There was a lot of waiting for drops to take effect as part of the treatment but the fact that everytime one of the staff passed they acknowledged you so you didn't feel you had been forgotten, a big plus in my book. There were many times when my DOB and name were checked. This made me feel secure as I think it made me feel that any mix up was very unlikely, another plus in my book. During the set up for the operation I was asked to look into the very bright light. Not a problem for the eye being operated on but keeping my other eye open as requested was difficult for me. Perhaps some form of shading for the other eye could be provided so that the natural instinct to close that eye could be eliminated and thus the natural effect of doing that affecting the eye being operated on. During the operation the surgeon needed to speak to me at times. I am hard of hearing and didn't have my hearing aids in. At times it was hard to hear the surgeon. The issue was worse when the "pump" noise was going. Some of this was the fact that she was a lady with a higher pitch voice, whereas I could easily hear the male voice in the room. I have the same issue hearing my wife for the same reason (I claim!). Perhaps it would be good if the surgeon established if there is a hearing problem and if there is, the voice volume could be raised. I realise that this is my problem but I cannot be unique in this case given the age profile of you patients. This visit was my second eye so I knew what was happening. However, thinking back to my first visit perhaps a slightly better introduction could be given to new patients as to what to expect with the intervals between patient staff interactions to help limit any anxiety they may feel. Also a bit more information regarding the after effects of the operation could help and anxiety at that time. I realise you will wince at this but I found a YouTube video of american origin that went through the after effects step by step and this relieved me as I realised what was happening to me was normal. Overall I was very pleased with the atitude of all the staff I met and the service they provided. Thank you very much.

Having been diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2020 and undergone pre surgery radiotherapy and chemotherapy through the NHS, due to COVID backlogs with NHS procedures, we decided to go privately for future treatment and surgery - one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Through Ian's skill and professionalism over the last 5 yrs of many surgical and personal consultations and referrals, I am still cancer free and living a relatively normal life with my family in retirement - something I feared, in the early days post diagnosis, I was unlikely to have. Ian has not only, literally, saved my life but also given me a quality of life that I could never of dreamed of after my devastating cancer news back in 2020. When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. I contacted Dr Kavita Verma to discuss my concerns over my prescription for perimenopause. I booked an appointment online at a time suitable for me after work and although I had my reservations, I was put at ease straight away. I talked through my symptoms and what I had been prescribed and I was advised the best way forward and also advised on some other options to help with other symptoms. I am being given a letter to give to my GP regarding what we have discussed and we are having a follow up call in 3 months. Switching to HRT feels like a big step to take, but I feel much about my decision now that I have talked it through. I felt like I was truly listened to and my concerns were heard.

After seeing several gynecologists, Mr Raza was at last the most reassuring and straight forward in explaining why having a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy would be the best way forward for me. I am now 6 weeks post op and I am feeling great. I am continuing to be amazed by how small my scar is (2cm!). I would highly recommend Mr Raza to any women doubting whether to have the operation. Every person is different of course but he is so knowledgeable, kind and professional. After not getting an appointment with our GP I decided to book an appointment late on in the afternoon when I became concerned with my child. I was able to book online with ease and had the appointment for 35 minutes later. The staff were welcoming and it wasn’t long in the waiting room before we were seen. Fiona made my child and myself feel at ease and did a thorough check. She even offered a follow up MOT check the next day which left me very reassured. This is the third time I’ve used the clinic and would recommend to anyone needing piece of mind when they can’t access their own GP unfortunately..

I first saw Dr Tim Lockie just over two years ago for a blood pressure issue and I was very satisfied with my treatment so I felt I should go back to Dr Lockie today after recent blood tests. Dr Lockie was excellent at explaining his understanding of my blood tests and the medication that he prescribed whilst listening to my concerns and adapting the medication to my lifestyle. IMO He is and excellent cardiologist.

My experience was very good but spoiled somewhat as the receptionist could not give me a date for the biopsy after I had my consultation with the Consultant. From what I could gather he did not have any slots open ! . That was on the 8th of January and I was told that someone would be in touch. It is now the 17th of January and I would like to know a date so that I can arrange as far as possible to be free then .
