I had four visits to Sarum Urology and New Hall Hospital, with my wife. The first visit was to see Mr Johnston, which was a very busy outpatient surgery. However once in front of Mr Johnston, he had the scans and reports from the NHS Hospital at Winchester, which had suggested that Salisbury and HoLEP would be necessary. We discussed the need for the operation, and he answered our questions. He explained that the normal wait would be extended because of holidays, but it was reasonable at 2-3 months. We then returned just before the operation for a pre-op assessment and advice with a nurse, which was to the Hospital itself, so very straightforward. For the operation I was treated in the New Hall Hospital, Salisbury, which had a very relaxed atmosphere. The room was excellent, and the food and teas etc straightforward. I saw Mr Brewin and the anaesthetist before the op. the weather was good so we could even have a walk around the grounds. in the afternons following the op. Post operation checks and tests with the ward sister gave excellent results, such that I was home within 3 days. I was advised on the test results to the removed material, and this was followed up 3 months later by Mr Brewin. No problems found at all.

Review for Dr. Hill and Kingsbridge North West Hospital I had a fantastic experience at Kingsbridge North West Hospital. Dr. Hill is a phenomenal surgeon — incredibly skilled, friendly, and easy to deal with. He immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. It’s clear that he’s not only respected by his patients but also by the staff; all the nurses spoke so highly of him, both personally and professionally. They even mentioned that they can always recognize his surgical work by the exceptional standard and care he provides. All of the staff were excellent. Sku checked me in — he was very friendly, professional, and efficient. The whole process ran smoothly, and I was in and out of the clinic within an hour. I highly recommend paying the bit extra to use Kingsbridge — it’s worth every penny for the level of care, professionalism, and peace of mind you receive.

I am delighted with the whole experience around my journey from initial referral to Mr. Nair through the HoLep procedure and stay at the London Bridge Hospital and follow-up. I have been treated with courtesy and kindness . The process of pre-surgery checks and appointments has been efficient, well-communicated and all points of contact both friendly and helpful. Mr. Nair has been kind, reassuring and very clear in his descriptions of the various procedures open to me and the pros and cons of each. My stay in hospital was a pleasant as these things can be. I was treated with care and kindness by everyone. The procedure appears to have gone very well and I am making a very good recovery. Exceeding all expectations. I am very grateful indeed.

Upon looking for a new clinic after previous treatment not working out, we heard an influencer mention Avenues and then looked on their website. We decided to have a chat with them and from the get go had a really personalised experience. I truly felt as though the doctor cares about the science of fertility and helping us achieve a better outcome rather than just pushing us through for more business. All of the staff are really professional but on a personal level and the facilities feel more luxury than clinical. Even if I didn’t have a better outcome with our fertility I would still recommend Avenues based on these reasons. It’s all the little things that really make the difference.

Mr Abou-Chedid is an exceptional medical professional. His handling of my prostatectomy procedure was outstanding. Firstly, his initial explanations as to what was involved were clear and helpful. Secondly, due to the high quality of his surgery my recovery post-op was trouble free—in a very short space of time I was continent and able to resume many of my everyday activities with confidence. Thirdly, his 8 week follow-up consultation was extremely helpful in allowing me to understand the extent of my cancer and the possible further steps that lie ahead for me. At every stage I have been in the best possible hands. I feel extremely lucky to have been in Mr Abou-Chedid’s care.

Following an informative appointment with Dr.Georgina Williams I opted to have an upper Blepharoplasty. The procedure went surprisingly quickly, I was comfortable throughout. My recovery was uneventful with excellent after care and after a day or two I was able to resume my normal daily activities. The appointment was for an electocardiogram and ECG. The technician was very helpful, pleasant and thorough, but I did find difficulty in lying on either side as I have lost weight and felt the pressure from the table. Very pleased that my wife was able to come in and view the procedure, so any questions asked she could help with if necessary as I have poor hearing. I was able to see Dr O'Sullivan with the results quickly and it was beneficial to us that our son-in-law Kevin was able to be present as well as my wife.

I have been honoured to meet such caring dedicated and honest staff at all levels. Given person centred approach and been looked after at every stage and if they were unable to provide a surgery or service I was treated with respect to ensure I fully understood the reasons. Also all risks are always given by all surgeons and staff. My health and wellbeing has always been a priority and I'm looking forward to having my up coming surgery at Elanic and to be able to finally get the results I always wanted.

It's a rollercoaster. It's not easy and you can expect to be up and down constantly within each day but you have to remember why you are here and embrace your chance to recover. Be where you are meant to be on time, be open minded but filter out issues that you not yours . Don't expect the timetable to always be correct. Food is not great and everyone's feelings, behaviours and attitudes fluctuate. Be honest with yourself and others. Learn to stay calm, be considerate and kind.
