Mr Kam Balaggan

My optician knew that I was going to do some research to decide who to go to for my cataract surgery and she recommended Mr Balaggan as she had been following his work for some years. After looking at his website I decided to make an appointment and met with Mr Balaggan, who is a lovely gentleman. After enquiring about my lifestyle and what I hoped to get out of the surgery he patiently went through the different options with me and I decided to go for the latest premium IOLs. Mr Balaggan has now performed the cataract surgery on both of my eyes and I have great distance vision and can also read the smallest print on ordnance survey maps. Having worn distance glasses/contact lenses since the age of 14 and reading glasses/lenses for the last 20 years it’s absolutely fantastic at nearly 63 to be able to pursue all of my hobbies without the need for glasses or contact lenses. I would absolutely recommend Mr Balaggan and his team.

I was very fortunate to meet my consultant Dr Gulati at the QEH Woolwich who carried out my first coronary angioplasty PCI which went off smoothly a month ago. I had another artery that needed the same procedure. The artery in question was severely blocked. I was delighted when Dr Gulati advised me that I was eligible to have ground breaking treatment at St Thomas Hospital that uses a new device. He clearly had my best interest at heart and I was very happy to give my consent to this treatment on trial. I had the procedure a week ago and I have healed up well and there have been no issues since. I have felt much more energy since having the treatment; the artery that was severely blocked is now working again well and I feel so much better. I think I hit the jackpot meeting Dr Gulati along with his team. I cannot praise him highly enough.

He explained everything clearly — realistic and direct, but also reassuring and kind. Thanks to his quick action, I was referred to the right specialist straight away and was seen very promptly. I really appreciated how he balanced urgency with empathy, making me feel supported throughout what could have been a very stressful time. At a later follow-up for an ongoing issue, he was again thorough and reassuring, providing a clear plan and putting me at ease. I’m very grateful for his care and would wholeheartedly recommend him.

I can’t recommend Perfect Balance enough. Over the years they’ve supported me through every stage of my recovery, from pre-surgery exercises and physio to laser treatment and massage, and then again after my knee surgery. Their communication is excellent. I always get helpful reminders about my exercises and upcoming appointments, and they’re very accommodating if I ever need to rearrange. The clinic is well-equipped with a great range of tools to support recovery, and the entire team is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely understanding of both the physical and mental challenges that come with injury. Perfect Balance has truly made a difference to my recovery and overall wellbeing.

Katie saw me straight away and gave me plenty of time for questions and discussion. She took a blood sample for checking my iron levels and also reviewed the recent results I had received from the NHS regarding cholesterol, testosterone and liver function. Katie gave me the relevant information from these tests and recorded the results. I felt very reassured by my visit and came away extremely satisfied.

The whole process that has been completed by Mr. Bhargava has been absolutely amazing. I have been incredibly happy with his continued support and expertees through this whole process. When I had the replastering completed I felt pain a few days later, Mr Bhargava went out of his way late on a Friday evening to ensure that the cast was put on correctly and that I would have no pain.
