Dr Ahmad Khwanda is an extremely attentive, highly qualified, and clinically thoughtful physician, thorough in every aspect of his work. He not only accurately diagnosed anemia of chronic disease — a condition that had previously been overlooked and even denied — but also manages my primary cardiological condition with great competence, prescribing appropriate investigations and the correct treatment. His overall clinical approach fully aligns with the most up-to-date international guidelines. Thanks to the treatment he prescribed, I feel well and my health condition has significantly improved. Pleasant waiting area with self-service drinks available. Within an hour you are called and escorted into the preparation/recovery room where you are prepared for the operation and the procedure is explained including a visit from the surgeon to check if you have any questions. The operation takes place in the adjacent theatre where again efforts are made to keep you informed as to what’s happening and before you know it you are escorted back to your recovery area for water and a biscuit. Staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. Once thoroughly checked out you return to the waiting area to be collected by your escort who has already been called to say your are ready for collection. I was back home within 2 hours

I have consulted with Dr Kandan several times since my bypass surgery, and have always found him to be courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in assisting with post surgery symptoms. He took time to listen and discuss various aspects of my cardio recovery, and took on board my comments and concerns, rather than simply issuing another prescription. He did amazing work in liaising with my GP in relation to cholesterol levels and my intolerance to certain statins, and that is now in a much better place thanks to him.

I received surgery to repair a hernia at the Nuffield Hospital Bristol with Mr Khan. The operation was successful with no complications and I've now recovered. Mr Khan provided plenty of reassurance with time to ask questions prior to surgery, on the day and afterwards and the Nuffield made for much more relaxing/stress free experience than visiting a larger hospital. I would recommend him and this hospital for anyone needing this surgery.

The MRI scan was really quick, and the staff made sure I was comfortable the entire time. They were really kind, and explained every step of the process so I knew what to expect. As it was an abdominal/pelvic MRI scan, I was given gowns and socks to wear during the procedure, so I didn't need to worry about having metal in my clothing. I also received a CD of my scans on request.
