My experience at the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH was exceptional from start to finish. The room's were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and calm - exactly what you hope for during such an important emotional time. The food was genuinely excellent, with a great variety of choices, which made a real difference during recovery and long days on the ward. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely amazing. From the midwives and healthcare assistance to the catering team, every single person was kind, caring and professional. The midwives were extremely knowledgeable and always on hand to support and reassure, no matter the time of day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. What truly stood out was the continuity of care even after discharge. The midwives remained available to support me with breastfeeding and post cesarean aftercare, which was invaluable and made me feel supported well beyond my stay. I cannot fault the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH. The standard of care, compassion, and attention to detail where outstanding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering private maternity to care.

I have now been to all three locations (I had Hernia surgery 4 weeks ago at their Grosvenor Street hospital) and have been very impressed. The clinics are very clean and more akin to a hotel than a hospital. My issue was a bad back and painful sciatica. I was seen about 15 mins after my appointment time, but that's to be expected these days and it wasn't a problem. I was seen by Mr Montgomery who was very efficient and he gave my back a thorough examination. He said I needed an MRI and I was dreading having to wait days as I had really struggled to get to the clinic due to my injury. However, to my amazement, they managed to arrange for me to have the MRI there and then. I was looked after my Ibrahim who was first class. What a nice guy, very friendly and engaging. Made me very comfortable and talked me through the process. The MRI took about 20 mins I guess and then we made an appointment for me to speak to Mr Montgomery 2 days later on a video call to go through the results of the MRI. Overall, another very good experience.

Dr Ryan treated me with a lot of respect, although my symptoms were not life threatening, he listened to me and took my complaints seriously. When I had the surgery under his supervision, the procedure and recovery process and next steps were explained to me very clearly. I knew exactly what the surgeons were doing to me and what the benefit and also risks of having the surgery was. On a personal level I really appreciated how comfortable he made me feel throughout the entire process. Also today when I had my post op check up (months after the surgery, later than ideal, but not his fault at all!) he remembered me and seemed genuinely invested in me as a person which isn't something I was expecting, given how many patients he must see! If you are reading this Doctor Cheong then I wish you all the best! :)

Having been to several medical professionals in my life, I can honestly say the care provided by Dr Katie Cowie is exceptional. She has a great bedside manner, there is no judgement and she is, very knowledgable and understanding. Personably speaking, I would now always consult her on my journey through peri-menopause and beyond. She is well worth the cost for such excellent one to one care. I also see her for weight loss and again, for anyone contemplating medical assisted weight loss, I would always recommend going through someone like Dr Cowie. The assistance she provides with her vast knowledge on the subject is invaluable. I’m so grateful to have met her. and I recommend her to everyone I know going through any women’s health issues.

I spent hour and a quarter talking in detail about my symptoms as an adult and what I could remember from my childhood I was then told that whilst I reached the threshold for adult ADHD, I did not reach the threshold for childhood ADHD. I was told I did not have ADHD whilst showing some symptoms. We discussed for a further ten minutes about the fact that I had some difficulty understanding why I needed to reach the threshold for a neurodivergent condition as a child in order to receive some help as an adult with threshold symptoms. I accepted the findings with some disappointment that I was not going to get help but at least it was suggested that I return to my GP for a different referral

Mr A J Shah is a highly skilled and knowledgeable surgeon who carried out my inguinal hernia repair. The whole experience proved positive, commencing from initial consultation stage through to surgery and my final clinic appointment before being discharged into the care of my GP. He was professional and approachable and took time to explain the procedure in great detail whilst listening very carefully to my own concerns. I would highly recommend Mr A J Shah and his team for the expertise, compassion and excellent patient care I received throughout the process and was extremely pleased with the outcome of my surgery.

On entering the theatre I was greeted by a lovely member of staff (chaperone) she explained a brief description of what I was having done. Dr Dimitri explained the procedure in full and informed me each time he injected the vein, the nurse reassured me, held my hand as it was a little painful. The Dr then told me the aftercare should I be in pain or bleeding. All in all a great experience, it’s funny I always look forward to surgery as the doctors want to get me better. A great service. My appointment with Dr Guy Haywood was very good. - Dr Haywood had read the briefing information I supplied about my condition. - Dr Haywood interviewed me to establish how my atrial fibrillation was affecting me. - Dr Haywood examined me and my ECG and then explained very clearly the available treatments and their limitations. I am now happy that I have a better understanding of my condition and the options open to me if my condition starts to impact my activities.

If you are looking for a doctor who will treat your condition, but also explain everything in so much detail, to put you at ease, then Mr Elmiyeh is the right professional to go to! He takes his time to explain your condition, what you need to do about it, and reassures you completely. He won't be in a rush to get you out of the door! Also, he's very welcoming to anyone accompanying the patient, something I've not seen with other doctors!
