The first time I met Mr Marciniak I felt I had known him for years. He made me feel at ease straight away and spoke to me as if I was his first ever patient or a member of his family. He explained I a way I could understand, e exactly what had happened to my hip and recently to my knee with the help of my Xrays. He then went on to explain what the operation would involve and to the extent of showing me a replica joint. I knew " I was in good hands" He later rang me afterwards to make sure I was OK about the operation then prior to the actual procedure he came to see me in my room and then a couple of hours afterwards to see how I was. I was very relaxed and Mr Marciniak couldn't have done anymore. Speaking to other nurses and staff they couldn't speak any more highly of him and have stipulated that they would want him to operate on them if the need be. His after care has been exemplary, wanting the best for me. This was also the case after my knee replacement 6 months later. Mr Marciniak is a very special person doing a job he loves always with a smile on his face and making you feel important. Too many people will talk negatively and complain about the NHS but personally with having a few dealings with Doctors etc I can honestly say we have an exceptional service with tremendous people working in these sectors. Mr Marciniak is up there with the best.

I am at Kingsbridge Hospital for partial knee replacement surgery. Surgical Ward 1 - 28/11/2025. I am writing to express my deepest and sincere thanks for the outstanding care I am receiving during my stay at Kingsbridge Hospital, Ballykelly. The professionalism and kindness I am receiving during my care is outstanding. Sarah, Kerry, Laura & Kim (night staff) from Ward 1 have all been wonderful, nothing was any trouble and I want to thank them for going above and beyond to ensure my well being. Unfortunately, I can’t remember all the names of the staff on ward 1 when I booked in, but again these staff were amazing (Keavsa/luke). I have felt very at ease during my stay and that has come across naturally from you all. You deserve recognition for all your hard work and care you have provided. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to all the staff involved in my care, including the doctors Mr Acton, Dr Brian OG McLary and their team who showed exceptional expertise. Not forgetting the physio. Mr Tony Corner

I first contacted Tony Corner for a second opinion, following surgery to fix a proximal humerus fracture of my shoulder. Tony came highly recommended and I found him to be friendly and reassuring. He answered all my questions and explained clearly what could be done to improve my shoulder's mobility. Tony performed an arthroscopic capsular release which was a success and improved my range of motion but the plate which had been fitted elsewhere at the time of the original fracture, was limiting my progress. I was nervous about undergoing further surgery to remove the metalwork but Tony was very positive and reassuring and I decided if anyone was going to do this surgery, I wanted it to be him. Two weeks later, my shoulder feels so much better and the mobility is greatly improved too. I do not have private medical cover but this surgery has made such a difference to me. Thank you, Tony.

The appointment and staff were great but please please please sort out the signage to your section of the hospital. I arrived at the QEQM an hour before my appointment as I knew parking at that time would be a nightmare. I was still trying to park 15 minutes before my appointment. I had to leave my car in a side road and hope it was a restricted area. I had to run from me side of the hospital to the other and no where on any map or sign was there anything saying where the Spencer hospital was. I eventually found the main reception who had to give me directions. I found the part I needed by pure chance. I arrived 4 minutes after my appointment time. This is the 3rd Spencer hospital I have visited within 5 weeks. It was the same story at K and C with no signs. WHH was the only one that had signage where I could find where I needed to go easily but again not listed on the main hospital maps.

Mr George Spink

I had a PLIF operation with additional decompression by neurosurgeon George Spink at Spire Anlaby .. Autumn 2025. George was professional throughout the whole process. I had plenty of unpressured opportunities to ask questions and recieved clear answers without too much medical jargon. This gave me confidence in Mr Spinks long experience for what was a major surgery with good explanation of the risks involved. Following the operation whilst in recovery Mr Spink took time to talk personally with my wife and reassure her the procedure went well. The operation was very successful and I mobilised the next day. In my experience the Spire Anlaby (Hull) hospital team can be trusted to provide a very professional service. I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend George for complex spinal procedures.

Monaghan + Morrow | Vasectomy Clinic - Belfast

I attended Monaghan & Morrow clinic for a vasectomy procedure in February this year. I got booked in within 2 weeks of initial contact. I was naturally anxious about the procedure but the guys made me feel at home from the minute I walked in. The procedure was pretty much pain free. Stephen & Gillian also clearly communicated pain/brusing etc over the days following, which was very reassuring. Also a check-in email the following day to confirm all was ok. (which it was) After some initial tenderness, I was back running within 1 week of the vacetomy. The follow up semen analysis was also very straightforward. I received the kit in the post with instructions. Results were then emailed within a few weeks. I could not recommend Monaghan & Morrow enough.

Simon has been so wonderful from the offset. I’ve had two hip operations and he has done both of them. He puts you at ease and explains everything and although I know he sees a lot of patients, he is so caring. He doesn’t rush like some consultants do…his professionalism has shone throughout the last 12 months and he also happens to be one of the loveliest people that I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Mr Petrushkin was very helpful and tested my request for the operation in a open and honest way to make sure that I had taken into account advanatges/disadvantages and was at the right stage to go forward with the operation. I did not feel pressured to undertake the treatment, and he respected the choice I had made without trying to sell alternative lens treatments that I had already discussed with my optician.

The whole experience of phoning first thing in the morning to make an appointment to have my earwax removel - through to later in morning when it was carried out felt like a “model” experience in care. My audiologist was patient, explained the process and worked efficiently to remove all the wax bringing much needed relief. She also gave me advice on oiling my ear to help the wax dispersal in future.

Best to make sure someone attends with you to ask the questions you might be to groggy to ask at the time. Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me. Dr Ahmed introduced himself and Ruby too...I had to ask what they found and was given printed details at the end. Overall positive. Thank you!

I was seen very fast, received a very thorough examination initially, given a heart scan & a heart monitor to wear for 1 week. Follow up consultation was then arranged the following week for the results. Excellent level of service & communication.
