Appalling aftercare!! In as an overflow NHS patient. Had major surgery. Nurse refused the doctors requests in the morning. When discharged later that day the nurse still refused what the doctor asked for. The doctor had to be firm in saying what the nurse had to do as it was on the surgeons notes! The nurse reluctantly did it in the end but only half a job. The nurse left ouzing burn scars after removing dressing and didn't tell me until i put my clothes on and the material was catching on them. My husband got him back and he said "Yes i saw that!". Did nothing or aplogise. No empathy at all. I had 2 nurses come to my home that evening to sort out the burns and dressing on my surgical areas . Nightime was very little aftercare. Catheter was overflowing in the night. No one seemed to know what was going on in regards to your medical notes. Food was appalling dried up and burnt. No snack trolley inbetween meals. Awful experience. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Was I treated differently because I was in there last request as an overflow NHS patient. I was meant to be going to Birchington ward for my recovery. A complaint will be going in! The doctor said twice to have medication prescribed to the nurse and he would not do it so I came home with no painkillers and was told to go to a chemist after major surgery. Lack of care. No bedside manners.

Nurse Kerry has been absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly kind and compassionate and truly understands how emotional this journey can be. Her warmth and sensitivity have made such a difference to me throughout treatment. Even the reception team are lovely, always welcoming, organised and helpful. When you are attending frequently, that consistency and kindness really matters. Fertility treatment can be overwhelming, but Optifema have created an environment where you feel supported at every stage. I am so grateful to the whole team.

I attended tonight for a scan of my hands with Dr Patterson. On arrival I was welcomed at reception, checked in quickly and asked to take a seat in the waiting room. Breda then came out and called me to attend the consultation room, introductions were made, and Dr Patterson then performed my scan, he was professional, and provided information relevant to my condition. The whole consultation was a pleasure and demonstrated the significance difference a private company can make to a struggling NHS. Thankyou both again for such a positive experience.

I met Dr Adamczyk for a review following a surgery late last year. There was a lot of endometrial tissue which had blocked my ureter and required additional support from the urology department. Dr Adamczyk has always been very thorough in explaining what has been done during the surgery and the plan going forward. I was also recommended exercises to strengthen my pelvic muscles. I am so glad for the last surgery and removal of the endometrial tissue as this has really enhanced my quality of life and I feel more like myself again.

My experiences at the Lister hospital were generally positive. The facilities are clean and modern. The wait time was variable but generally ok. There wasn't much continuity in the nursing and sonography staff I saw which is a shame, and the quality was variable, but in general most of my experiences were with skilled and knowledgeable staff. On a few occasions I wasn't entirely confident in the nurse or sonographer treating me.

I had an excellent experience at St Anthony’s hospital. This was especially true on the day of my procedure. I was treated with care, compassion and professional by all involved. She managed to get me an appointment in three days which was important for my son. The hospital was very calm and all the staff were kind and friendly.
