Very chaotic administration after the initial consultation (errors and delays in invoicing, typos in the written opinion and delays in providing price information for surgery). I felt that the staff couldn't be bothered to get things moving and I had to keep chasing them. The package price quoted on the website for cataract surgery also turned out to be very misleading because the consultant wanted to charge an extra fee for fitting a toric lens, in addition to the extra cost of the lens itself. This pushed up the cost considerably. This extra, hidden, consultant's fee had not been made clear on the website and I felt that I had been induced into paying for a consultation on the back of misleading information about the cost of the surgery. The consultant may well have been an excellent surgeon (I don't know because I chose not to proceed) but these issues made me very uncomfortable and led me to lose complete confidence in the hospital. Going to Moorfields Private was a complete waste of time and money and the hospital ought to refund the consultation fee.

I am at Kingsbridge Hospital for partial knee replacement surgery. Surgical Ward 1 - 28/11/2025. I am writing to express my deepest and sincere thanks for the outstanding care I am receiving during my stay at Kingsbridge Hospital, Ballykelly. The professionalism and kindness I am receiving during my care is outstanding. Sarah, Kerry, Laura & Kim (night staff) from Ward 1 have all been wonderful, nothing was any trouble and I want to thank them for going above and beyond to ensure my well being. Unfortunately, I can’t remember all the names of the staff on ward 1 when I booked in, but again these staff were amazing (Keavsa/luke). I have felt very at ease during my stay and that has come across naturally from you all. You deserve recognition for all your hard work and care you have provided. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to all the staff involved in my care, including the doctors Mr Acton, Dr Brian OG McLary and their team who showed exceptional expertise. Not forgetting the physio. It was such a brilliant experience. I had treatment for my frozen shoulder and the staff from the receptionists to the consultant to the assistant to the nurses were absolutely brilliant. As a business owner, I strive for this type of customer service and your staff are the best representatives of perfection in their offering. I would like to especially thank the cosultant who carried out the treatment and his assistant (I fainted a few times so forgot their names) who were exceptional. The doctor was really rude and unprofessional about other members of staff to me. He also didn't check that I'd received appropriate amount of anaesthetic before doing the procedure leaving me in an unacceptable amount of pain for which he didn't apologise or check to see if I was ok. He also tried to do the procedure on the wrong eye and after checking the eye he could see where I'd had a previous procedure and said, "At least I can see you're not lying". I do not want this awful man near me ever again.

Just needed a referral for an overseas routine scan and I achieved what I needed. NHS in their wisdom won't provide scans for those with a strong family history indicator which is fine but utterly absurd not to provide a referral just because a CT machine (superior to most in the UK) is located overseas. These scans can be life savers and it's useful that this provider can fulfil the common sense role that the NHS abdicates responsibility on.

The empathy and diagnosis to me regarding the excision of my wright wrist ganglion were second to none. And the surgery performed by Mr Iain McLaughlin-Symon went without any problems or after effects, and I couldn’t praise his medical skills highly enough. There are the no remnants of my wrist ganglion whatsoever , and the slight scar after the surgery is barely visible now and will probably have disappeared entirely within about 6 months.
