Doctor Shan Low was our angel doctor. Without exaggeration. Initially, we sought her as a private pregnancy care consultant to help with my wife’s early pregnancy bleeding, she not only calmed us down but explained us what to expect during pregnancy. However during the later stages we had serious complications that raised our pregnancy to very high risk - SGA, single artery umbilical cord and others. Had doctor Shan Low not correctly diagnosed our baby’s bottom 1st percentile weight(!) escalated our case and recommended the safest delivery mode, the safety and health of our baby and my wife would have been significantly compromised. While our baby was delivered in public/NHS facilities, and despite financial incentives, doctor Shan Low never once tried to convince us to switch to private care delivery, her outmost focus was on wellbeing and safety of our baby and my wife. This is a shining example of professional and ethical integrity. Our baby girl came to the world healthily and we are immensely grateful to doctor Shan Low for her support, care and advice. She is not only a great doctor but a warm and genuinely caring person. Thank you doctor Shan Low!

My hearing care assistant Claire was brilliant. I only made the appointment because I was spending New Year in the area from London and still had muffled hearing despite being under treatment for wax removal in both ears. I had already gone down the local NHS route, which uses only irrigation, to no effect and the private (Specsavers) route, which uses only micro-suction, with limited success after several visits. So I was delighted that with just one treatment of about twenty minutes at Meadows and Wood my ears were completely clear. Claire used both methods in appropriate combination to get the result I wanted. She was very pleasant, friendly and extremely professional and fully answered any questions I had. She was also careful to keep me informed of what she was doing at every point of the treatment whilst ensuring that there was no pain or discomfort. I would unhesitatingly recommend Meadows and Wood to anybody. The standard of treatment I received was so high that it might well be worth making the trip from London the next time I need their services!

I recently had an operation performed by Professor Shaikh. In the lead up, I had several discussions with him about the way forward; he was highly professional and very helpful. He explained the options to me very carefully, he gave advice and allowed time for me to ask questions which he answered fully. However, I was over weight and he explained very carefully the risks posed in surgery by the extra weight I was carrying. We decided a way forward together; we set a date for the operation, allowing time for me to lose some weight. I was very grateful to him for providing me with a clear focus and for his encouragement. By the date of the operation, I had lost a substantial amount of weight and the operation was performed successfully. I have a great deal to thank Professor Shaikh for - in addition to his surgical expertise, I am grateful for his advice, encouragement and support. Both myself and my daughter have been patients of Dr Bakshi for over a year and he has helped us hugely. Recently my 18 month old was suffering from back to back viruses and worsening rashes. I contacted Dr Bakshi in desperation just before Christmas as the treatment advice from the GP was not working, and it was looking like we would be unable to travel and see family while she was so unwell. Dr Bakshi identified 2 types of skin infection and was able to advise the correct regimen of creams to use, and we were able to see our family at Christmas. Thank you so much for your kindness and empathy, and for always going above and beyond. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Bakshi for both adults and children; he is one of the kindest and most helpful and knowledgeable consultants I have come across, and his secretary Rahul is also lovely and very responsive and helpful.
