Recently wanted an MOT to check that my heart was all fine due to having a HA at a young age. I had an ECG and a Stress Echogram procedure prior to my consultation with Mr Wilkinson. I requested to see Mr Wilkinson, as it was him who performed emergency stent procedures on me 14 years ago, and it was really great to see him again after all these years. Mr Wilkinson is top of his field and a very lovely guy. The nurse who performed my tests was really professional and friendly and very helpful. My consultation went very well and put my mind at ease. I went private as I wanted some Piece of mind and the NHS only deal with reactive situations (IE heart attack) and are not interested in supporting people years after treatments unless you have a serious issue. I can 100% recommend anyone looking to book private consultation / tests via Spite hospital. I only have one major gripe… they no longer, and for some time do not take a credit card payment (no longer use a card machine) the reasons were explained, as you can only do a BACS transfer now. I find this very unhelpful and this should be reinstated. If you have lots of spare cash around to complicate then this will not be a problem for you, but for people who use this service and it’s an extra expense, it’s more difficult. I would use Spite more if a credit card service was available.

I chose to book an appointment with Professor Owen Judd, after compiling my extensive research on ENT consultants in my area. I deemed that professor Owen Judd ticked all the boxes that I required and more. Professor Judd is widely recognised for his ability to manage complex and challenging cases with professionalism and clarity. He communicates diagnoses and treatment plans effectively, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured, and actively involved in their care. His calm manner and attention to detail contribute to consistently high standards of clinical safety and patient satisfaction. I have now had the opportunity to witness this professionalism firsthand. I felt very reassured and appreciative of his diagnosis and treatment suggestions. Overall, in my experience, Professor Owen Judd exemplifies excellence in consultant ENT practice, combining advanced clinical skill with academic contribution and compassionate patient care. I have no doubt therefore, that he would be just as exemplary in the discharge of his other specialty areas of his profession. Professor Judd comes highly recommended and I would like to reassure any potential future patients that they would be in very safe and capable hands.

I attended an appointment with my mum as she has been referred for cataract surgery. Upon arrival we had a warm friendly welcome. When mum was called in I explained to the lady that mum is profoundly deaf and she lip read's and asked if she could look at mum when talking to her. Naz was absolutely amazing, she spoke clearly and looked at my mum when speaking and explained everything to her. Both myself and my mum were really impressed as it's not easy for my mum when people don't understand her deafness. The lady we saw after Naz was good with mum too. With our experience yesterday it put our minds at rest that mum will be helped and understood when she goes back for surgery.

1)I found the signage to the main lifts and to Lyndhurst rooms confusing. There should be signage in the ground floor lift lobby saying which departments are on which floor. I have been complaining about this since 1971. 2)The excellent group portrait of the Royal Free consultants in about 1970 which used to be on the ground floor but has now been removed to the 12th Floor no longer has the key saying who they are. This is a digrace and an insult to the memory of a fine group of men (and about ten women), The key should be found and reinstated immediately.

I had a partial meniscotomy with Mr Gillani on 25th November 2025 at Raigmore hospital. The whole process on the day was outstanding clinical service. From the nurses on the ward, the physiotherapists, the anaesthetist and Mr Gillani himself. Everything was explained thoroughly and I received excellent care from everyone. I have also had a follow up appointment today with Mr Gillani. I have found him to be of the highest standards and he has always been available to explain the issues with my knee and provide reassurance.

Everything was fine, except that no one is able to provide the invoice for the procedure and it is not acceptable. I need the invoice to claim the money back from my insurance, I have called twice emailed and I am still waiting. I don't understand why it is so difficult to get this invoice. It is a legal requirement to provide an invoice while a payment is made and service delivered. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if the amount was not that big, but we have paid £2995.00 on Sunday, and no invoice was provided...

Visited morning of 26.01, had to wait a few minutes before being let into the building as arrived just before 9am. Although i was fully aware and ready to wait, everyone passing by including reception staff were kind and apologetic. Getting in, staff (reception, radiographer, doctor) were prompt, thorough, straightforward and quick. No time to scroll through phone as i moved from one stage to the next with ease. Highly recommend.

From arrival to leaving, staff were very friendly and helpful. I was treated respectfully and with care. I visited the facility twice this week and on the first occasion - late afternoon, there was no option for purchasing refreshments. On my second visit, which was earlier in the day, the facility to purchase drinks and snacks was open, and was very good.

The experience was very good. However it would be very helpful if X-Ray, MRIs, were confirmed with a text., including date and time of appointment. Also Outpatient reminders do not include the actual time of the appointment and with whom which again would be extremely helpful and may well reduce number of missed appointments.
