Really good appointment

Ms Thomas was very clear in her explanations of my condition and what was to come . I found her very reassuring in her manner. was to come

The appointment started on time, which I appreciated. However, unfortunately, I did not feel that the appointment provided any meaningful outcome. The questions had already been provided in advance by email, and during the appointment there were no tests, diagnosis, or clinical assessment beyond being informed that a referral letter would be issued. We had specifically mentioned the syndrome in advance, but it appeared that there was limited specialist expertise in this particular area. Given the time and effort involved in attending the clinic — including our child having to miss school and parents having to take time away from work — it would have been much more efficient if the same information and referral process could have been handled remotely by email or through an online consultation. I would suggest that, where there is no specialist assessment or examination required, patients should be offered the option of a remote consultation or correspondence-based referral. This would save valuable time for both families and the clinic while avoiding unnecessary disruption to children's education and parents' work commitments.

Very professional and made to feel at ease from the start

Ms Thomas has a very impressive CV and having met her, a personality and professional demeanour to match. I immediately felt more at ease with her than I did with the male urologist I had previously seen in London. She really engaged with me and listened attentively to everything I said and it was clear that she understood from first hand experience what I had been suffering. After a thorough and detailed assessment of my medical history she answered all my questions clearly. She explained all the treatment options available to me including their possible side effects and after discussion we both agreed that the vaccine would be the best one. She was able to supply me with the vaccine there and then and I have already started taking it with no apparent side effects. I was very glad to see Ms Thomas and I would have no hesitation in seeing her again.
