I went for an independent assessment of my prostate cancer diagnosis with a possible view to private treatment if I did not get chosen for focal therapy on the NHS trial that I hade been offered. Also to help me make my mind up which of the many options offered to me by the NHS A consultation was quickly arranged via Mr Doherty’s p.a. for £250 which my wife and I attended. I was given an excellent appraisal at the meeting followed by a letter that outlined a meeting Mr Doherty had with his peers to discuss my case. The letter confirmed that in their opinion focal therapy was a good option in my particular case having had access to my medical records This in my view was an excellent service for the fee but I was lucky enough to be chosen for this focal treatment under the NHS trial, I would have gone private had not my private medical insurance rejected my claim (that is another story) I am however indebted to Mr Doherty’s help and service which he provided So far the day operation held in Oxford on the 10th Nov 2025 has had very few downsides although I am still awaiting the final result on Jan 13th 2026 and hoping for a positive result from my consultant on this day The treatment was far less intrusive that the other options offered to me for which I count myself very lucky. Under the trial I will be monitored so that the NHS can find out how the longer term prognosis is for focal treatments so they are able to offer this more widely in the NHS. For my selfish sake I hope that it is good news for me and will enable others to benefit from my experience now and in the future. I am aged 74 and look forward to good health for the foreseeable future.🤞

Professor Frampton 'de-roofed' a large cyst growing towards the back of my liver very skilfully, using a Robot to navigate past important internal structures, excess fat, & through adhesions from past operations I've had. This resulted in minimal operative consequence to my abdomen, & to me post-operatively - meaning I awoke from the general anaesthetic without the significant pain I recall from several past 'open surgery' type operations (I was then even able to eat sandwiches, enjoy a cup of cocoa, & walk to the bathroom, before 'sleeping it off'!) I was only in hospital for 48hrs & left with just a little discomfort (from bumps in the road on the journey home), and five small glue-covered external incisions from the Robot's arms across the front of my waistline, which healed quickly. My only instructions were No Lifting for first 6wks, and to take Paracetamol & occasionally DHCodeine for some understandable right-sided abdominal tenderness. That steadily tailed off along with v.mild discomfort when hicupping/sneezing, as I healed internally whilst taking things easily (& light exercise) at home over next 12-14 days. This operation transpired to be an amazingly positive experience for which I cannot thank & recommend Professor Frampton highly enough - not only for his surgical & Robotic expertise, but also his conscientious & professional assessment of my health pre & post surgery, his reassuring explanations & his most pleasant communication personally throughout (administratively aided by his excellent PA)!

I had a recent admission for a Discectomy under the care of Mr Manoj-Thomas. The entire experience from initial appointment to the actual surgery was just over 6 weeks. During this time I received regular communication to prepare me for my surgery. I was overwhelmed by the high standard of care I received as an in patient from the nursing and medical team. All professionals were courteous calm and maintained my dignity and trust during an anxious time and I am incredibly grateful. My follow up care is continuing and I was very impressed with the phone call I received 2 days post discharge to ensure I was continuing to recover. Dr Zakynthinaki has been wonderful in so many ways - she's empathetic with my daughter and with me, she listens and she's been incredibly responsive to our questions. She explains things so well and in a lot of detail, which I really appreciate. It's so refreshing to come across a specialist who's willing to work with a patient so diligently and with so much care - who can offer not only the clinical experience, but is also very patient-focussed. I feel we are both seen and heard by her. If you are looking for support for your child / adolescent, particularly if they are neurodiverse, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Zakynthinaki!

Dr Margarita was very knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely recommend coming to the Lantern Clinic. I felt listened too and she emphasised as a woman with my issues. I had plenty of time to chat and didn’t feel rushed,. Dr Margarita devised a plan for me to follow and recommended a gold standard brand of supplements I should start. I am booked in for a follow up appointment in several weeks time, to discuss how my treatment plan went and if I saw improvements.

The team on the OCD ward incredibly kind caring and compassionate. It's like being part of a family, including the other 5 patients here. Although, it was challenging at times, I've learnt so much about my condition and I now realise that my beliefs does not necessarily mean it's true. If you're suffering with OCD and feel like you're alone or you have nowhere else to turn to, I highly recommend the Nightingale's 28 day inpatient stay.

The receptionists were incredibly kind getting me a drink when I walked in. I have been feeling very poorly and it was a relief to book in on the same day and be seen. The doctor was so thorough in my consultation. 20 minutes is a good amount of time to have a proper discussion. Antibiotics were needed - the dr sent me a code to give to the chemist to get my prescription. All very easy and straightforward.

Elsewhere I was informed that the I would require dye in my eye which would impair driving etc for a few hours, however, this was not necessary due to leading technology at Dr Sheeraz’s practice.
