Mr Wilson is not only a fantastic surgeon, he is a fantastic man. He is very understanding, empathic and very knowledgeable. Mr Wilson has been with me throughout a very difficult journey, I had a full term stillbirth back in 2022, Mr Wilson delivered my son. I truly believe if Mr Wilson hadn’t been the consultant on call that evening then my life would look completely different now. Mr Wilson then undertook bilateral salpingectomy surgery on me to investigate fertility problems. Again I was met with compassion and empathy. I then became pregnant with my rainbow baby, the pregnancy was very difficult mentally and Mr Wilson and his secretary continuously checked in on me to ensure I had the right support and care. Mr Wilson then delivered my baby again by c-section, I was asked for my input as to how I wanted the surgery to look in terms of music, talking, atmosphere etc. Mr Wilson ensured all my wishes were adhered to and he even managed to avoid further complications which were expected. Mr Wilson is truly the best consultant and surgeon and I wouldn’t trust my life in anyone else’s hands. Thank you Mr Wilson.

Mr Chin recently carried out my Septoplasty and Turbinate surgery at Ross Hall, Glasgow. From the initial consultation through to the procedure itself, he has been an absolute gentleman. He’s takes so much time to explain the condition and all the options and does so in such a friendly manner. He has also emailed on several occasions to assist with some queries and provide me with all the info I needed about my treatment and aftercare. Booked into the Nuffield Health Grosvenor Hospital , Chester through the NHS for a total hip replacement. Excellent communication as to the procedure, possible side effects etc. 1 night's stay following a pain free operation. I was looked after very well by friendly staff, leaving the Hospital the next day after being checked I was safe to do so. Minimal few days taking pain killers, was brilliant to be pain free from the original joint which was bone on bone, making walking very difficult and painful. I felt very lucky to have had the care and attention of a true professional!

Unfortunately, having burnt my fingers and subsequently acquired an infection, I rang the Centre at 10.00. am and asked for an urgent appointment to see a general practitioner. The receptionist offered me two appointments, one at 11.40 am and one at 1.00 pm. I took the earlier appointment and was seen within 10 minutes by Dr Porter. She was very efficient, warm and understanding. I was prescribed medication, which was supplied by the clinic's pharmacy and back in my office by midday. Overall the experience was excellent, with one frustrating aspect - initially I was told that my surgery would be at 15:00, and that I should attend the hospital at 13:00. A couple of days before the surgery, I was told that the surgery time had changed to 14:15 and I should attend at 12:15. I did so, and was then kept waiting for over an hour in the lobby as the room was not ready - giving the impression that it was unnecessary for us to have come early. A little frustrating, however the staff were incredibly friendly and kind.

My appointment with Dr Guy Haywood was very good. - Dr Haywood had read the briefing information I supplied about my condition. - Dr Haywood interviewed me to establish how my atrial fibrillation was affecting me. - Dr Haywood examined me and my ECG and then explained very clearly the available treatments and their limitations. I am now happy that I have a better understanding of my condition and the options open to me if my condition starts to impact my activities.

I found the reception at ground floor level the only weakness as I was left standing feeling a bit aimless when no one else was at the desk and also I reported someone had been sick in a toilet sink and I was just letting them know, whilst I did not want gratitude for reporting it some greater acknowledgement and action might have been expected. Anyway most importantly Dr Woodland receptionist area and staff on his floor were excellent as they were for Dr Power.
