I made an appointment with Mr Navaratne at his Lindo Wing clinic in St Mary's hospital Paddington. I was looking for  a medical 'answer' to the pain I was in. I underwent a scan in an NHS hospital and was told that a hernia was ruled out which I accepted, but was very confused. Mr Navaratne diagnosed my Umbilical hernia and Diastasis recti. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received from this appointment all the way through treatment and my Lindo wing stay. I underwent a laparoscopic repair of the umbilical hernia with correction of my diastasis recti. I was in  exceptionally skilled and compassionate professional. I was extremely anxious in my first consultation and also going into surgery, but my surgeon addressed this with remarkable patience, reassurance, and empathy. He took an interest in why I was feeling nervous and took the time to explain every detail thoroughly, answered all my questions with clarity and confidence, and made sure I felt genuinely heard and supported. His calm, reassuring presence made a massive  difference and immediately put me at ease. From a medical standpoint, his expertise is outstanding. The procedure was performed with the highest level of precision and care, demonstrating deep knowledge, advanced technical skill, and meticulous attention to detail. My recovery has been highly supported by Mr Navaratne and his team. He is truly amazing BUT  for me what sets him is the combination of exceptional surgical ability and genuine human kindness. It is rare to find a surgeon who is not only technically brilliant but also so attentive, respectful, and compassionate toward their patients. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering abdominal surgery. If you are looking for a surgeon who is highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable, and truly cares about your wellbeing, you could not be in better hands.

I was informed in the email sent for my first appointment that the consultation would take approx one to one and a half hrs maybe more if I was having tests. I saw the consultant and had the tests, this took no more than 10-15 minutes. In my experience of having private consultation I don’t think this was a consultation, I was told someone will call me and give me details of the treatment, I was not given a time or day when this phone call would take place. I tried to ask questions about the treatment but was told they would explain all to me in the phone call. I called next day as I had other commitments the following days and weeks and may have missed their call. I was given the information about the treatment on the phone, I asked if I was paying for this phone call and was told that I would not be charged. I was charged and paid for the tests on the day, after the phone call I later received an invoice for the consultation of £300, so basically I was charged for a phone consultation as I don’t believe I got a consultation on the day that warranted this amount of money. I am really disappointed with this kind of service, I believe if I’m paying for a private consultation I should be given the time face to face so that I can ask questions and understand the treatment that I will be paying for. This was not NHS where you are only allocated a small amount of time, which is why I am so disappointed with this service and the costs which is unwarranted.

Mr. Kelleher was my chosen consultant for both of my pregnancies, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. During my first pregnancy, my waters broke unexpectedly at 36 weeks. Despite it being 4:00 AM, Mr. Kelleher took my call immediately and met me at the hospital just two hours later. His decisive recommendation to deliver early to avoid infection ensured that both my baby and I remained healthy and safe. ​When my second pregnancy became significantly more complex with a high risk of premature delivery, I knew I was in the best possible hands. Mr. Kelleher monitored me meticulously, coordinating additional specialist care with the premature delivery team at St Thomas'. Despite two hospitalizations, his expert guidance helped me reach full term. He delivered our healthy second baby with the same skill and care he showed the first time. Beyond his own practice, his referrals to other specialists—including an endocrinologist and physiotherapist—were outstanding. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for our family.

Dr Farah Rehman

Dr Rehman is exceptional! In this meeting, as in all the others, she demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the issues and her communication was excellent. She always brought us into the solution by helping us understand her prescription choices and the rationale behind them. Further, she paid attention to what we had to say about the symptoms etc. and importantly, also our state of mind and opinions. This was particularly reassuring. When she couldn’t give us exactly what we requested or suggested, she always helped we understand why and then provide more suitable alternatives. She came up with some treatment suggestions that we weren’t initially keen on but on further reflection, realise those may actually be perfect. In this meeting, as with all the others, she demonstrated, professionalism, knowledge understanding and empathy. And it’s perhaps her empathy and care that have always stood out the most, and given us that needed reassurance throughout the process.

Mr John Awad

Mr Awad has been absolutely amazing throughout my mother’s treatment. She’s been seeing him for around 4 months for a lower eyelid growth, which was both invasive and extremely painful. Mr Awad has been so warm, kind and professional at all times and has been so reassuring. My Mum had the growth removed and eyelid reconstruction on the 18th Dec by Mr Awad and the results are truly fabulous. Mum is already mostly pain free and the surgery is so discreet that it’s hardly noticeable. We cannot praise Mr Awad enough and we would also like to say the same for his team in surgery, recovery and clinic. They are all absolutely outstanding and we are so grateful to them all for the treatment Mum has received. We would very much appreciate it if you can pass on our thanks.

Dr Omar Ahmed was introduced to my case after a planned colonoscopy was performed. There was a complication with an abnormal polyp and he stepped in and took charge of the situation. He had to seek permission to perform the intricate surgery he wanted to perform and then succeed in performing it expertly. Dr Omar Ahmed wants to keep me in his care as a long term patient to ensure that any other abnormalities are dealt with as quickly, swiftly and in my opinion expertly as possible. I have never had this kind of treatment and care from any other doctor or consultant in the past and I can’t express how grateful and thankful I am that Dr Omar Ahmed treated me and wants to continue to treat me. My experience with Mr. David Lawrence may be described as nothing short of FIVE STAR PLUS. From the beginning, Mr. Lawrence has been hugely approachable, friendly and reassuring; he gave me all the information I wanted/needed to know about my surgery and engendered in me a feeling of complete confidence that I was definitely in the safest of hands. Shortly before my surgery, Mr. Lawrence came to see me and although I was very nervous by then, never having had an operation in my life, he managed to make me feel a little more at ease, it was just somehow reassuring to have those few words with him. Pleasant waiting area with self-service drinks available. Within an hour you are called and escorted into the preparation/recovery room where you are prepared for the operation and the procedure is explained including a visit from the surgeon to check if you have any questions. The operation takes place in the adjacent theatre where again efforts are made to keep you informed as to what’s happening and before you know it you are escorted back to your recovery area for water and a biscuit. Staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. Once thoroughly checked out you return to the waiting area to be collected by your escort who has already been called to say your are ready for collection. I was back home within 2 hours

EXCELLANT ☆☆☆☆☆ From the first consultation Mr Krupa put me at ease....incredibly professional ..helpful and informative making sure i fully understood my options. As a 57 year old i needed to have my 20 year old implants removed and replaced......not only were they encapsulated but too large for my body frame lso requiring an uplift ..with lots of info and another consultation decisions were made to replace and uplift...i fully trusted Mr Krupa to make the right decisions during surgery. My surgery was 3 weeks ago today and ive had my final check up and i cant thank Mr Krupa enough. The results are more than I could hope for ....Mr Krupa is an excellent surgeon Thankyou

Found Dr stinvassan and P.A Damien gave the very best service. Both were very helpful and explained things very clearly, taking the time to ensure I understood what they were talking about. My appointments with Dr Srinivasan were by video consultation, which I was very dubious about not being a tech person. However it worked out very well. Brilliant. His P.A Damien was always available by phone or e mail and always responded very promptly, no matter what day or time it was. I am so pleased with help and treatment they both have given me.😀😀

I had an appointment for a blood test. Unfortunately, despite 2 attempts the nurse was unable to extract any bloods. The nurse decided to find a colleague - I was delighted to see a face I recognised, who had conducted this procedure successfully earlier in the year. She was able to take the bloods from my arm skilfully first time, without causing any discomfort. Her calmness, warmth and humour quickly helped me to forget my previous experience. I thoroughly enjoyed staying in The Westminster Maternity Suite twice, after delivering my babies. The care, cleanliness, privacy, personal space and food are fantastic. I had really enjoyed staying there for the recovery after giving birth. The views of Big Ben both times were an amazing bonus for the night feeds of my newborn.
