On visiting consultant Subhajit Ghosh a prescription was given to the nurse to be ordered for my next appointment as it was something that was not kept in stock at OSD. I needed to check my diary to see if I could make this next appointment at OSD Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead to have the prescription or, see the consultant at Spire Hospital on another day. On checking my diary I found I could make it and I phoned and arranged an appointment with Subhajit Ghosh. Unfortunately, the prescription had not been ordered so when I turned up for my next appointment I was unable to have my treatment and I would have to see him again another time. I appreciate mix ups happen but thought OSD Healthcare should check their procedures in instances such as this, so that prescriptions are ordered once patients have confirmed they can make future appointments.

I have always received effective treatments and seen quick and positive results. Everything went ok but if I had one criticism it would be I felt that the surgical area was very busy and needed more nurses . I was left in my room with no one coming in for quite a long time and although offered a coffee after the procedure I eventually had to ring my bell and a Dr came and brought me a coffee . Luckily I am not a nervous patient but if I had been there wasn’t enough contact with nursing staff . They’d appear and say they were going to do something and then disappear and not come back .

Mr Datta has what seems to me to be an open and honest/friendly approach which I appreciated. He is good at putting us at ease as well as managing expectations realistically. He was happy to answer any questionsn I or my wife had. We were not kept waiting more than a few minutes from our appointment time.

I was pleasantly surprised about the efficiency of Newmedica Worcester. I had only used NHS services prior to my NHS Newmedica appointments for cataract removal on both eyes. I was seen very quickly after referral by Specsavers Malvern. Each appointment went flawlessly. I also had laser treatment in my right eye. All staff were friendly and professional and I am very grateful to be able to see clearly once more.

Friendly staff at Main Reception who gave clear directions to Imaging Department. Department staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Radiographer was great - clear with his questions and explanations. Changing room was a good size, but would benefit from redecoration and coat hooks/hangers would be useful. Overall, a good experience, but would have liked the report to have been sent to the referrer quicker.
