Mum was almost blind wearing really thick glasses, and couldn't see at all without them. She had a few complications with her eyes but Dr Stewart and team endeavoured to give her as much sight back as possible, even if just slight. After her cataracts surgery on the 'good' eye, she is like a new woman. At nearly 78yrs old, mum doesn't need to wear her glasses for the first time since she was young. She can see clearer and further away. Close up is still difficult but we trust that after both eyes are done, and potentially glasses again with alot less prescription, she will be able to see so much better. She's had no pain or anything. The drs were brilliant and we can't thank them enough. This is the best thing to have happened to mum who was petrified to get her eyes done. She says he is the best Dr I have ever seen and I'm so happy.

I recently had surgery on my right hand middle finger to remove a blood vessel malformation, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and results I received from Dr Lawton. From the outset, he was incredibly calm and reassuring, which immediately put me at ease. The procedure was clearly explained and it was obvious that a great deal of thought and planning had gone into it. The surgery itself was meticulously performed, and my recovery has been excellent so far. Any questions I had were answered thoroughly, whether they felt silly or not, which made the whole experience even more reassuring. I felt completely confident throughout the entire process and very well looked after. I am extremely grateful for his skill, professionalism and manner, and would highly recommend him to anyone needing similar treatment.

Overall the experience was excellent, with one frustrating aspect - initially I was told that my surgery would be at 15:00, and that I should attend the hospital at 13:00. A couple of days before the surgery, I was told that the surgery time had changed to 14:15 and I should attend at 12:15. I did so, and was then kept waiting for over an hour in the lobby as the room was not ready - giving the impression that it was unnecessary for us to have come early. A little frustrating, however the staff were incredibly friendly and kind.

Due to a complication following a Trebeculectomy, I did have some anxiety as to whether or not I would have normal sight again. Dr. Zollet was always very professional answering my questions and taking the time to explain, in terms I could understand, what outcomes were possible and the treatment he proposed. I found him very reassuring and someone I could trust. The outcome of his treatment is that my sight has normalized and whilst my eye pressure was unduly high it is hoped it will reduce over the coming weeks

I had a two night inpatient stay recently after having fairly major surgery at The Woodthorpe Hospital. The individual and quality care I received from my Surgeon, Anaesthetist and Nursing staff made my experience a very positive one. The room was well equipped and the food was good, with every need catered for. Special thanks for making allowances and letting me stay until late in my room on day of discharge. I would definitely recommend this hospital for an overall positive experience.

Arriving for day surgery I was met with smiling faces and such kind and considerate people, their care and support were amazing and I can’t say thank you enough, after the surgery the nurses were so kind and caring and the surgeon and clinical team were awesome and explained every thing Bev Moxon my nurse was amazing and really took time to take care of me and make sure I was ok, their cup of sweet tea was amazing thank you Bev 😊

This was a visit for a small filling. I was apprehensive as usual at the thought of a dentist appointment, but i was made to feel at ease by the friendly staff.
