The session with Mr Johnson went very well, pleasant and explained everything very clearly and was prescribed some medication. Unfortunately since then it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with Nuffield Health Derby. I was unable to locate the prescribed medication from several different pharmacies, one being a national chain, as they all advised it was not in stock and that they were unable to order it. As I was unable to get through to his private secretary, I called Nuffield Health number. I have spent the last two weeks ringing Nuffield Health, explaining the issue. Each time very pleasant staff advised they would sort it, but each time they never had the courtesy to call me back and let me know what was happening. Eventually today, after a 30minute call, they managed to advise that the pharmacy at the Derby Hospital had the prescription available, but they insisted that they were unable to post it and that I had to come and collect it, 90minute round trip in the snow. Overall, a very poor service and makes you wonder what's the benefit of paying for health insurance.

I thought that I would drop you a note by way of some feedback. I came to your hospital yesterday for some “pre-med” bits, e.g. blood test, MRSA, ECG, BP, all in preparation for a procedure on my left thumb that is scheduled for 19th Feb with Chis James. I arrived about 15 minutes before the 12.30 appointment to be greeted by the quite delightful Margaret who promised to not to take too much blood!, so far so good, then off to see Aisha for the other bits to include the ECG. What a charming person Aisha was. I have to say that the whole process was quite remarkable, unlike many NHS environments where, its more that probable the appointment would run late, sometimes for very good reason. Certainly not so with your team at Ashford One. Super-efficient, smiley (esp. Margaret) a pleasure to visit, not often said when going to hospital. May I prevail on you to please pass on my grateful thanks to the two of them and of course all the “unseen” members of the team. All a credit to you.

I came off my bicycle in London and after visiting West Middx A&E i was referred to Mr Quen Tang. I had fractured my shoulder ball joint in 3 places. I met with Mr Quen Tang a few days later and his explanation of my injuries and what they would try to do to fix it was very clear and concise. I was operated on the next day. He was going to try to screw it but he felt the bone was to thin and so would probably end up replacing the ball joint (this is what they did in the end). From start to finish i was very impressed with Mr Quen Tang and his team. Made me feel very at ease and now I'm on the road to recovery. Thank You !! I would certainly recommend him for shoulder injuries.

Booked an appointment and was seen 2 days later. Dr Chopra was very friendly, took a case history and examined my skin condition. He made suggestions as to the cheapest course of action, which he personally wouldn't have financially benefitted from, which showed real integrity as a doctor. I went ahead with a biopsy, which was quickly and skilfully performed, and dissolving sutures were deliberately used as to save me from needing a return visit, thus reducing costs and time. Dr Chopra clearly cares not only about his patients but also seeks to provide medical attention in the most cost effective manner for his patients.

The Clinic was a little difficult to find but once there the staff were excellent and very efficient. My appointment was on time and the waiting area was warm and comfortable. The consultant was very helpful and explained everything and answered all my questions. I wasn’t rushed or meant to feel unimportant. The nurse was helpful and reassuring. There had been an administrative problem that I had mentioned to the lady on arrival and that was completely sorted out by the time I left which was extremely efficient. I will have no hesitation on returning for a procedure in the near future. An excellent clinic

On arrival, and in good time, there was a huge que at the reception desk with only one member of staff trying to deal with patients. We waiting a very long time even to be acknowledged so, not wanting to be late for our appointment, we made our own way to the area A. We were then approached another member of staff in Area A who was able to give us the forms we should have received at reception. Knowing that a significant number of patients were due in the recetion should have been fully staffed with an expeditious way in processing through.

I required emergency treatment to a broken tooth , From the initial call to the dental practice meet with a professional receptionist and an appointment made. The actual visit with dentist (Simon Robertson) was at is normal excellent standard by explaining what dental work was required to resolve the situation of which he completed explaining each task as he progressed with no drama or problems. The total experience was highly professional and would recommend this practice to anyone

Professor Keir Edward Lewis

Met with Professor Lewis at Sancta Maria, very helpful and he explained everything in detail and took his time. Did a thorough test on the lungs with a breathing machine and did an explanation on what is happening on the lungs. Professor Lewis is going to contact my local Consultant to get medication and hopefully slow the progression down. We are so glad to pay the money to get some answers would highly recommend.

Unfortunately I had to wait for 40 minutes to be seen. This was disappointing as I had changed the time of my appointment in response to a request from the Oaks. The staff were very pleasant as was Dr Tang. No problem there. The waiting area was too small and cramped.
