I was really pleased to become one of Mr Tai's patients, as he had been strongly recommended by my physiotherapist as the best person to do a replacement hip operation for me. He is ideal for me as I have a knee problem on the same leg, and as Mr Tai is a specialist for both knees and hips, we could openly discuss the most appropriate way of dealing with both problems, in a way I could understand. After only a week since the operation, I am already walking well (with sticks) and am looking forward to being so much better than I was before the operation. My operation was at Pinehill , Hitchin (a private hospital, but I am an NHS patient). The staff at the hospital were kind, helpful, supportive and attentive. This was my first experience at this facility and I was quite nervous. From the moment Mr Shergill came to meet my husband and myself he was so reassuring. He took the time to listen to me and provided me with everything I needed to know. He encouraged me to ask questions and I never felt that I was unable to ask him any questions. they were very considerate considering I was terrified as once before I had to press the button. I couldn’t go through with it and I had to go to an open scanner as they were about to place me through. I had to stop them. They gave me time to recompose and got me to look backwards and upwards and out through the exposed end and that made the whole experience different can’t tell you how relieved I am to get through that. I’m highly claustrophobic so yes, the experience was a positive one.

The New Vic --- now known as the 'BUPA New Victoria' --- is a smallish but excellent private hospital situated just off the A3 between Wimbledon and Kingston. It has recently been enlarged and its large Reception is now most welcoming. So far as I know, the rooms are all of the ground floor and overlook well-maintained gardens. Surgical procedures that my family and I have had at the New Vic over the last thirty years have all been trouble-free and successful.

I'm happy with Albion Dental, my only feedback would be that I have spoken to a few friends who also use Albion and none of us like having to pay £50 upfront for future appointments, I don't mind paying a deposit but £50 feels too much. As a result I know people that don't book 6 months in advance. Thanks

I had my treatment done at the spire hospital in Havant, the whole process was very good it was done in April 2025. I have been good heath since the only thing I have never had is feed back from the autopsy which I was told I would get.
