My wife and I live in Nottinghamshire and I was referred urgently to Mr Antoniou at St Marks under the National Referral Scheme, as none of the Colorectal Consultants in the Midlands had experience of my problem or in treating it. We only waited a short time for the appointment and travelled down to London. Mr Antoniou called us into the consulting room personally and his warmth and demeanour immediately gave us total confidence in him and we knew I was in expert hands. He took time to explain the issue in detail and the proposed surgical procedure which we then discussed. Crucially, we were part of the discussion as opposed to be spoken at, which we were very grateful for. Two weeks later I was admitted to St Marks and went to Theatre where, again, Mr Antoniou was very pleasant and I felt at ease, despite the procedure I was about to undergo. When I awoke on the Ward post surgery, Mr Antoniou visited my wife and I and explained that all had gone well, again very reassuring. I have recently seen Mr Antoniou in Clinic for a 12 month check and, as ever, Mr Antoniou was friendly and welcoming and reassured us that all was well and that if I had future concerns, I should contact his secretary. I cannot commend or recommend Mr Antoniou highly enough for all aspects of the care and compassion he showed to my wife and I during a difficult time, especially being so far from home. We will be forever grateful.

We went today for our gender scan. The waiting room was lovely and was nice to have a drink and biscuit whilst waiting. We were early and went in not long after our appointment time. Once in the scan the two ladies were lovely and so friendly. Our baby was being difficult and didn’t want us to see what gender they were. They checked everything else for us and did all the measurements and checks which we were grateful for. The ladies did everything they could to not have our journey wasted. I first was sent for a wee, then a walk and a hot drink. Baby was still sitting cross legged whilst cuddling the cord so told us to go shopping and then come back. Once arriving back the lady told us to sit and wait and she’ll come get us once she could. Wasn’t waiting long and went back in. Finally was able to see our babies gender. The Ladies loved seeing our baby, laughed with us about their movements as they were active and couldn’t reassure us more that our baby was happy and healthy. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. We didn’t have the best first experience with NHS but this had made up for it. Will forever recommend this place to friends and family.

I am transformed! I came to see Mrs Langton Hewer because I had suddenly gone completely deaf in one ear. She listened to me when I explained my anxieties and then examined my ears. She diagnosed otis externa which was causing pain and there was water behind the wax causing deafness. She then very carefully removed wax and debris from my ear and my hearing was immediately restored. I am so grateful that this was diagnosed so expertly and then sorted out immediately. I would strongly recommend her for ear problems and for removal of ear wax. Thank you.

He didn’t even charge us and waived his fees because I am a doctor and this is very rare and not many people do that. I can’t thank him more than that and he is a real gentleman and a great surgeon.

On the day of the appointment I was taken in earlier, the MRI procedure was explained and completed with ease. I was told I would get my report in 24-48 hours (over the festive period) however received it the same day in the afternoon. I would highly recommend them. I would definitely use them again if needed.

A great experience for my ear wax removal, Dr Allamsetty & team explained throughout so I knew what was happening and what to expect. It can be strange when someone is rummaging about in your ears but when they are blocked getting them microsuctioned is one of the best things you can do, Professional throughout - would highly recommend.
