From initial contact, Dr Sujay Chandran demonstrated prompt responsiveness, sound clinical judgement, and a proactive approach. He provided clear, appropriate advice at an early stage and actively guided the decision-making process, ensuring that my mother’s safety and wellbeing remained the priority at all times. Recognising the clinical urgency, Dr Sujay Chandran took steps to expedite her assessment, ensuring investigations were performed and reviewed without unnecessary delay. He reviewed the echocardiogram and ECG promptly and conducted a thorough clinical consultation immediately thereafter. His explanation of the findings was clear and precise, and his diagnosis and management plan were well considered and evidence-based. Dr Chandran demonstrated excellent communication skills and engaged in shared decision-making, taking into account my mother’s preferences and her ability to comply with treatment. His recommendations regarding medication optimisation, diuretic therapy, and onward referral were balanced, appropriate, and clearly explained. Notably, Dr Chandran provided ongoing follow-up after the consultation, checking on my mother’s condition and offering clear guidance should her symptoms change. This level of continuity and professional diligence is uncommon and highly reassuring. The consultation was conducted in a formal, focused, and highly professional manner, reflecting the highest clinical standards. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Sujay Chandran as a conscientious, thorough, and dedicated clinician.

After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. Mr Wilson is not only a fantastic surgeon, he is a fantastic man. He is very understanding, empathic and very knowledgeable. Mr Wilson has been with me throughout a very difficult journey, I had a full term stillbirth back in 2022, Mr Wilson delivered my son. I truly believe if Mr Wilson hadn’t been the consultant on call that evening then my life would look completely different now. Mr Wilson then undertook bilateral salpingectomy surgery on me to investigate fertility problems. Again I was met with compassion and empathy. I then became pregnant with my rainbow baby, the pregnancy was very difficult mentally and Mr Wilson and his secretary continuously checked in on me to ensure I had the right support and care. Mr Wilson then delivered my baby again by c-section, I was asked for my input as to how I wanted the surgery to look in terms of music, talking, atmosphere etc. Mr Wilson ensured all my wishes were adhered to and he even managed to avoid further complications which were expected. Mr Wilson is truly the best consultant and surgeon and I wouldn’t trust my life in anyone else’s hands. Thank you Mr Wilson.

Considering i am a private patient very Dissapointed. 1. I was contacted after making the initial appointment asking where i had my MRI scans. I gave the lady all details only to be contacted again the next day stating they could'nt locate them. I then gave them more comprehensive details and was assured if any issues i would be contacted. I attended the practice for the consultation on 27/11/25 only to be told by Mr. Bacon we could not proceed as he did not have my scans. I proceeded to to ask for the pre med tests during which an anneasatist was very rude to me because unfortunatly i have a needle phobea. 2. Prior to the operation i rang to ask that during the operation day is there somewhere for my partner[ ie. in the ward room etc] and informed yes. She was informed on arrival at 6.30am with me that she was not allowed on the ward until 6pm . We had travelled 80miles to the hospital that day. If we had been informed prior too alternatve arrangements could have been made for her.

I was extremely nervous having had a bad cataract surgery experience previously. However the staff went out of the way to make me feel comfortable, with a particular shout out to Bruce who was calm, funny, knowledgeable and held my hand throughout the procedure. Mr Ainsworth was warm and kind, it was good to meet him before the surgery. The whole procedure was explained and was over so quickly. It was a very personalised experience and my recovery has been quick and straightforward. I cannot recommend Newmedica highly enough, particularly for nervous patients.

Overall the experience was excellent, with one frustrating aspect - initially I was told that my surgery would be at 15:00, and that I should attend the hospital at 13:00. A couple of days before the surgery, I was told that the surgery time had changed to 14:15 and I should attend at 12:15. I did so, and was then kept waiting for over an hour in the lobby as the room was not ready - giving the impression that it was unnecessary for us to have come early. A little frustrating, however the staff were incredibly friendly and kind.

Having been for a much longer and more complicated surgery, a year ago, I already knew that I would be in good hands for this, more minor procedure. The staff as so attentive and friendly, it was lovely to see most of the same familiar faces and to be remembered by them. Everything is exceptionally clean and I felt very well looked after, my consultant saw me before and after the procedure and kept me well informed. The anaesthetist also explained everything that would happen, answering any questions.
