Excellent bedside manner with a true desire to get to the bottom of a problem. Free from the often occurring "I am so brilliant vibes" that I at times got from other consultants. Refreshing down to earth, approachable, very friendly. Most importantly, excellent listening skills, does not try to convenience you of a diagnosis after only hearing a quarter but appears to be thorough before making up his mind. Excellent communicator, who gets a patient fully involved, showing pictures to explain and explaining what he sees on a screen. I initially was a bit apprehensive thinking, hmmm has not got 3 decades of experience like some practitioners I saw in the past. On reflection, a good thing, still greatly motivated to make a difference and passionate about what he does. Deos not leave you feel watching the clock (he went over time, thank you) or rushed. Overall so far a positive experience (first consultation). I usually don't leave long feedbacks but if someone "goes the extra mile", so will I. Most importantly, if you had negative experiences before with consultants causing you pain/flare ups in the night and following day(s) due to handling you roughly during an examination, then give Dr Raiman a try. He very carefully moved my limbs with utmost consideration during the necessary examination, which helps building trust.

The nurses and support team were kind, attentive, and always willing to help, even with the smallest concerns. I had cataract surgery on both eyes on 4th December 2025 and l was discharged today, 12th January 2026. I'm so pleased to say l don't need to wear glasses or contact lenses any more. From start to finish, my experience at Freedom Vision Chelmsford was exceptionally good - and my end result is superb vision. - more than l could ever have hoped for. Colours are radiant and bright, and probably the biggest bonus for me is feeling so much more confident driving at night. After undergoing rigorous tests and scans , the actual procedure is very quick and painless. All the staff, without question were delightfully kind people and I'd like to thank them all individually, if only l knew their names. But in particular, l'd like to thank Nicola who guided me patiently and expertly throughout the whole procedure, and a massive thank you to Mr Hove , my surgeon, for being such a genius. If you are contemplating cataract surgery, l urge you to go for it - don't be scared - you won't regret it!

I had a really positive experience at The Harborne Hospital. I was greeted warmly on arrival and was actually seen before my appointment time, which was very much appreciated. My consultant Mr Leung truly listened to me and took the time to understand the full picture of how I’ve been feeling. He was extremely thorough, and for the first time in a long while, I left feeling hopeful — hopeful not only that my pain can be better managed, but also that I may finally get a clear diagnosis of what is actually happening to me. I really appreciated how carefully and thoughtfully everything was explored. Every member of staff I met was kind, professional, and supportive. The level of care and compassion shown throughout my visit was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service.

I was taken into a room that was obviously not cleaned after the last patient as their clothes were still there. My postop instructions were to stay warm. I was absolutely freezing after surgery because the nurses turned the heat down to suit another patient. I was on the end bed and no one came to check on me for ages so I couldn’t get another blanket. I told the nurses at least three times that I don’t eat dairy. I then had cow’s milk and dairy butter placed in front of me which is offensive. The nurses paid a lot of attention to the person next to me, but rarely checked on me. I felt overlooked. By this point, I just wanted to go home but again they prioritised other patients so I was late to leave.

I had a check up and cleaning from the dentist Sonia. What a marvellous professional and friendly person. I am extremely nervous at dentist but Sonoa went above a beyond to make me at easy. She transmitted me calm and I'd never ever thought to feel calm at the dentist. I only hope she will not leave as well. I am so tired of OSD turnover of staff it's very stressful for me getting used to someone and than change it. Sonia is precious if I was OSD boss I'd do whatever I can to keep this kind of empathetic professional with me. Doc Sonia thank you from the bottom of my heart to make me feel special. Mr Jonathan Miles

Mr.Miles performed partial knee replacements on both of my knees. Both procedures were faultless, and the persistent and severe pain that I had in each knee (apart from the expected post-operative swelling) disappeared straight away. I had been in so much pain prior to each surgery, and painkillers only took a slight edge off of the pain. I was unable to walk any distance, sleep properly and it was affecting my work. But Mr.Miles’ interventions literally gave me my life back. One of the partial replacements is 12 years old and the other is 10 years old - but I’m still pain free. Thank you Mr.Miles.

I have had various symptoms of perimenopause over the last year or so but it came to a head a few months ago when i had a severe panic attack and seemed to develop anxiety. I am finding this difficult to cope with and the GP didn't seem to help me. I met with Dr Colquhoun and she was lovely, provided me with alot of information and advice and took me and my symptoms seriously. As a result I now have a course of action and have had HRT prescribed and a coil fitted. Whilst this is all new to me, i am feeling very positive about this plan and hopeful that I can start to feel like myself again!

From the first appointment to my last Mr Jayanthi showed care and compassion and I finally felt like someone was listening and wanted to help resolve the issues I was having. I was scheduled in to have surgery a few weeks later and he made me feel so at ease and talked through the procedure and calmed my nerves before going to theatre. After the operation he came to make sure everything was ok and explained what the findings were after the op and made sure I was happy with everything before being discharged. The care I received was first class and would highly recommend Mr Jayanthi.

Dr Walsh was lovely and deeply reassuring, and from the outset she made my 16-year-old feel included and comfortable, without ever speaking over her. She is very approachable, answering every question patiently and professionally, and we particularly appreciated her holistic approach, taking time to consider all the different layers involved rather than focusing on symptoms alone. Her email communication has also been excellent: clear, responsive, and supportive, which has made the whole experience feel calm and well-coordinated.

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital

No problems with check in or with the meeting with Mr Krkovic. However the hospital is showing signs of neglect. The loo in the corridor outside Trinity Suite had no paper towels and and a completely overflowed waste bin. The coffee machine in Trinity was broken in October and is still broken in January. The former quite serious, the latter not serious but to be not fixed over so many months suggests neglect and that always raises the possibility that things I can't see are also neglected. SIte management needs shake-up.

Mr Talawadekar is such a expert in his job. He talked through my problem with Frozen Shoulder and went above and beyond to make sure I was given information about my diagnosis and how he could resolve it and aftercare. The process of having my shoulder done under anaesthetic was 10/10. He also took time to answer any questions I had and was very reassuring. He is very polite and has a happy attitude. He really is a credit to the NHS and I would recommend him to anybody who needs his help. Thank you.

Overall, a good experience. However, I felt that sometimes not enough time was spent explaining what would happen during diagnostic tests and treatments. For example, when I had the restech, nobody had told me I would have a tube up my nose for 24 hours and had to return it the next day. I found this out moments before it was fitted. This was not ideal as I regularly have in-person client meetings and had to cancel these.

Mr Macleod was friendly and professional in dealing with my Dupuytren's contracture. The surgery was successful and I am steadily regaining strength and flexibility in my hand My surgery was done under regional anaesthetic so I was awake during the procedure. No problems or pain. He even asked what music I would like to hear whilst the surgery was proceeding. Very happy with the treatment and outcome.
