Had a very warm welcoming at Abbington house, staff and peers were very nice. Room was nice, quite overwhelming to start with, with it being my first time at rehab. I then started to feel more comfortable with the help of the staff and my peers, putting me out of my comfort zone probably was the best thing they could of done otherwise I wouldn’t of been so open. Staff very accommodating, my therapist was very empathetic, I got on with her very well, opened up slowly but eventually we got there. I still feel I have stuff to work on, my co dependency and self love but I know that will come in time, from outside sources, just think they should not of mentioned that I would be getting DBT therapy whilst I was here as that was one of the selling points to me coming to Abbington house. The only other down side was prior to coming in I was told I would have at least one, one to one a week. But that did not happen for the the first 3 weeks, so felt a bit let down, so did my parents which they then raised there concerned to Mikey, who was quick to come up with 2 options to compensate this, which I thought was very good.

I have been under the care of Miss Vicky Lee for over a year after being diagnosed with TED in July 2024. From the outset, she has been exceptionally thorough in her examinations and clearly very passionate about her work. Her explanations are always clear, factual, and easy to understand, and appointments are handled efficiently without ever feeling rushed. She is understanding and empathetic, and she is excellent at following up with appointment letters and promptly responding to any questions. Miss Lee also encouraged me to take part in a clinical trial. Although we are still in the early stages, she consistently takes the time to explain procedures and carry out thorough assessments to ensure accurate monitoring. Her approach is both consistent and highly professional, and her empathy, combined with her evident knowledge and experience in this field, is extremely reassuring. I truly feel that I am in very safe hands under her care.

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

I had knee surgery with Mr Bailey in June of this year. It was my first time being treated by him, despite having had three previous knee surgeries over the past 14 years post a ski accident. Without question, his surgery was the best experience and outcome I’ve ever had. His manner was brilliant, calm, reassuring, and genuinely supportive. I felt completely confident throughout the whole process. My knee has felt the best it has since I was a teenager, before my ski accident. Thanks to his exceptional skill and care, I was able to run a 76-kilometre ultramarathon in November, just five months after surgery and finished in 9 hours and 21 minutes. I consider that an incredible testament to his work. I’m now returning to him for treatment on my other knee and I recommend Mr Bailey to absolutely everyone.

I visited The Clinic yesterday for a Virtue RF facial treatment. I was treated by Dr Jenny Doyle who is welcoming, personable, informative and professional, she answered my questions with ease and is extremely knowledge in aesthetics. She is also an NHS eye surgeon as well as caring out private cosmetic eyelid surgery . Treatment - the numbing cream worked quickly, the treatment was almost painless, the face mask afterwards was lovely and soothing and my skin looked plump and fresh as I left, with no redness or swelling. I am looking forward to seeing the results over the next month. The Clinic has all the latest most advanced non surgical equipment available. I highly recommend.

Very efficient but my one concern is that in the process of trying to sort out the problem mis communication somewhere along the line I was prescribed the wrong increase of a drug that I am taking which resulted in me suffering a very bad case of diarrhoea my doctor at the time questioned it but to no avail hence the problem it wasn’t Dr Marie or my GP so it’s someone who answered the original question phone call who took it on themselves to increase the wrong drug according to Dr Marie and this shouldn’t happen other than that I can’t fault anything and hopefully now I’m back on the correct drug it will clear up and I can get back to eating a Norman diet again 🤞🤞

My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.

Very good overall. Minor gripes only would be the limited parking, limited capacity in waiting areas and that some seating is too low to meet the needs of hip / knee patients . The roll out of the new call centre facility makes for a patchy experience at times and it’s concerning that online accounts fail to show all patient appointments - even with the consultants - which may lead to confusion and potential missed appointments. Work in progress and will surely iron out in time.

I had a gastroscopy which was smooth and practically painless which tested for a wider range of issues than I have tested for in the past. I now feel a lot more informed about the potential causes of my symptoms and confident in next steps to recovery.

I had a root canal a year ago in another practice and been having issues since with no resolve and was told I needed to have the tooth taken out. I saw Dr Mo and he was very helpful, he took his time and explained things wonderfully! Had the root canal re done with him and it’s been 6 months now with no issues and I got to keep my tooth! Very grateful to him and would highly recommend!
