I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Dr James Noake at Pure Sports Medicine for his ongoing efforts in diagnosing a long-standing misdiagnosed knee injury following several unsuccessful procedures. Dr Noake identified relevant pathology on imaging that, unfortunately, had been missed by several other private consultants elsewhere. He then carefully administered a diagnostic injection, taking considerable time to ensure pinpoint precision through a cyst and a very small joint space. Dr Noake is clearly a very busy and sought-after clinician, yet he ensured I received an extensive first face-to-face consultation, with ample time in clinic to explore the problem thoroughly using ultrasound. He also went above and beyond by reviewing both previous and updated MRI scans, speaking to me at short notice via Zoom call during the festive period in order to review images and discuss options. I found this attention to detail and direct liaison to be exceptional as more than once I have had to wait 6-weeks between appointments at other private clinics or hospitals. Dr Noake is clearly dedicated to his craft and approaches his work with diligence, precision, and honesty. From the first point of contact, he inspired confidence through his willingness to answer questions, think critically beyond the obvious, and work collaboratively to reach informed decisions. I would highly recommend Dr Noake to anyone seeking help with complex, long-standing, or less common knee or nerve-related injuries.

Mr Naga Venkatesh Jayanthi

If you are looking for an exceptional bariatric surgeon I cannot recommend Mr Jayanthi highly enough. He performed a gastric bypass on myself and other types of surgeries on people I know, he proves each time to be skilled, expert and very knowledgeable. Mr jayanthi works with a hand picked equally skilled team which together has left me in no doubt how fortunate I am to have found him and his workforce. My surgery results are hugely successful and my recovery journey and outcomes have been just as explained in detail beforehand and as expected. My aftercare immediately following surgery was extraordinary, I was monitored in a small dedicated ward with specialist staff performing nursing checks and monitoring throughout the remainder of the day and over night until morning. I was never on my own during this period and felt great care and attention was provided as a priority. I have also received many follow up, monitoring and advice appointments since my surgery where Mr Jayanthi has always taken time to respond to any queries I had informedly and intelligently. I was well provided and cared for by all staff at the Springfield hospital. I will always however remain paticularly grateful to Mr Jayanthi for his surgical mastery and attention to detail. Whilst time waiting to see Mr Khan was very quick , if I'd arrived any later I wouldn't have completed my check in and, I arrived more than the recommended 15 mins early more staff on reception required plus I don't think self checking in on tablets helps , whilst fine for me others clearly needed help.After seeing Mr Khan I needed follow up appointments for a scan and,blood/urine tests . Having waited at 1 reception for 15 minutes area to make an appointment for the tests to be brusquely told to go and make my scan appointment as it "Would save time" .When I'm 2 away from the desk don't think it was about saving my time.Then wait at the radiology department reception for another 15 minutes as only 1 person on reception, told they'll need to check with the radiologist and, would call me today as yet they haven't. Return to main outpatient reception to book tests and, amazingly I've now got 6 people in front of me ...finally get to the desk to be told can't do blood test as no one there to do them .Now had there been but because of time wasted there no longer was ? Not impressed by The Spire on this occasion, Mr Khan yes , but everything else no .

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

The cataract in my right eye, which had been quite noticeable, was operated on in the second week of November this year. The less advanced cataract in the left eye was dealt with a fortnight later. My second eye is still settling in, but my surgeon, Mr Park, appears to have produced an excellent overall outcome for me. Having discussed the options with Mr Park, I chose to have a lens in my right (dominant) eye which enables me to see at distance, whilst for the left, I have one which is more suited to closer work. I may need reading glasses for really close work, but using my computer screen presents no problem. Asking questions was encouraged and all queries were dealt with clearly. The staff, and particularly the opthalmic technicians, obviously knew what they needed to do in support of the surgical procedures and all was handled very efficiently. Special thanks to Nurse Debbie who was looking after me, a somewhat anxious patient, before and after the two operations.

Professor Plaha is an incredibly rare human being. Within 24 hours of my MRI scan being sent to him, he took responsibility for my care. The subsequent week, he met with me and guided me through my condition with a clear prognosis and a plan for treatment. He referred me onwards to other neurologists who were able to adapt my medication accordingly to ensure pre-operative stability. Along with his expert team, he operated to resect my tumour in a highly sensitive location with precision and success. He followed up after surgery with histology results and I have recently met with him at GenesisCare in Oxford, which promptly took place after my 3 month post operative MRI scan. In clinic, and as always - he exuded true warmth, humility, professionalism and integrity. He is a true specialist in his field and I am gracious to be under his care. Where anyone is looking for a true expert in his field in difficult and challenging circumstances, you must go no further.

I came off my bicycle in London and after visiting West Middx A&E i was referred to Mr Quen Tang. I had fractured my shoulder ball joint in 3 places. I met with Mr Quen Tang a few days later and his explanation of my injuries and what they would try to do to fix it was very clear and concise. I was operated on the next day. He was going to try to screw it but he felt the bone was to thin and so would probably end up replacing the ball joint (this is what they did in the end). From start to finish i was very impressed with Mr Quen Tang and his team. Made me feel very at ease and now I'm on the road to recovery. Thank You !! I would certainly recommend him for shoulder injuries.

The Manor Hospital appeared clean, pleasant environment and staff were friendly. There is however one major issue - Car Parking. I nearly missed my appointment despite arriving 35 minutes prior. The car park does not appear adequate for the volume of patients and staff. A vehicle had been parked and blocked the car park, presumably because they thought were going to miss their appointment. This was resolved by creating a one way system which finally allowed me to, by luck, get a space. As an improvement it might be good if when booking, the booker tells the patient of possible alternative car parks in the area that they might have to use?

Mr Samer Mahmoud

I saw Mr Mahmoud on 31 December for a check-up and was seen quickly. However, I'd been asked to arrive 45 minutes early to have an x-ray which, on arrival, wasn't required! Mr Mahmoud is a kind and caring Consultant who really listens, but at the same time is always very professional. He explained how he'd carried out the hip operation to my daughter and I (which has been a huge success); showed before and after images on his screen, and watched me walk. I will be having the other hip replaced this year, and thankfully Mr Mahmoud will be carrying this out. He is an expert in his field and I would wholeheartedly recommend him.

I am a new patient at No.1 Hatfield and my recent visit was to the physioloy department in relation to an ankle problem. The physiologist was kind and easy to talk to and clearly explained the prolem I have to me and gave me a routine of exercises to perform with a follow up appointment to attend in a fortnght's time, this being part of a booked 6 week course. My daughter who came with me and I were very pleased with appointment experience and would recommend the hospital to anyone who might ask about it.

It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

I had pain in my ankle. It had become more painful over the past two years.I had broken my ankle in 1999.have had several operation and the ankle had been fused. What was needed for my treatment was investigated and a clear plan of what was going to take place was explained. The ankle was no longer fused and so Mr Anjum cause of action was to redo the fusion with a bone graft again. All went well and I followed all his instructions. Am just having some physical therapy to strengthen muscle.
