The procedure itself was far better than I expected, and I felt I was in extremely safe hands from start to finish. I’d also like to recognise the nursing staff and the wider team, who were all incredibly kind, welcoming and professional. Every member of staff made me feel comfortable and well looked after. I recently had my first operation at Nuffield Health Hospital Cheltenham and found the overall experience outstanding. The hospital itself is lovely and exceptionally clean, and every member of staff I encountered from reception through to the nurses and doctors was friendly, professional, and clearly highly competent. I felt completely well cared for throughout my stay. The private room was excellent and the food was very good. As someone who was understandably apprehensive about their first operation, I couldn’t have asked for a better environment. I would rate the hospital very highly and would recommend it without hesitation.

I had been under the care of Mr Gianluca Lucchese with the NHS at Guys & St Thomas' but had not met him personally prior to this visit. It was a pleasure to meet him, and given that he is about to perform major surgery on me it was excellent to spend so much time with him. He had a lot of information to impart and I had a lot of questions. We had sufficient time to discuss the upcoming operation in detail, and I had all of my questions addressed thoughtfully and honestly. My life is literally in his hands, so it was very important to get to meet him, properly.

NVH is great. My only reservation is that the pharmacy staff, while charming, proceed on the basis that you have unlimited time to wait. On handing in your prescription, you are invited to take a seat and consider buying refreshments in the entrance to hospital. There is little or no sense of urgency in the preparation of prescribed medications. Other members of hospital staff drop by for a casual chat with the pharmacy staff. Many of the pressed professionals using NVH are time-poor, and need to get back to their work, ideally without taking hours out.

Overall, I had a positive experience. The medical team, including the Nursing staff were professional, but at the same time demonstrated an excellent caring attitude, such as making me feel at ease. The consultant was nice and explained everything. He was also ‘ down to earth’ with a good sense of humour. I would highly recommend this centre to anyone experiencing issues I’ve worked in the NHS for many years and I know the standards I would expect from a service. Therefore overall I would rate my experience as 10/10 - exceptional service Thank you.

As always, all hospital staff were polite and professional, but friendly too. Attended for a follow-up appointment, but also managed to get an echocardiogram and blood tests. Several hours waiting, but better than having to return for tests. Dr Byrne has been my cardiologist for 11 years now. So good to have complete confidence in your doctor. As always, he was honest with us, professional, but friendly too. My cardiology problems are very worrying for me, but it’s a huge relief not to have to worry about those looking after me at The Cleveland.

Every appointment with Mr Iqbal was efficient, and the staff on the day of surgery were friendly and well organised. However, the standard of care from the night staff and some of the day staff was disappointing. On my second night, after my observations were checked late in the evening, I wasn’t checked on again at all. Then, on the day I was discharged, it felt as though they were trying to get me out as quickly as possible. Considering I paid privately, this part of the experience was a significant let‑down.

To be honest I left today really disappointed with my blood test experience. It’s usually amazing and the practitioner is usually empathetic, engaging and a massive support. The practitioner today did nothing wrong but it wasn’t the usual amazing clinic experience - it was cold, functional and language issues was a factor at times. Please can I be clear the practitioner did nothing wrong but it was more like an NHS experience rather than a private clinic.

Absolutely fantastic surgeon – I had difficulty walking due to bone spurs and bunion, he virtually remodeled my foot with a cheilectomy, osteotomy and bunion op – I am now walking around again like new after 11 weeks. Throughout the whole process Mr Molloy was reassuring, took time to explain procedures and answer questions; I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome or a better surgeon!!
