About Miss Laura Harrison

Miss Harrison graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2009 and completed her initial surgical training in general surgery, plastic surgery, and intensive care medicine at Nottingham University Hospitals and Guy’s and St Thomas’ in London. She then joined the Oxford/Thames Valley training programme for ENT, where she undertook a prestigious regional fellowship in Otology. During this fellowship, she gained extensive experience in mastoid surgery, middle ear ossicular reconstruction, stapedotomy, and auditory implantation. Notably, she won the National Royal Society of Medicine Temporal Bone Dissection Competition during this time.
Towards the end of her training, Miss Harrison worked with the paediatric ENT team in Oxford, gaining valuable experience in treating paediatric ENT conditions. Alongside her clinical work, she has a strong interest in research and was awarded a distinction for her MSc in Otology and Audiology from the UCL Ear Institute.
Miss Harrison is the Educational Lead for the ENT department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Her specialist interests include otology and ear surgery, balance disorders, and paediatric ENT.

yes great she explained the issue and arranged a course of treatment and it was all sorted using non invasive methods.
The doctor was friendly and efficient and got the job done very professionally and I felt in competent hands and I left very relieved to be cured. My only frustration was that I wished to talk about the "how and why" the condition had come about and the doctor did not seem to wish to talk about it but just wanted to get on with the treatment that was booked.
