I have been under the care of Dr Alistair Ring since September 2024, and from my very first visit to The Royal Marsden, I knew I had made the right decision to begin chemotherapy there. During our initial consultation, Dr Ring immediately put me at ease, even though I had just received a difficult test result minutes before our meeting. He took the time to explain the Oncotype test for example and the treatment options available, making it clear that every step of my care would be centred around me. Dr Ring’s attention to detail and his encouragement to ask questions gave me great confidence and helped me feel empowered throughout my treatment. Following chemotherapy, I began medication that induced menopause, and thanks to his early guidance on potential side effects and how to manage them, I felt fully prepared. I also appreciate that he has been open to ongoing conversations about my treatment, including exploring HRT options, this openness means a great deal. The clinical staff at The Royal Marsden have been exceptional. They have consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at each follow-up. They remember small details and speak to me as a person, not just a patient, which makes every visit a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Ring and The Royal Marsden highly enough. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support I have received and continue to receive from the entire team.

I had my TAC stitch placed by the wonderful Mr Stelios at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in May 2021, following a self‑referral I made the previous December. From the very beginning, Mr Stelios was exceptional. He explained every aspect of the procedure, including all risks and next steps, with such clarity and compassion. During the surgery, he also removed some scarring from my uterus. What truly set him apart was how far he went beyond his formal responsibilities. He personally communicated with my IVF consultant at another hospital to discuss the potential risks of a twin pregnancy, ensuring that every decision was made with my safety in mind. Thanks to IVF, I became pregnant with my daughter in October 2022. Mr Stelios also fitted my occlusion stitch after my 12‑week scan and continued as my consultant throughout the pregnancy, right up to the successful delivery of my daughter in June 2026. He is an incredibly talented surgeon, a brilliant communicator, and genuinely an angel for anyone facing infertility challenges. If it weren’t for him, we would not have become parents.

I had LASIK surgery with Allon Barsam yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My vision feels unbelievably clear, almost like seeing through the eyes of a superhero. Allon guided me through every step of the procedure as it was happening, which made the entire experience feel calm, safe, and reassuring. The surgery was genuinely painless; there was one brief moment of discomfort that lasted no more than 10 seconds, and he calmly counted down the seconds so I knew exactly what to expect. My eyes stung a little afterwards, but after a short nap I woke up feeling completely fine. If you’re considering laser eye surgery, I can’t recommend it highly enough. The fertility suite was amazing. I have Jen for my treatments who is so wonderful. I’m feeling such a massive difference both physically and emotionally since I started treatment and it turns out I have a thyroid issue which may be the cause of everything. No problems with check in or with the meeting with Mr Krkovic. However the hospital is showing signs of neglect. The loo in the corridor outside Trinity Suite had no paper towels and and a completely overflowed waste bin. The coffee machine in Trinity was broken in October and is still broken in January. The former quite serious, the latter not serious but to be not fixed over so many months suggests neglect and that always raises the possibility that things I can't see are also neglected. SIte management needs shake-up.

I found Chris to be extremely professional, properly investigating the nature of the problem before demonstrating a range of strengthening exercises and some other remedial action that I could take. Chris is an ideal physio to be assigned as he's friendly, genuine and makes you feel at ease. My tennis elbow has significantly improved since following the course of action he recommended.

It was great to be able to see Mr Steven Lau at the Spencer, although a great shame that the NHS does not recognise crossover between private and public services. I had paid £250 to see Mr Lau for the same consultation as I had on 7th January, meaning that I am no further along the path of accessing the treatment I’ve waited 21 months for. I am grateful, however, that I’m accessing private services via the NHS

Waited about 20min for my appointment with consultant Then during my meeting with him He took a non urgent phone call my appointment that lasted approximately 10-15 mins He discharged me despite me saying I am getting lots of pain that disrupts my sleep and painkillers don’t help! I would have liked to have been referred to physio. But I was not offered it or anything except lift your arm forwards!
