I am so incredibly grateful to Mr Chalhoub and feel so fortunate to have recently been under his expert care. I only wish I had found him sooner. I had been struggling for over a year with symptoms and saw consultants locally, both NHS and privately. These consultations only served to make me more anxious as I was given conflicting advice, ultimately I was told my only option was to risk leaving things or have open surgery which they said was complicated due to my previous history. I was so worried and couldn’t decide what to do for the best. Then, after much research and reading many reviews, I found Mr Chalhoub in London and one phone call to Sarah, his amazing practice manager, changed everything. Sarah genuinely listened to me and after talking to her I felt encouraged to have a consultation with Tony. That consultation was incredible, for the first time in over a year I felt confidence and optimism. Tony listened to me very carefully, explained my options very clearly and within a few weeks I had had a total (minimally invasive) hysterectomy and felt fantastic. I can honestly say my recovery was remarkable - I felt completely like myself again so quickly and had to deliberately stop myself from doing too much as I felt so good. Not only is Tony is an exceptionally talented surgeon (I only have two tiny marks as evidence of the surgery!) he is also so kind, understanding and caring. I can genuinely say that from that very first phone call with Sarah, through surgery and the follow up calls, I have felt truly and comprehensively cared for and know I have been in the most expert of hands. I simply can’t recommend Mr Chalhoub and his team highly enough, my family and I will always be truly grateful.

Mr Darmarajah Veeramootoo

General Surgeon

Mr Veeramootoo was the surgeon for my procedure to fix an inguinal hernia. The procedure was carried out at Spire Clare Park Hospital in mid-December 2025. I met with Mr Veeramootoo for a consultation in October and then again on the morning of my procedure. During these meetings he clearly explained what would happen during the procedure and he answered all my questions. Mr Veeramootoo visited me once more, when I had recovered from the general anaesthetic and confirmed that the procedure had gone smoothly. I was able to return home the same day. In the first week following the procedure, I was fortunate in experiencing very little real pain and the general discomfort in the area of the procedure had largely gone by the end of the second week. I regained my mobility very quickly and was able to walk multiple miles without discomfort by the end of the first week. Now, four weeks after the procedure, I feel largely back to normal, my body providing only occasional reminders that I shouldn't be doing anything too strenuous. Overall, I have a very positive view of the care I received. I wish to extend my thanks to Mr. Veeramootoo and to all of the staff who were involved in my treatment and care.

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

I normally don’t write reviews, I’m someone who feels that if you do your job well, there is no need. However I have just been been signed off for my second eye cataract surgery and would like to thank all those involved in bringing this about. It was a long haul as my second eye was so bad after an accident back in my teens that a lens had to be made specially to correct my vision. It took about six weeks to make, but I was kept informed of progress regularly. I have nothing but praise for the people who saw me throughout. From the security guys, reception and medical team, to the optometrists, the surgeon and of course Hannah. As my point of contact, Hannah was there to answer my questions and kept me up to date with progress. Once again thanks one and all. In the nicest possible way, I hope I don’t see you again for a long, long time.

I had a hysterectomy with Dr David Hunter in mid-November through the Cross Border Directive after spending years stuck on HSE waiting lists. For so many years I was back and forth to my GP with symptoms from a large fibroid that was genuinely ruining my life. At 41, I was struggling to even walk up the stairs without feeling completely out of breath and exhausted. Dr Hunter was the first doctor I felt truly listened to me and offered real solutions. From the very first consultation right through to post-op care, he was incredibly kind, reassuring and professional. He's a gem of a man. I’m now two months post-op and I honestly feel amazing, like I’ve got my life back. I can’t recommend Dr Hunter highly enough, especially if you’re suffering with fibroids. He has made such a huge difference to my quality of life and I'm so hugely grateful.

Mr Ryan Higgin

Throughout this process, Mr Higgin has given me complete confidence towards a positive outcome. It has been eight weeks since I had my left hip replaced by Mr Higgin and his team, and I cannot believe the improvement in my strength, overall posture, and flexibility of movement down my left side. The lift to my self-esteem and wellbeing has also been incredible. I now see light where as before I was clouded by the pain and discomfort. I only have thanks and gratitude for what Mr Higgin has given me. I now have so much positivity when visualising the feeling I will experience once I have my right hip replaced as my livelihood as a gardener depended on the outcome I have described above and was also explained to me by Mr Higgin when we met in September...I cannot thank him enough for making this a reality.

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

My father has recently had both cataracts removed at Visio Health. He had been advised not to drive and was anxious about waiting for Surgery on the NHS. We contacted Visio and had an appointment the same week. Such lovely and welcoming staff who couldn’t have put him more at ease. He had both eyes done at the same time within 2 weeks. He was apprehensive due to having COPD and keeping still for the operation. However the staff took every step to reassure him and ensure he was comfortable. 4 weeks on and he is absolutely delighted with the results. We cannot thank Visio enough.

From the initial consultation Dr Wright explained my condition and the treatment options in the clearest terms. On the day of the procedure he explained very clearly what was going to happen from start to finish which allayed any stress I might have had and put me at ease before the operation. The procedure could not have gone any better from my perspective and post operation I had no pain or discomfort whatsoever. My wounds were tiny and healed within days. All of this I put down to Dr Wright's skill and expertise. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Mr Acharya performed both my hip replacement surgeries, the first in October 2024 and the second in November 2025, and I am absolutely delighted with the outcome. I am also a Stage 4 cancer sufferer and he went out of his way to liaise with Clatterbridge to ensure my treatment was managed around the surgeries. Everything was explained to me very clearly and I am now walking perfectly and, most importantly, pain free! Mr Acharya was easy to discuss my options with and I always felt able to ask him questions.

Visit was easy to book via Circlehealthgroup although reception seems to be over capacity compared to previous visits particularly with all patients having to queue and book in at main reception as opposed to the previous process of checking in at the Outpatients Area reception. Queue resulted in slightly late arrival to patient waiting area.
