I met Chris Hoo at the end of May for my first appointment regarding breast reduction. I had researched Chris and found excellent reviews regarding his work. Even though I was slightly apprehensive I needed the surgery to help with my back pain. Chris and Pauline explained everything before the surgery including all the risks. I got my surgery at the end of July, was in overnight and then returned home to recover. I recovered well however I developed a redness on one breast after 5 weeks. I called the hospital and was seen the same day. Turned out I had an infection and was given a course of antibiotics. Chris was brilliant he scanned me and found a little pocket of fluid which needed drained. Within the week I had no redness or soreness and was feeling good. The next stage of recovery involved me massaging my scars to ensure they are minimised and to be honest they don’t look too bad. I increased my protein intake, take a protein shake every morning and a Vitamin C and Zinc drink to help with my recovery as they recommend.ed. I’m roughly 12 weeks post surgery, had my final appointment with Chris and I’m extremely happy with my results. I would like to thank Chris and his team they are absolutely amazing. I would also like to mention Paula the nurse who was with me before and after the operation and finally Pauline she was a star and helped me with the wound aftercare.

I arrived for my appointment earlier than scheduledas it was suoposed to be 11am but was told someone else was in surgery at around 12 noon to 1pm. So decided to wait. It was around 3-3:30pm when i was taken through. The surgeon and assistants were helpful and polite and did their utmost to put me at ease. The surgery only took over an hour or so and was very precise and was shown the result of each ear immediately after it was done. One of the medical assistants gave me a hand mirror to show what had been achieved.. I was initially pleased by Doctor Sabbagh' work but wont see the final result until swelling has gone down. When this was complete i was taken to a room, had my blood pressure taken and was given something to eat and drink and had to wait until Doctor sabbagh had seen me and provided me with fresh bandaging, headbands and co-codamol for any discomfort when the anaesthetic started to wear off before i could leave. It was a long day for me and could have done without unnecessary personal questions which made me uncomfortable but overall the staff and surgeon did a great job and would certainly recommend to anyone who require ear reduction and pinnaplasty.

Sadly, my last appointment as both Matt and I have come to the end of the road in what has been two years recovering from a road traffic accident only finding Matt in year two when I thought I would never return to active life again. Matt listened to me telling what had happened to me with compassion and concern giving me hope that life would return to normal albeit possibly taking two years from the start. He never pushed me to return on a weekly basis, the next appointment based on how things were going after the phone call two weeks later. So just as Matt predicted it is now two years and I am almost back to normal, and so very grateful for Matts persevering.

Dr Islam called to give me the the results of CT and blood tests, part of my post treatment surveillance programme for bowel cancer. I was grateful that his call was punctual, as this is a nervous moment.. Also that he immediately gave me the (good) result,. Thankfully, not much discussion was needed, just confirmation of the next test dates. I am very grateful to Dr Islam, Miss Conn and their teams for the excellent treatment they have given over the last six years, leading to my remission and my current busy, happy life.
