I had worried previously about the need for this procedure, not knowing the risks and outcomes. However, the online information provided ahead of the procedure was detailed and comprehensive, so I knew exactly what to expect. I have known Mr Hemmerdinger for many years, and had confidence in his ability, so I was not at all worried on the day. He gave me so much time to reconsider and mentally prepare, that I worried about holding up his other patients! I really appreciated this. The procedure was not in the least daunting. It seemed to me like paintballing, with flashes of green light. There was no discomfort, apart from a headache from the pilocarpine drops administered in advance, and blurred vision for a while. I waited after the procedure for half an hour to allow time for recovery, after which the eye pressure had reduced. I was particularly reassured by access to the online advice again later, to double check what I should know, and to note and follow up any queries. My only query was promptly answered by email. In all, this was a very positive experience. I wait to learn whether the procedure was effective, but have no qualms now about repeating it in the future, if necessary.

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

Upon meeting my surgeon, Mr Davies, he provided clear and comprehensive information regarding my knee replacement surgery and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. The theatre, nursing, and ward staff were excellent from the moment I arrived for surgery through to my discharge, and I felt well cared for throughout my stay. I would highly recommend Mr Davies. The high standard of care I received meant that I felt completely at ease and had no hesitation in returning three months later to undergo my second knee replacement.

I have had blephaerospasm for several years requiring injections around my eyes and in my eyelids approximately 4 times per year. Dr Baig took over from my previous Doctor who had retired. Dr Baig has an easy well-informed manner than put me immediately at ease. Having injections directly into your eyelids requires enormous trust in the person applying them. I trust Dr Baig completely and feel totally safe. He is also someone who clearly keeps abreast of any developments in. his specialist field which reassures me that I am receiving the correct and most up-to-date treatment for my condition.

After the operation my eye took a few weeks to settle. That meant I got to experience rather more post-op care than might be usual. Not only was the level of care excellent, but I got to see all the same staff most visits. An efficient and friendly team. My urine flow is back to where it should be and without any loss of libido. Could not falter the staff so friendly and helpful. Doctor informed me exactly what was happening never felt any pain and the wound was stitched perfectly. Theatre staff had good conversations so I felt at ease. Was glad of refreshments while waiting. Only suggestion is maybe wear sunglasses while having procedure. Couldn’t fault the experience x

Very friendly receptionist, made me a cup of tea and chatted whilst i waited for my appointment. I felt seen and understood for the first time regarding my perimenopause. The Doctor suggested some things to change and things to try. Can recommend!

On 8 January 2026 I went for a follow-up after surgery by Mr Pringle in October 2024, fearing my vision had deteriorated over the past few months but Mr Pringle was able to demonstrate to me that my sight had actually improved slightly.
