I’ve been seeing Hiba Ansari for over a year, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. Over the past year, Hiba has helped me treat several different issues, including my ankle, lower back, and most importantly, a long-standing shoulder dislocation problem. She monitored my progress very closely and consistently adjusted my exercises to suit my ability and recovery stage. I spent several months working with her to strengthen my shoulder, which was extremely weak and unstable after multiple dislocations. Following my shoulder surgery, Hiba played a huge role in my rehabilitation. She guided me through recovery and re-strengthening with great care and precision, helping me return to normal activities and sports with confidence. Thanks to her support, I’m now back to living a normal, active life without constant worry. She was also incredibly supportive with practical matters, helping me navigate insurance issues and sort out payment coverage for my sessions, which made a stressful situation much easier. In addition, Hiba has excellent professional connections and introduced me to one of the top shoulder surgeons in the UK, who performed my operation with excellent results. I had surgery in November at New Victoria Hospital for multiple abdominal hernias under Professor Frampton after seeking a second opinion, and I’m very glad I did. From the first consultation, he was friendly and reassuring, took the time to explain everything clearly, and answered all my questions, which put me at ease after a previous, less positive experience elsewhere. On the day of surgery, he came to see me beforehand and talked everything through again, which I really appreciated. The surgery itself went extremely well, using a no-mesh technique, and I was honestly surprised by how quickly I recovered. I had minimal pain and was back to normal activities within a week. I am now two months post-op and so far the hernias have stayed closed. I am able to do activities that would previously have caused me pain, which has made a huge difference to my day-to-day life. At my follow-up appointment, Professor Frampton was pleased with how well I’d healed and again took time to answer my questions. I felt listened to, well cared for, and very confident in his expertise throughout the whole process.

Overall experience was poor. After initial consultation I had little or no contact with the hospital, any contact was initiated by myself. Clear lack of communication between departments. I had already paid for my procedure and waiting for a surgery slot. Surgery was scheduled for a Wednesday but received a call the Friday before basically saying if I didnt drive up that day and do a blood test, the operation couldn't go ahead. Luckily I was in a position where I could do that but imagine if I had kids, couldn't get out of work, had no car/transport. The list goes on. The actual surgery seems to have gone well. (1 week post op). But.... the whole experience was pretty poor, no, very poor. I'd have been upset if this was the NHS but this was a privately paid procedure and if it wasn't for the fact that I had already booked time off work, staff cover, kennels for my Cane Corso's (which wasn't cheap) I genuinely would have asked for my money back and gone somewhere else.

I had a meniscal tear repair on 20th January. I am really disappointed and dismayed with the conflicting advice I was given regarding physiotherapy. An hour prior to surgery, Brad the physio told me I would be fully weight bearing after the operation. After the surgery a different physio told me I could not weight bear for three weeks and had me up and about practising walking on crutches. She also put a leg brace on my leg which was locked. I wasn't told to unlock it. Therefore for 2 weeks post surgery I wasn't weight bearing and movement in my knee was restricted totally. Today I had my stitches out and my first physio session. Physio told me I should have been 50% weight bearing straight away and that my leg brace should have been unlocked to allow some movement. So three conflicting pieces of advice. I am really unhappy.

I attended Spencer Ashford Hospital which was easy to find and was able to park nearby in the carpark using a Blue Badge displayed. Access was at ground level with no steps. Reception staff greeted me straight away and booked me in, provided necessary to complete my procedure. Toilets were easily accessed just off Reception and there is a water machine free. All staff including the medical team that I saw were engaging, jovial yet professional. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing with about three patients waiting. Mr Georgios Papadopoulos explained the procedure that I was undergoing in depth and was unrushed and very calm and inquired whether I had questions. His team were as fantastic ensuring that I was at ease throughout. At no point did I feel under pressure to leave after the procedure.

From the moment I arrived at reception until I left at the end of my assessment I was treated really well. Reception staff were really friendly and respectful and explained the paperwork to be completed and assured me that the wait would not be too long. I was called within 5 minutes by the first nurse who carried out all the necessary basic checks explaining everything really clearly. She then sent me back to the waiting area until the doctors were ready to do the final assessment again I only waited about 5 minutes before I was called to the examination room. The doctor explained really clearly what all the tests were for and what would happen when the procedure was to be done. A very pleasant experience from start to finish

Honestly, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly friendly and efficient, and the attention to detail really stood out. The clinic is thoughtfully designed to appeal to all ages — my 8 year old was quite apprehensive beforehand but ran straight in as soon as she spotted the Rubik’s cubes. The doctor was warm and approachable, and I was genuinely surprised to receive his report within just a few hours of the appointment. Met Dr Maciej Danilewicz a few months ago at his Leeds office. Within 1 hour I had answers what I’ve not had for 39 years. I would highly recommend his service. Wasted years going to doctors for help. What they don’t do at your Gp is send you for a psychiatric assessment. They throw tablets at you and send you on your way. For anyone struggling with mental health I think it’s very important before taking medication to have a full psychiatric evaluation. To make sure the medication your going to get is for your condition as you may have underlying issues not just depression like I had.
