There was a lot of waiting for drops to take effect as part of the treatment but the fact that everytime one of the staff passed they acknowledged you so you didn't feel you had been forgotten, a big plus in my book. There were many times when my DOB and name were checked. This made me feel secure as I think it made me feel that any mix up was very unlikely, another plus in my book. During the set up for the operation I was asked to look into the very bright light. Not a problem for the eye being operated on but keeping my other eye open as requested was difficult for me. Perhaps some form of shading for the other eye could be provided so that the natural instinct to close that eye could be eliminated and thus the natural effect of doing that affecting the eye being operated on. During the operation the surgeon needed to speak to me at times. I am hard of hearing and didn't have my hearing aids in. At times it was hard to hear the surgeon. The issue was worse when the "pump" noise was going. Some of this was the fact that she was a lady with a higher pitch voice, whereas I could easily hear the male voice in the room. I have the same issue hearing my wife for the same reason (I claim!). Perhaps it would be good if the surgeon established if there is a hearing problem and if there is, the voice volume could be raised. I realise that this is my problem but I cannot be unique in this case given the age profile of you patients. This visit was my second eye so I knew what was happening. However, thinking back to my first visit perhaps a slightly better introduction could be given to new patients as to what to expect with the intervals between patient staff interactions to help limit any anxiety they may feel. Also a bit more information regarding the after effects of the operation could help and anxiety at that time. I realise you will wince at this but I found a YouTube video of american origin that went through the after effects step by step and this relieved me as I realised what was happening to me was normal. Overall I was very pleased with the atitude of all the staff I met and the service they provided. Thank you very much.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Kasia. From the very first interaction, she was exceptionally kind, considerate, and empathetic. She spent nearly an hour with me on a call, which in itself was remarkable, especially compared with many private consultations where time can feel extremely limited. I never once felt rushed. What stood out most was the depth of her preparation and attention to detail. She had clearly reviewed my entire medical history thoroughly and in far more depth than any clinician I have seen previously. Her knowledge of oncology is outstanding, but what really impressed me was her ability to integrate this with a broader understanding of complex medical issues and explain everything clearly and logically. Her manner and tone were incredibly reassuring, and she demonstrated genuine sympathy and care throughout. She ensured no detail was overlooked and went above and beyond in liaising with other departments and specialists to make sure every aspect of my case was considered properly. For the first time in a long time, I felt that someone was truly in control of my care. She explained not only the current situation but also the possible future pathways, likelihoods, and risks in a way that finally made sense. Until this consultation, I had felt very much in the dark and extremely anxious due to conflicting or unclear information from other providers. After speaking with Dr Kasia, I felt informed, empowered, and significantly less anxious. I now feel completely reassured that I am in the best possible hands and that my care is being managed thoroughly and thoughtfully. I was also extremely impressed with her secretary, who is wonderfully responsive, accurate, and friendly. Queries were answered incredibly quickly, and I was able to speak to Dr Kasia on the very same day I raised the request, which was quite extraordinary. This has been, without question, the best medical experience I have ever had. I feel confident, supported, and optimistic moving forward, knowing I am under the care of such an outstanding doctor and team.

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. I have had various symptoms of perimenopause over the last year or so but it came to a head a few months ago when i had a severe panic attack and seemed to develop anxiety. I am finding this difficult to cope with and the GP didn't seem to help me. I met with Dr Colquhoun and she was lovely, provided me with alot of information and advice and took me and my symptoms seriously. As a result I now have a course of action and have had HRT prescribed and a coil fitted. Whilst this is all new to me, i am feeling very positive about this plan and hopeful that I can start to feel like myself again!

I had a breast reduction and uplift with Parkash Lohana in December 2025 and I am delighted with the results. All the staff here are so kind and friendly. Special shout out to Roslyn for how well she looked after me (and my very anxious mum!) on the day, Bernadette, Lisa, but everyone has been amazing. I'm still healing and had to come in for a same day appointment to have something checked and Belinda totally put me at ease and gave me really clear information. Cannot tell you about my visit as my reply to asking for an appointment is we don’t have and appointments and try calling on a Monday Tuesday or Thursday. Absolutely disgusting I’d be happy if given a date in a months time . You know you can never either get through on the phone or online to ge pain and with many other issues t an appointment. Spend a hour on hold to be told there are no appointments so I’m living in absolute pain and many other issues what a waste of time
