I was referred to Newmedica Newcastle for eye cataract surgery by my optician. I had my first eye surgery done in September, and my second eye done in December. I received excellent service from all the Newmedica colleagues whenever I visited; for my pre-surgery consultation, the surgeries themselves, and the post-surgery visits. Those working on the reception were friendly and made me feel welcome. The waiting area was clean and tidy, with hot drinks available. The colleagues who did the testing, pre-surgery administration, and post-surgery follow up checks were all very knowledgeable. They took me through the surgery preparations, explaining the process as they went, putting me at ease and answering any questions. After surgery they made sure I was aware of what I needed to do over the following three weeks to ensure my eyes healed completely. The surgical team were very proficient, and I felt I was in safe hands. The procedure was explained at every step, putting me at ease. The consultant for my first procedure was Nicholas Wride. The procedure itself took just under 3 minutes, which I had not expected, as internet searches indicated it would take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. I was so impressed and, as I was told I could have the same consultant for the cataract removal procedure on my second eye, I didn’t hesitate to ask for Nicholas Wride again. My second procedure was equally as expertly performed, and this time took 3 minutes 20 seconds. There was no pain during the procedures and only very slight discomfort straight afterwards. Other than the pain relief eye drops that were put in for the surgical procedure, I didn’t need to take any painkillers at all. The hardest part for me was remembering to use the post-surgery eye drops the clinic provided, as my eyes felt that good. Three weeks after surgery, I attended the clinic for post-surgery follow up checks. I was signed off from the clinic after the follow up check on my second eye. My vision is now excellent, and I only need to use reading glasses for small print. Before the surgery I wore varifocal lens glasses at all times. I wasn’t expecting the improvements in my sight to be quite so good, so I’m pleased I took up the opportunity to have my cataracts removed and really pleased that it was Newmedica Newcastle who did the procedures and looked after me and my sight so well. I contacted Mr Kapoor following a recommendation from a family friend at a point where my condition had become severe. I was unable to walk and was spending much of the day crawling due to pain. Mr Kapoor saw me promptly, and after discussion we agreed that a microdiscectomy was the best course of action. From my initial consultation to surgery was just six days, which was remarkable and hugely reassuring. The relief I felt when I woke up from surgery was instant. The sciatic pain had completely disappeared, and for the first time in a long while I was able to move freely. I genuinely feel that Mr Kapoor gave me my life back and put me firmly on the road to recovery. I would also like to mention Naomi, his secretary, who was consistently helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her, even when she was unwell herself. I would strongly recommend Mr Kapoor and the team at Spire Macclesfield to anyone needing spinal surgery.

I had a lipoma removed from my shoulder, and Mr Biddlestone was the first Doctor who truly took it seriously and didn’t dismiss it as just a cosmetic issue. He explained everything thoroughly, including what could potentially go wrong, how the area may look after removal and the chances of it returning. This really put me at ease and I felt empowered and informed before deciding to go ahead with the procedure. After the procedure Mr Biddlestone let me see the lipoma that had been removed, which I actually appreciated. He also explained how he had stitched the wound, so when I saw it afterward, I knew not to panic and understood that it would continue to improve over time and this has very much been the case. I felt informed, reassured, and well cared for throughout and although I hope never to have the need to meet Mr Biddlestone again I would have no hesitation in returning to his care should the need arise. Highly recommend!!!

We decided to visit them after reading their positive reviews and wanted to give it a try. After reviewing my test results, they recommended a three-month course of treatment. The instructions and cooking process were clear and easy to follow. After completing the three months of treatment, I went for another test and was delighted to learn that my FSH levels had gone down, which felt unbelievable and made us extremely happy. That said, I would have liked to learn more about my TCM diagnosis and what it meant, as this was not really explained to me. This was a bit disappointing, as I was genuinely interested—especially considering the cost of the consultations. Communication and transparency could have been better in this regard. However, Professor Au did call us to reassure us whenever he felt it was needed, which we appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone who is struggling with fertility and looking for support.

I was referred to Mr Bast for a significantly deviated septum that was obstructing my breathing and causing sleep apneas, occasional snoring, and resulting in poor sleep quality. He and his team were excellent. The operation lasted 4 hours, during which - given that they had to substantially reshape my septum anyways - they even managed to straighten a slight bump, which was a nice plus. But most importantly, after the recovery period, my breathing difficulties are a thing of the past and it's making a big difference in my life. I just had my one-year follow-up, and I only have good things to say about Mr Bast and his team. The professionalism, kindness and ability they showed with the results they achieved cannot be faulted.

He explained the process and outlined the risks of the proposed surgery in clear layman's language that I could understand.. He did not sugar the pill! I came away totally confident not only in his personal ability but also in the decisions that I have now made regarding my treatment plan. First impressions are very good.

I had a 2 level spinal fusion and decompression carried out in 2 stages to relieve my sciatica. Mr Molloy had been extremely thorough in his initial examination and identified a problem previously missed by another spinal surgeon. My operations have been a total success and I have no sciatica whatsoever. Mr Molloy was meticulous in organising and overseeing my recovery to ensure there were no complications. In my opinion he is a brilliant surgeon who looks beyond the operation in hand in order to mitigate problems that might otherwise occur at a later stage.

I recently visited Dr Kathryn at The Real You Clinic for some botox. She took the time to listen to everything I said, and gave very good advice, and I am very happy with the results. Most of my lines have disappeared, ond even the couple of deep forehead lines I had, now appear so much softer. She has achieved this, while still maintaining a natural look., which was exactly what I wanted. The clinic is in a lovely setting and always feels very clean and welcoming. I would 100% recommend Dr Katnryn to anyone looking to get botox.

He was always there every day, assessing our Mum, explaining his clinical decisions, and involving us in planning next stages of management. Approachable, empathetic, wise, he is a shining example for all of us who have the privilege of doing our job. St.Mary's is very lucky to have him.

I have only positive things to say! I managed to get an appointment at a very convenient time for myself, and the staff worked really hard to make that happen. I was very well looked after on my day in hospital. The nurse was very nice and showed great empathy when I was feeling a little nervous. The procedure went well and I am now (almost) recovered, with just my final consultation to go. This was my third experience at McIndoe, and they were all equally as good.

The building was easy to find and receptionist greeted me with a smile. I was really nervous for my allergy testing after suffering an anaphylaxis and I was put at ease straight away by Dr Rutkowski. He was super informative explaining why I could have had the reaction, explained what would happen with the testing and the control he had of any reaction occurred. He talked the whole time what he was doing next which really helped me feel less terrified.

I have been on NHS waiting lists for years and they have misdiagnosed me and fobbed me off with cheap options. Some feedback was the lack of information about parking. I also tried to follow the directions link and it failed on an apple device. A quick Google took me to the door fine. The appointment start time was late and my parking meter was at its end. Luckily no warden about. So some info on parking and timings to expect would be helpful. Thanks for reading.
