I recently attended YGC for a hysterectomy with my consultant Mr Clerk. What a phenomenal man he really is. He has given me the best possible out come i could ask for. Even though i was late going into surgery mr Clerk did everything he could to make sure i did not miss my slot. He was present when i returned from recovery at 8pm. Explained everything to me and made sure i was ok and comfortable. Not only was he there that late but the next day returned to the ward to check on me again late evening. He was also on annual leave. Every doctor should take as much pride in their patients as he does. He is a wonderful, kind man who has done nothing but go above and beyond. I am very lucky to have been appointed him as my consultant. Thank you Mr Nick Clerk for being the very best.

My experience has been outstanding. From the first phone call to leaving the thornbury hospital. Hannah the centre manager and Farqi treated me amazingly. I felt safe in the cleanest, calmest environment. The information I received was top notch and I have never experienced such kindness to me. Dr Ibrahim was very kind and I felt that someone was finally listening to me after many months. The staff at the Royal Hallamshire, particularly Nancy and Lisa also went the extra mile and again were very kind. We checked in early, due to traffic, 20 minutes early at 13.10 for an appointment at 13.30. At 14.05 I returned to the reception desk to ask why a large number of customers had arrived after us and been seen before and the Team Lead stated that she would check for me. She came back 3-4 minutes later to notify us that the reception staff had not booked us as arrived. We were told that they were sorry and that we would be moved to the front of the line. We did not have a very good experience with you.

Whilst Dr Housami was not able to personally perform the reccomended treatment, he was very helpful un reccomending consultants and the process I needed to follow to proceed, and left me feeling he really cared about finding me the right outcomes. Couldn't recommend enough, very helpfull and friendly. Even answered one of my questions I had after getting the procedure done a couple of nights later and something that i was worried about and when I emailed at 9:45pm i couldn't believe I got an email back within 15 minutes, to say to call in and see them first thing in the morning, which really put my mind at ease. Both appointments I was seen too very promptly.

Best to make sure someone attends with you to ask the questions you might be to groggy to ask at the time. Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me.
