Hiba first treated me for quite a serious ankle injury. From my very first session, I immediately felt comfortable and supported by her warm and friendly presence. This injury was extremely hard for me, as it meant I could not play my favourite sport, football, which was really tough both physically and mentally. However, each week my session with Hiba became the highlight of my week. Not only is she an excellent physio who guided me through a quick, safe, and thorough recovery, but she also took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I always understood what we were working on. She never rushed me and always listened to how I was feeling, which made me feel truly cared for. On top of that, she has an amazing sense of humour, which really helped lift my spirits and made even the hardest rehab sessions enjoyable. After recovering from my ankle injury, I unfortunately injured my knee. Without hesitation, I knew I wanted Hiba to treat me again. Having already been through a tough recovery with her, I trusted her completely and felt reassured knowing I was in excellent hands throughout the process. During my knee rehab, she was just as supportive, knowledgeable, and encouraging, constantly motivating me to keep going even when it was challenging. Thanks to Hiba’s expertise, patience, and genuine care, I was able to regain my confidence and get back to playing football, the sport I love. Mr Jon Palmer carried out a complex replacement of my right knee followed three months later by a partial replacement of my left knee. The arrangements for both operations were straightforward and extremely efficient. My care in hospital was first class and both operations were a complete success. I was particularly impressed by the speed of my recovery and the resolution of all the symptoms. I am pain free and can do anything I could do several years ago including cycling, walking and even running despite being nearly 80 years old. Mr Palmer’s manner was exceptionally kind and professional and he dealt with one episode of unnecessary concern by me immediately at some inconvenience to himself and in the kindest and most understanding way possible. There cannot be a specialist knee surgeon better than Jon Palmer anywhere in the country. My rheumatologist was most insistent that Mr Palmer should be the one to do the surgery and that advice was invaluable.

I cannot praise the team at Chaucer Hospital highly enough following my recent right knee surgery. From the very start, the administrative staff made the admission process seamless and stress-free. My surgeon and anaesthetist were world-class, providing not only technical excellence but also the reassurance I needed heading into the procedure. Once on the ward, the care was exemplary; the ward doctors and nurses were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. I must also give a special mention to the kitchen staff, as the foods were excellent—the quality and variety of the meals far exceeded my expectations for hospital dining. It was a truly holistic care experience where every department worked in perfect harmony, and I felt valued and well-cared for every step of the way.

This is truly a very pleasant clinic. All staff put you at ease and treat you very well. I had an upper endoscopy performed by Dr Craig Mowat. He is a really patient, polite and conscientious professional man who listened to my concerns and talked me through them. He was very thorough and suggested how I could relive my symptoms mean time until my procedure, which was only a few weeks later. He explained exactly what would happen. The experience was very calm and I was put at ease. Dr Mowat told me of his findings immediately after the procedure and called me to discuss biopsy results a couple of weeks later. The whole experience was calm and quickly put my fears to rest. Thank you very much for lifting a huge weight off my mind - I can now get back to enjoying life!

At consultation, Professor Field provided a full explanation of my condition and what was needed - a full hip replacement. This was carried out a few weeks later and went very well. Awoke with only a little discomfort. Able to walk with crutches that afternoon. Professor Field was there to provide support after the operation and throughout. Stayed overnight and returned home the day after. Recovery has been steady since amd two wees later am now really starting to see the benefits which will hopefully continue. Professor Field was there amd his team has provided continuing support since returning home with follow up calls which have been very welcome and reassuring. Very pleased with the treatment and care.

Miss Nair and her colleagues at Queens Hospital were fantastic! I was treated with respect and dignity, was reassured and made to feel comfortable before the procedure. Miss Nair came to see me before my procedure and afterwards to explain the process and give aftercare advice. My recovery was without complications, my incisions have healed very well and 12 weeks on I have made a full recovery. At my recent 12 week review she reassured me that I need not have any further treatment and no abnormalities were found. My only suggestion is that there needs to be more cognizance around advice regarding surgical menopause and treatment but I understand that this is a nationwide issue.

Once Again Dr Chiraush Patel was outstandingly professional and kind. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment within an hour of calling. It cannot be overestimated how important it is to patients to have a well trained Doctor with exemplary bedside manner to help the patient to recovery. This is true of all the other GPs at One Stop, but I am lucky enough to see Dr Patel mostly. My standards are very high but Dr Patel exceeds them by miles every time I visit (I only visit sparingly). This is medicine at its very best and reminds me of when GPs were true family Dotors back before fundholding. I am fortunate indeed to have such excellent GPs. Thank you Dr Patel and OSD!

I loved all the staff that took care of me. I was very well looked after. My only small complaint was the lady that brought the food around kept leaving my door open and blocked half the TV and at one point my partner was helping me on the toilet with the bathroom door open and she walked in to ask if we wanted a cup of tea then left my room door open so anyone in the hall way could see me on the toilet, he was holding me up so couldn't go and close the door right away which made me feel a little bit conscious. Other than that the care staff were amazing surgeon and anaesthetist were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

I always find the receptionists at The Holly difficult to deal with. The booking in experience is poor as one often has to wait for ages whilst the receptionists are on the phone or chatting or apparently doing something on their computers. It is a pity as the doctors and nurses and other staff including the porters at The Holly are extremely good. The receptionists in both the outpatients area and the scan receptionists need better training and better management. I would say however that the GP area receptionists and the front desk receptionists are very nice and very helpful so I have no issues with them.

I had a rotator cuff tear repair 12 months ago. Operation was a complete success and I now have full movement in my shoulder joint. I followed Mr Hussain’s instructions to the letter and religiously did the exercises as instructed by the physiotherapist post op. It was tough at first but worth the pain and inconvenience having been restricted for several years. Mr Hussain managed my expectations, explained the options clearly and listened to my concerns. He told me it would take 12 months to be fully recovered and he was spot on! I d highly recommend him for any shoulder or knee surgery. Many thanks.

So I decided to see Ms Haque due to some gynae concerns. Within 10 days I had an ultrasound, Hysteroscopy, MRI and follow up appointment. Ms Haque was amazing throughout, very knowledgeable and very thorough in her investigations. She performed the hysterectomy herself with local anesthetic and took biopsies. The whole procedure was very efficient. In the follow up appointment she was very reassuring and explained the details of the reports with care and kindness. Dr Jacques is amazing. She is so friendly and makes you feel at ease straight away.
