Mr David Knox provides professional, caring, and understanding patient interactions. He gives clear explanations for procedures and conditions. He excels in diagnosing and treating various shoulder and elbow issues, performing thorough assessments and ensuring patients feel informed and reassured about their care and next steps. His expertise extends to managing shoulder pain, various shoulder and elbow surgeries, and rotator cuff injuries.
Took the time to listen to my concerns, and then gave a very practical way forward for my diagnosis. Enabled the appointment to include diagnostic Xray, so was able to have a prompt diagnosis.
Mr Knox's softly-spoken manner and calming Scottish voice really put me at ease and explained the issue with my ulnar nerve and his preferred transposition surgery along with the pros and the cons of that versus ulnar release. He emphasised that, as a private patient, he was working for me. Something that really helped in trying to fit me in with the theatre availabilities at Droitwich Spa Hospital. He kept in touch via email and worked behind the scenes in order to get an early date. Even after the initial consultation, when I posed a number of questions via email regarding how bulky the dressing would be, the use of a sling, wearing an elbow brace etc he promptly replied giving me full answers to my questions which again put my mind at rest. On the day of the surgery he once again took me through the procedure in the same calming way, and at my follow-up appointment after 6 weeks he explained what he had done and the steps that signal a progressing recovery. He again said that if I felt that I needed a follow-up consultation I only had to contact him. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Mr Knox as my elbow surgeon of choice.
I went to see Mr Knox by recommendation for a second opinion regarding my shoulder problem. He was excellent and explained everything in detail about my problem. He was honest and told things to me “ as it is”…. He put me at ease & he treated me as an individual and not just another patient… I decided to accept him to help me and perform my surgery…. I certainly recommend him to others..
Mt Knox was a great doctor with a good sense of humour.
Very clear and concise approach to discussing ideas and next steps. Very supportive of my needs and ensuring the best possible outcome for me.
very Informative but explains in such a way that anyone without any medical knowledge would understand. extremely friendly and puts you at ease as soon as you sit down.
Charming, professional, unhurried, clear and helpful. I would unreservedly recommend Mr Knox.
I have seen Kr Knox twice with my shoulder problem. Mike and I were very impressed by his 'bedside manner', very good at putting me at ease, explained everything clearly, knowing that I have Parkinson's he took me down to meet the head of the MRI which helped enormously. Mr Knox was very patient and understanding he didn't make us feel as if he was in a hurry to move on to the next patient.
A very caring person and a great upper limb surgeon
