Thursday 27 July 2025 Arrived at 11am for an 11.30am appointment. Was asked specifically to arrive early in order for a numbing cream to be put in place before the Botox procedure. I mentioned to the male receptionist the reason I had arrived early, he looked puzzled. At 11.45am I again spoke to same receptionist asking why the delay and he went off to find someone. A nurse then came and asked exactly what I was having done that day, I was flabbergasted. Now 12.05pm and the nurse then came to tell me that they had no knowledge that a numbing process had to take place. I will add here that it is the second time that I have had this procedure by Mr Rydha. They produced a free cup of tea as a softener whilst I watched Mr Rhyda call yet another patient in before me. Now 12.15pm. I called over the nurse and asked why is that patient going in before me as I have now been here 1.15 hours. Nurse runs after Mr Rydha. They decide between then that I need to have the numbing cream administered. Mr Rhyda goes off with his new patient and nurse administers numbing cream and says it will take 45 mins to take effect. Numbing cream never ever takes that long to take effect. I go outside again to wait. FINALLY I get to see Mr Rydha who asks me if I know how many units of Botox he used last time. I thought he was joking, but no. Whilst waiting for the numbing cream to take affect I rang Mr Ryda's secretary - Theresa Jellis. She said the mix up was because I had cancelled the appointment three times which was totally untrue. From the start of making the enquiry in April, Theresa had offered me a date the next day that I had accepted the following day by e-mail. Unfortunately, when I went back to her to say 'yes please' she told me that this appointment was not longer available. She then offered another day but I had to check with my daughter who would be driving me as being almost 80 years of age I couldn't possibly drive 1.5 hours on busy roads by myself and in any case I would need a chaperone of sorts after the procedure had been completed. As my daughter was on 'Jury Service' I could not accept this either. We then made the appointment for July, which was such a long wait for me but I had to wait as I needed the treatment. I don't think Theresa liked me phoning her and she said not very kindly, that "perhaps next time you find another suitable place to go for your treatment if you are not happy". The treatment cost me £1,075 and I had to travel over 1.45 hours to get there, so I was not happy when she told me that. I thought that it was rude. I actually told Mr Rydha and the nurse, what she had said to me and Mr Rhyda said that he would have a word with her, but I thought he said it a bit tongue in cheek. The condition that I have suffered for years is called Cranial Facial Hyperhidrosis, a very debilitating condition and it was only two years ago that I was lucky enough to have found Mr Rydha, who does such an excellent job. The condition is brought on a lot by stress, and boy was I stressed on Thursday. Your comments would be greatly appreciated as I really do not want to lose contact with Mr Rydha.

    Mr Mfazo Hove

My 82 year old Mum saw Mr Hove having been diagnosed with cataract and glaucoma in both eyes. Her vision was virtually non-existent in one and eye and very poor in the other. She is a very nervous lady and had delayed treatment because she was scared. From the first meeting with Mr Hove she felt more at ease but still very anxious about the procedure. Although the initial consultation was at the Phoenix Hospital in Chelmsford, we opted for surgery at the Weymouth Street Hospital the following week. The support and communication from start to finish was first class. We were collected and returned home by taxi, the hospital was outstanding; I waited in the room during the procedure. It was like being in a luxury hotel suite, with air conditioning, ensuite and friendly staff checking in on me. To top off the experience we were both offered a three course meal from an extensive menu that was freshly cooked and nicely presented before our taxi arrived to take us back home. The procedure was Bilateral cataract surgery with monofocal lenses. From the time Mum left the room to returning was just under an hour. She had a small amount of bruising and for the first two weeks her eyes were painful and prickly. However, over the following days she was able to see more clearly and for the first time in ages she could read the subtitles on the TV. Following her aftercare appointment, she is delighted that all she needs right now is a pair of over-the-counter reading glasses. The hospital is outstanding, the care is great, the outcome (in our case) is incredible. But what about Mr Hove? Well, this is gentleman whom you can trust with the most precious gift you have and he will help you to see again. Having said that, he doesn't make false promises, he is professional and honest with you and doesn't sugarcoat it. He is super efficient, puts you at ease and provides the best care. We couldn't fault our experience in anyway. Thank you Mr Hove and team for all that you have done and given my Mum.

I had a really great experience at Clariday Weight Loss Clinic and couldn’t recommend it enough. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and friendly. I had my consultation with Ali, and he took the time to really listen to my goals without making me feel rushed or pressured. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and answered every question I had with honesty and patience. One thing that really stood out was the body composition scan. It showed things like my hydration levels, body fat, muscle mass, and other important health information. Ali went through every result with me in detail, explaining what it all meant and how it related to my weight loss journey. It wasn’t just about the numbers—it helped me understand my body much better. What I appreciated most was how honest and genuine Ali was. He didn’t make unrealistic promises or try to sell me anything I didn’t need. Instead, he gave me realistic advice and a personalised plan that made me feel confident and motivated. If you’re looking for a weight loss clinic that genuinely cares about your progress and treats you as a person rather than just another client, I would definitely recommend Clariday. Thank you, Ali, for such a positive and informative experience!

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Sharma. From the initial consultation through to the day of my operation, his communication was clear, honest and reassuring. He was professional, direct and to the point, which I greatly appreciated, taking the time to ensure I understood exactly what to expect. Immediately after the operation, Dr Sharma came to see me and clearly explained what he had found, how he had repaired the damage, and what I needed to do during my recovery. His explanations were straightforward and easy to understand, giving me complete confidence in the procedure and the road ahead. The nursing and theatre staff were equally outstanding. They were friendly, professional and did everything they could to make what could have been a stressful experience feel comfortable and relaxed. At my follow-up appointment, Dr Sharma was once again excellent. He talked me through the operation in detail, showed me photographs of the repair, and answered all of my questions thoroughly before I asked them. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr Sharma to anyone requiring his expertise. That said, with any luck, I won't be needing his professional services again!

I came to see Dr. Tewari feeling quite hesitant and unsure what I wanted to do. The only thing I knew was that I wanted to look a bit younger and fresher. Dr. Tewari was extremely professional, knowledgeable and warm, immediately making me feel at ease. She explained different options, pros and cons of each, and we settled on some very low dose botox in some areas of my face. The procedure was very quick and almost painless. Afterwards, Dr. Tewari gave me a lot of information how to look after my skin better in terms of creams and supplements. After 48 hours something miraculous happened to my face, although no one else noticed, apart from some comments on how well I looked. My facial muscle were still moving very naturally, but the frown lines between my eyebrows had disappeared and the little lines around my mouth were smoothed out. Immediately I looked far less grumpy and somehow this made me feel less grumpy too! Thank you very much, I will certainly be back!

Overall, my experience was excellent. Dr Hanafi explained my condition and treatment clearly, answered my questions thoroughly, and involved me in decisions about my care. I never felt rushed and always felt listened to. The treatment has been very effective, with my PSA falling from over 15 to 0.15, and my quality of life remains good. I have great confidence in Dr Hanafi and the team at The Christie and am very grateful for their care. My only suggestion for improvement is that I would have appreciated earlier imaging when my PSA first rose significantly. As a patient, I felt anxious that scans were delayed until my PSA reached double figures, and I would have welcomed earlier reassurance or investigation.

The location was a short walk from the local station and on arrival I was greeted warmly by the reception staff, where I was directed to the floor of my appointment. Signing in was straight forward, although the form completed on the day could maybe have been done electronically ahead of the appointment The waiting room was clean and the TV helped take my mind off the appointment. Following my appointment I was directed to the x-ray department where I had a 15 minute wait to be seen, which was excellent considering the x-ray appointment was only made while I was there. This is how all medical appointments should be.

I went to the London clinic to get my teeth checked. My implants and crowns were fitted a year ago in Dentafly Antalya, so I wanted to make sure everything had settled down. The clinic was easy to get to, I travelled via car from Lincolnshire. My only complaint of the whole experience was the lack of car parking . Other than that, everything was good. From the minute I walked through the door till I left the clinic, it was all good. The staff were friendly and professional, everything was explained to me and the clinic was clean and professional looking. I will go back again.

I’ve had issues with my lower back for several years, which restricted me from pursuing a range of physical activities. Over the past eight months, Karl has put me on a gym program that has virtually eliminated my back pain. My back is now the strongest and most comfortable it has ever felt. Karl was incredibly helpful in teaching me the correct techniques for various exercises and explaining exactly what was causing my back pain. His support throughout the process has been invaluable. I’d highly recommend Karl to anyone looking for a physiotherapist.

Catherine’s assessment and proposed course of action were very clearly presented: lots of opportunity for me to clarify concerns. I felt in safe hands.

Excellent and entirely helpful call. Incidentally, on this form itself, my appointment was a video call, so some of the options on this form simply are not relevant and unfortunately do not allow one to opt out, i.e. to leave irrelevant questions unanswered. ‘Was the practice clean’ is an obvious example. Perhaps this could be borne in mind, thank you.
