Exceptional Care at The Portland Hospital We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at The Portland Hospital for the exceptional care, kindness and support we received throughout our child’s spinal surgery and recovery. I am originally from the United States, so I know there are wonderful hospitals around the world. However, I was genuinely amazed by how outstanding The Portland Hospital was. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how clean, organised and welcoming the hospital was. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly caring, compassionate, professional and willing to go above and beyond to support our family during what was an extremely difficult and emotional time. The level of attention to detail was exceptional. We always felt listened to, supported and reassured, and we never felt that our concerns were dismissed or that we were simply another family passing through the hospital. Our child was treated with such genuine care, kindness and respect throughout every stage of the journey. The communication between the medical, nursing and support teams was also outstanding. Everyone worked together to ensure our child received the highest possible standard of care, and as parents, that gave us an enormous amount of reassurance. Following a six-hour operation, our child recovered far better than we could ever have imagined. The care provided at The Portland Hospital played such an important part in making one of the hardest and most frightening experiences we have faced as parents feel more manageable. We cannot recommend The Portland Hospital highly enough. In our experience, it is truly one of the best hospitals in London, and we would have complete confidence choosing The Portland Hospital again for the care of our children or ourselves. To every member of staff who cared for our child and supported us along the way: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I honestly cannot recommend Matthew highly enough. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, I felt so incredibly well cared for. Matthew has such a wonderful manner, he’s calm, kind, reassuring and exceptionally knowledgeable. Throughout my pregnancy, I always felt that he genuinely listened to me. I went into the birth trusting him completely, and I am so grateful that I did. We ended up needing an emergency c-section. However, even if with a change in our original plans, I can truly say that I had a really positive birth experience and felt so well supported. Matthew’s calmness, expertise and reassurance made us feel completely safe, and we knew without question that we were in the best possible hands. He explained what was happening, guided us through the decisions that needed to be made and made a difficult situation feel controlled and reassuring. Most importantly, he delivered our beautiful baby boy safely, and I will never be able to adequately express how grateful we are to him for that.

Daleswood has become our family practice now. I am still extremely loyal to the NHS, and my family and I have utilised its services for generations, mainly with excellent outcomes. I have also been a supplier/partner to the NHS for 20+ years, and my loyalty will not abate. But being able to spend quality time and develop a relationship with experienced clinicians, who know, can give some time and consider the whole picture without the encumbrance of often politically-led measures and bureaucracies, thereby allowing doctors to be doctors, is very important to me; not least of all because it was exactly that which kept me around in October last year. I now know too much about it to underestimate it's importance. So, for me, it is worth paying extra for that peace of mind. Today's appointment being no exception.

Courtney is an incredible physio. I have thoroughly felt so comfortable and safe in her care and on my journey back to full recovery. Nothing has felt rushed or too slow. I appreciate all the tailored treatment Courtney has provided during my entire rehab process with her as my knee did have unique swelling patterns post surgery which we adapted for. Her exercises prescribed per session were always bang-on what I needed to progress me to the next level, and ultimately her skill, patience and expertise is the reason I am now back to 100m sprinting, 5km park runs, tennis on holiday, skiing and padel just over a year after surgery. Thank you Courtney for getting this athlete back on track - if not in a much stronger place than before!

Arranging appointments with Dr. LeClercq is a smooth process. His PA is efficient, responds to messages in a timely manner, works with the client to find most suitable appointment slots and initiates any follow-ups. The practice is conveniently well located, waiting area and office are very comfortable, calming. Dr. LeClercq is prompt with appointments timing, I have not experienced any delays. I leave every session with a feeling of accomplishment and positive attitude. I felt that Dr. LeClercq was very professional, clear in all his explanations, in addressing client questions and concerns. He works very closely with the client, thorough assessments with proposed tailored solutions and way forward.

Mr Balachandar explained why a full knee replacement couldn't be done however gave another option of a knee cap replacement which would give me quality of life with my children given my age 45. Mr Balachandar explained the procedure to make sure I knew what would be happening. There was a visit pre and post op by Mr Balachandar which was good as sometimes another colleague is sent. I felt that even though there was a mishap with the kit which was out of Mr Balachandars control he still did his best to get me back in again as soon as possible and ensured everything was in place and ran smoothly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sharon is simply the best! Sharon is one of those people who instantly makes you feel completely at ease. She is so kind, warm and professional, and you can tell how much she genuinely cares about every person she treats. Her knowledge is incredible — she really knows her stuff and always takes the time to explain everything, answer questions and make sure you’re comfortable. She genuinely goes above and beyond, which is so rare to find. I trust Sharon completely with my skin and honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. 🤍 Thank you Sharon for always taking such amazing care of me!

Excellent. I initially came for a general MOT health check after having a nervous breakdown late last year and had struggled since then and some symptoms I was still having. Suzanne from looking at my health questionnaire form showed that I was showing signs of post-menopause symptoms and recommend HRT. I felt listened to and heard and she explained everything I needed to know about starting HRT. I’ve been on it nearly 3 months and came back for a review and I it has made such a difference to my life since being on it. I feel like my normal self.

Hospital had incorrect information and there were many issues which could and should have been avoided. I expected the whole process to run smoothly as I was paying for private care.. things I asked to be put in place when I spoke a few months ago had not been addressed. Not very compassionate. I felt they just wanted it over and done with to get on to next patient. Be prepared for a long wait for medication. I waited 2.5 hours . The consultant who performed the surgery was as professional and friendly as always.

Dr neirami was the first medical practitioner to listen to me about my long term back pain and to form an ongoing plan for me. He explained the pros and cons of the procedure. When I had relief from main pain it was unbelievable my shoulders lifted and my head was released from the scrunched up position and pain I had had for years. Doing physio now and recommending this Consultant where appropriate. Thank you thank you Dr Neirami for giving me some life back

Following a call to BUPA on the 26th Aug, I had my first consultation on the 27th Aug with all follow up tests being arranged for the 27th Aug and results to be discussed on the 2nd Sept. This was an exceptional level of service and very much appreciated. The BUPA representative transferred me directly to the booking receptionist of the One Heart Clinic and the whole process was extremely professional and efficient.

Alison did my neck ultra sound scan and showed me the scan details/findings on the screen. I liked that. I would like to have received a print out of the results on the day to pass over to my GP. I understand I have to wait for the written report in the post. That's o.k. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and I would attend this service again if I am required to do so. Thank you!

Bins should be emptied prior to new people entering the room. The touch free function also didn’t work, meaning I had to touch the bin, which wasn’t ideal after seeing it hadn’t been cleaned. In general, a call should follow to discuss results if anything comes out abnormal. I don’t expect a full length consultation, but it’s not easy to understand what certain things mean.

The team were great, Mariah took very good care of me and was very hospitable, I was quite fatigued after fasting and using moviprep. The male Hispanic member of team and female oriental woman were both amazing too and helped me feel comfortable during my Endoscopy (can't recall their name spent most time with Mariah). Dr Tion was great as always :)
