencing pain from my new hospital contact lenses I was able to book an appointment with Drew far sooner than my Hospital would see me. Drew very quickly determined that ill-fitting lenses were causing Conjunctival Prolapse and advised how best to proceed. Essentially the lenses used by my Hospital were not appropriate for my eyes and, since the Hospital will not use alternative lenses, Drew was able to fit and supply better lenses. These new contact lenses give excellent vision and comfort, even though I have a particular eye condition which makes it very difficult to fit contacts, despite lenses being the only solution for me. Thank you Drew and Team!

Received urgent call requesting blood test for tolerance to Dye. I Moved appointments for that afternoon to facilitate a flying visit. After arrival kept waiting for 35 minutes until I asked reception as was needed elsewhere and was told phlebotomist would be with me shortly. With Phlebotomist approx 3 minutes, total time 50 minutes and 50 miles traveled Then had to wait 9 days for scan which was only scheduled following chase-up from private GP. On presenting for CT Scan was told that they did not require blood test as procedure did not indicate use of dye. Most unimpressive communication and administration throughout

Mr Giles Bond-Smith

I had a consultation with Mr Giles Bond Smith regarding a tricky hernia that had already been repaired once by another surgeon and had failed. Mr Bond Smith gave me very useful information about what all my options were, which were not biased towards him carrying out the surgery. I came away feeling very reassured, and the anxiety around not being sure what the best course of action would be were dispelled during the consultation. I’m very pleased that I met this kind, thoughtful and very humane doctor

Mr Richard Siau

ENT Surgeon

I brought me 4-year-old daughter to see Mr Siau because of concerns about her breathing at night. The wait for an NHS appointment was too long and not many private hospitals are able to see or treat children. I was able to get an appointment within a week with Mr Siau at Leigh Infirmary, and my daughter is now booked in for surgery. The consultation was straightforward and the process was made clear and I am glad we don't have to join the long waiting list!

Although I felt well cared for during my visit, I was unsure why I was asked to come in at 7am only to not have my procedure done until around 11.30. I was originally scheduled to come at 9.10 but got a call earlier in the week asking to come at 7am -reception didn’t seem to be aware of the time change when I arrived. They still managed to accommodate me, but there was just too much time spent waiting around between my initial checks and the procedure.

The consultation was carried out with respect for me. I was not rushed in any way and able to ask questions. My xrays were shown and discussed with me. I can't rate Mr Jain high enough. Excellent .

I love coming to the clinic. The stuff is very friendly. The waiting room is bright and the decor is very tasteful with a clear feminine touch. It is a space designed by women for women which I appreciate. I have come many times and I haven't waited for more than a few minutes to be seen. Coffee and tea available if you arrive early.
