I have had two appointments with Dr John O'Dwyer to date. On each occasion his compassionate, reassuring and attentive manner made me feel relaxed and heard - by listening carefully, asking perceptive questions to fully understand my situation, and by giving me ample time to think before I replied. In turn he responded to my questions with appropriate detail and language for me to fully appreciate the underlying causes of my symptoms. He had remembered me from my initial appointment so I could go straight into the second appointment without the need to recap previous information. Dr O’Dwyer sent his follow up letters in a timely manner which reflected an accurate, complete and articulate summary of our appointments; during the first visit I had asked him to document one of his specific statements, and he had remembered to do so. I have had many interactions with medically trained professionals through both my work as an auditor in clinical trials and of course as a patient, and it was refreshing to have been treated so well and provided with such high quality documentation.

Dr. Dipesh Mistry

Psychiatrist

Dr Mistry is a fantastic psychiatrist who has really gone above and beyond with me. Having had plenty of negative experiences with other clinicians in the past, Dr Mistry stands out as a doctor who is not only kind and compassionate, but also extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Dr Mistry has supported me through extreme grief, depressive episodes, and extremely heightened anxiety. He has a holistic approach that focuses on medication as part of a wider picture of other therapeutic interventions, and he always takes the time to explain his suggestions in detail, without instilling a feeling of any medical hierarchy. The only area Dr Mistry is less specialised in is neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, so it would be fantastic for him to gain further training in this as neurodivergent condition can be closely linked to mental health challenges. Bar this, I would not hesitate at all in recommending Dr Mistry to others. He has been an immense help to me, and I am very grateful for his kindness and expertise.

Cathedral Eye Clinic

All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

My first appointment was arranged within a week. After my appointment I was offered surgery in exactly one more week. Everything was great, lovely facilities, lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and constantly being offered coffee etc. On every occasion I was taken either on time or early. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained and what the best lenses for me would be, based on my history and interests. On the day of surgery, everything went fine and there was no pain whatsoever, merely a strange feeling as the surgeon did his stuff. Afterwards I was given advice re eye drops and aftercare and again all great. Everything was fine when I got home, merely discomfort and that soon passed. I had plenty of people checking and following up that all was well. Finally, I had a follow up visit after a few weeks and again everything was great and very professional and I was advised to see my optician and GP. Throughout my time, the service I received was first class.

Mum was almost blind wearing really thick glasses, and couldn't see at all without them. She had a few complications with her eyes but Dr Stewart and team endeavoured to give her as much sight back as possible, even if just slight. After her cataracts surgery on the 'good' eye, she is like a new woman. At nearly 78yrs old, mum doesn't need to wear her glasses for the first time since she was young. She can see clearer and further away. Close up is still difficult but we trust that after both eyes are done, and potentially glasses again with alot less prescription, she will be able to see so much better. She's had no pain or anything. The drs were brilliant and we can't thank them enough. This is the best thing to have happened to mum who was petrified to get her eyes done. She says he is the best Dr I have ever seen and I'm so happy.

St Giles Physiotherapy provided excellent care for my painful wrist, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing physiotherapy in Northampton. From the outset Georgia understood my issue which meant we could maximize the appointment time for hands-on treatment. She used a variety of different techniques during the session, which made the treatment feel thorough and targeted rather than one‑dimensional. I was also given clear follow-up advice and tailored exercises to continue at home, which has really helped my recovery between appointments. Everyone I dealt with at the clinic was caring, friendly and genuinely interested in helping me, which made the whole experience feel very supportive as well as professional.

Fitzrovia Suite

Overall, I had a good experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives were supportive, kind, and readily available, providing good care following my c section. I was particularly grateful for the overnight support. The team helped look after my baby, ensuring I was able to get much-needed sleep and rest, which was invaluable for my recovery. However, The handover process between midwives during shift changes could be better managed, as there were some gaps in communication between team members. Additionally, the catering was fairly average and quite rigid in terms of meal timings and available options, which could be more flexible.

Mr Jonathan Bhargava

I was warmly greeted by Mr Bhargava just 5min after the scheduled appointment time, which is excellent. The consultation was thorough and very professional, Mr Bhargava has a very good manner and following questioning and examination explained all the parameters relevant to my condition. Mr Bhargava then went on to detail treatment and advice in a concise but detailed way covering all aspects very well. I left feeling that the visit was well worthwhile and that I had been treated well in all aspects of the consolation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Bhargava to friends and colleagues.

The staff were nice and supportive but the doctor Ravi Ratnavel was unprofessional in both visits. He had no empathy towards me as his patient, didn’t show that he cared at all. He gets defensive when asked questions and eventually told me he lost fascination in my condition. He also said I’m obsessing for asking questions within my rights as a patient, especially as his inputs have not been considerate caring or consistent. The administration and governance committee decided that his behavior is aligned with quality care so I would not recommend this clinic to anyone

The surgeon I chose to do my breast augmentation surgery on December 8th 2025 was friendly and professional in consultation. He was honest about my expectations and explained everything start to finish on how to get the results I want considering I was asymetrical and had no breast tissue. Surgery wasnt bad at all and I am more than happy with the results (7 weeks post op) I had no infection, no side effects of the surgery, everything went perfectly and I healed quickly. My scars look so small and I am now holiday ready Thank you Dr Parkash Lohana for your hard work!

Mr Bassem Mettias

Mr Mettias and his assistant were very polite,, professional and listened to everything I had to say. After taking notes of my symptoms and then asking about my diet and personal habits , smoking and drinking etc, he then proceeded to examine me.. After examination he was happy that there were no signs of any health issues and I should not be concerned. I was then advised what I can do to alleviate the symptoms that occur. The visit today was a pleasant one and both Mr Mettias and his assistant couldn't have been more helpful. 10/10 service, thank you.

Dr Konrad Wronka

Dr Wronka performed a total right hip replacement on me in mid-November last year. I met him first at a consultation, then again on the morning of my surgery and also that afternoon after surgery. I also saw him for a follow-up appointment in January. He has a very kind professional manner and took time to explain the procedure itself as well as what to expect afterwards. He was direct and explained things clearly, answering my questions fully. The whole experience was superb and I would have no hesitation in recommending him. Excellent.

I attended a pre-op consultation this morning with Timothy Williams ahead of my Mid foot fusion and Bunion correction in March. He was very informative and explained everything in detail about my up and coming procedure. He outlined the risks of surgery and my 6 week healing process to myself and my Hubby. Mr Williams is an absolute Gentleman and has carried out a few procedures for me over the past 5 years. He certainly knows his stuff and ive recommend him to a few people too with foot issues.

From our first meeting, he was extremely kind and took the time to listen properly, showing a genuine understanding of the symptoms. He explained the options clearly and talked us through the pros and cons of treatment in a way that was easy to follow. We left feeling reassured, well supported, and confident that we were in very capable hands.

My experiences at the Lister hospital were generally positive. The facilities are clean and modern. The wait time was variable but generally ok. There wasn't much continuity in the nursing and sonography staff I saw which is a shame, and the quality was variable, but in general most of my experiences were with skilled and knowledgeable staff. On a few occasions I wasn't entirely confident in the nurse or sonographer treating me.

Consultant was very thorough and knowledgeable and we came away with a forward plan to cure the problem. On many visits to our GP we never got the right advice or treatment, and each GP visit was 8 weeks apart which meant needless suffering. Thanks to premier health we are now making progress.
