I have visited St Joseph’s a number of times for consultations and have always had a good experience. However as a day case today there was quite a wait for the appointment to begin. It was uncomfortable in the waiting area with a cold draught blowing in through sliding doors. The letter stated the admission was at 5pm but were only called in at 5.40pm. The procedure went well and the nurses/assistants were very friendly. The facility was clean and clutter free. However the consultant then went into this busy waiting area and informed my relative, who accompanied me, with the results of the procedure in front of other patients and staff. This was highly inappropriate and the hospital needs to ensure there are private areas to discuss medical information in future. For a privately paying service one would expect there to be better controls and more discretion to be provided for medical procedures.

Mr Amer Raza

I came to Mr Amer Raza with suspected endometriosis in which I have been going back on forth with various different doctors for 7 years with no official diagnosis or treatment. He listened to all my concerns and took time to explain endometriosis very clearly to me. He later diagnosed me with deep infiltrating endometriosis after an MRI which he also explained the results in great depth. A few months later I had a robotic assisted surgery performed by Mr Amer Raza and two other consultants which I had met with previously and who were also very knowledgeable in endometriosis. After my surgery Mr Raza explained every step of the surgery with a video and how this linked to all my symptoms and pain. My surgery went really well and I am very grateful that I had Mr Amer Raza as my Surgeon.

I am Betty's daughter. My mum has mobility issues. Getting her from the car park into the diagnostics centre was incredibly difficult. We borrowed a wheel chair from the helpful car park attendant. But it was raining so heavily that by the time we got inside my 87yr old mum was soaked to the skin. She had to sit in wet clothing for 4.5hrs until I got her home and changed. Luckily the car park attendant helped us back to the car at the end of her procedure. You REALLY need a drop-off right zone at the door to the centre, with seats inside to help relatives get their lives ingress in safely.. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, but even with their help, this was a very stressful visit fdue to lack of access and horrendous weather conditions.

The entire team was also very kind, helpful, and attentive, which made me feel comfortable and well looked after. I had a similar injection previously in the USA, and I must say the care and overall experience at your hospital were far superior. Everything was done with great attention and professionalism, and I left feeling confident and optimistic about my recovery.

I had my first cataract operation on 1st September which was successful but not quite improved sufficiently for me to meet legal requirements to be able to resume driving. Mr Sheik operated on my second cataract on 3rd September, reviewed me on 6th September and so pleased to tell me I was now able to drive again. He was so professional, efficient and kind throughout my visits. I can't find the words to express my appreciation and profound gratitude towards him and to the other members of his team. After suffering for so long with my back and terrible leg pain. I eventually had my surgery - more than previously advised - once the multidisciplinary team had reviewed my scans. I was informed of this when I went for my education and training session with the spinal nurse.. I am 2 weeks post op and the difference is huge and clear to see in my face and the way I’m walking I know I need to take my time and not over do it , as I need to heal and recover from years of pain and poor mobility. I’m looking forward to seeing mr sapare on the 10/12/25 at my 6 weeks post op appointment

I have been to see Miss Bowring and Miss Evans for abnormal bleeding which was solved by the insertion of a Mirena coil. Unfortunately, the Mirena coil became dislodged (because of separate medical issues) and needed removing and reinserting. I trusted Miss Bowring and Miss Evans with my care and felt well informed and supported from beginning to end. In addition, their PA, Jemma, is knowledge and extremely helpful - she went above and beyond to help me when I encountered issues with my insurer. I cannot recommend London Gynaecology enough - 11/10!

Today I came to the practice to visit Dr Andy Brown. I was initially quite nervous however every member of staff was so welcoming and comforting. Upon entering I was greeted by the front of house and offered a hot drink. The waiting room was soothing and I didn’t have to wait very long before the nurse called me in. I expressed my concerns and worries and Dr Andy talked me through all off them and really reassured me. He gave me options and explained them all thoroughly as well as giving me advice on what I need. I highly recommend going to him.

Absolutely amazing, I cannot fault the care and support I have received. I may not be able to climb mountains, but I can carry on with my walking, taking care of myself at the same time. I couldn't have wished for a better Consultant to carry out the surgery and the follow up consultation enabled me to verbally express my gratitude for what he has done. I am totally in a very good space both with my mental health being the best it's been for a long time and the fact that I am mobile without pain. Thank you once again from a very happy me!

Joshua was very friendly and professional listened and asked questions regarding how my son sustained his injury to his ankle. A thorough examination was given and then Joshua explained what he believed the injury to be and what my son needed to do to help mend the ankle. He was taken to the gym and shown strengthening exercises and advised to wear a supportive brace which we have now and is definitely helping. We have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks.

The Spire has excellent facilities (car parking, waiting area, consulting rooms etc) and the reception staff are very attentive and helpful. The “formal check in” using an iPad is an unnecessary hurdle for patients to negotiate. The earlier system of just checking in with the receptionist was much better. My appointment with Dr. Balerdi was on time and a very useful session. Re. Dr. Balerdi himself, my very postive comments are in an earlier section.

Miss Summerhayes is fantastic. She is very reassuring, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a terrific bedside manner, which eased the strss of my cancer treatment. Lyn Corlass keeps the process running smoothly and has always gone the extra mile to ensure that there was minimal waiting time for tests, treatments and appointments. Over all, they have made a very difficult time, much easier to deal with.
