I had no experience which would help me choose a consultant and had to use the CVs on the Spire website. I mainly chose Mr Wemyss-Holden because of his laparoscopic expertise. He was excellent. Since then, I've met a number of patients who also have a very high opinion of him. On meeting, he immediately put me at my ease, gave a confident diagnosis, explained my operation and assured me it would be successful. All of which he duly delivered. For the operation, he once again explained what would happen and returned afterwards to tell me of its success and what to expect going forward. The following week he gave me a check over and discharged me. Throughout, Mr Wemyss-Holden was very pleasant, while giving me a great deal of confidence that my treatment would be successful. He was open to questions and explained everything in detail.

Dr Laura takes her time to explain everything to me, and she even manages to teach me some medical stuff considering I am a medical student! She is always keen to involve my family and ensure I am fully supported. She has helped me navigate several gynaecology conditions that I have recently been investigated for and diagnosed with. She continues to follow up with me and ensure I am well looked after. She looks at me from head to toe and listens to each of my concerns, no matter what they are, with compassion. My experience at the hospital was excellent from start to finish. The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed, which certainly helped with rest and recovery, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the nursing team. The nurses were absolutely superb in every way — kind, attentive, professional, and endlessly patient. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no matter the time of day or how small the request. I was made to feel safe, cared for, and genuinely supported throughout my stay. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care I received and would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to others.

The receptionist and the nurse were lovely. However, the consultant made me feel like I wasn’t heard at all, I didn’t really get to talk about anything I wanted to talk about because every time I tried to I was cut off and told I would have to speak to someone else about that but I was confused as I was speaking about the issue I was there for. I also felt like I was penalised for my gp making a mistake and did feel very uncomfortable by the end of the consultation. Which made me quite sad as this is an issue I’ve been dealing with for a couple of years and I feel like I’m still getting no where with it.

I usually feel quite embarrassed and anxious about gynecology appointments, but my experience with Dr. Priyanka Patel and the staff was truly amazing. The receptionists were incredibly kind getting me a drink when I walked in. I have been feeling very poorly and it was a relief to book in on the same day and be seen. The doctor was so thorough in my consultation. 20 minutes is a good amount of time to have a proper discussion. Antibiotics were needed - the dr sent me a code to give to the chemist to get my prescription. All very easy and straightforward.

Appointment went as expected, Mr Khajuria has dealt with me before! He is polite and to the point. They are a very busy department and unfortunately on the day I went it was running quite late.
