I waited over an hour to be seen for my pre admission appointment. After being admitted and been shown to my room I was left for 5 hours in a cold room without anyone checking on me or giving me information about when my operation would be. Staff only turned up when I called and was then able to get some water as I was then advised that my operation was being delayed for a few hours. Short staffed. Slow to respond to buzzer calls. Staff always seemed to be busy doing something else other than looking after patients. Quite noisy ward during the day with people’s loud voices/laughing. Outdated facilities, no overhead bed light so had to have the main big room lights on all the time, which I could not control. I was moved to a different room after my operation as the first one did not have sufficient heating. The en-suite bathrooms are very outdated. Very short shower hose. In my second room there were 2 Rentokill boxes in shower. 50% of staff were friendly. I had major abdominal surgery. My night nurse was very compassionate and took very good care of me for 2 nights. I was discharged with the insufficient amount of painkillers to take home and without a physio assessment or much information about what symptoms to look out for and how to help recovery. I had to contact my own GP to get enough painkillers. Once discharged I had to walk with my husband all the way to the car at the pickup parking as there was no porter or wheelchair available. I had given 1h notice and then let her know again 10minutes before my husband arrived to collect me.

I have been seeing Josh at Reflex 18 for the past two months as part of my recovery plan following a Total Knee Replacement in October 2025. During my initial consultation, Josh carefully established my prior level of fitness and worked with me to identify ambitious yet realistic rehabilitation goals. He designed a bespoke programme of graduating exercises which are further adapted during each subsequent appointment. I find it helpful that Josh demonstrates each exercise, fine tunes my ‘effort’ and also emails a visual guide, as a reminder, after each appointment. I believe that I have made far greater progress in terms of knee flexion, stamina and strength by visiting Reflex 18 than I ever would have done if I had attempted to pursue my own rehab using a book or online package. Josh has the ability to identify which muscles need to be worked upon in order to achieve a certain goal and this is something which I could have not done myself. The Reflex 18 rooms are immaculately clean and are well-equipped. I have found every staff member to be friendly and highly professional. There is never any pressure to book further appointments. Parking is plentiful and convenient.. I am very happy with the support which I have received from Reflex 18.

In Feb 2025,I had same day cataract surgery ( in 50 mins) ,with multi focal implants, at Shirley Oaks hospital. Both the surgeon and another colleague advised that there were no fundament problems with the outcome of the surgery. On 19th April Purley Specsavers advised that there was no stability at all with his left eye. After further refractions and other glasses-single lens and multi focal glasses- there was still no improvement in short distance vision and problems in driving at night time. On 20th October, Director of Specsavers, on 2/10/25 , advised that glasses could not improve beyond N8. I appointed Mr Harsum, 29/9/25, as an independent advisor and reports were written on 14/10/25 , 22/10/25 and 8/12/25. The reports concluded: still very significant astigmatism, despite a left Toric lens. Possible outcomes : refractive error, astigmatism, lens exchange or refund of costs. I am meeting Mr Harsum 8/1/26 to agree outcome required on the basis of NHS treatment . Mr Harsum has provided me with confidence that he has been able to potentially propose a lens refund solution and hence a return to 20/20 vision. I am very great full in having located his professional service, in S London.

Had an appointment for hip injections. I was seen on time. The consultant Mr Howell and radiologists Rachel and Natalie were all amazing. They were welcoming, friendly, professional and warm. They helped me to relax, feel comfortable, assured and confident. I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting many of the staff at St Hugh's and would recommend the hospital to anyone. The people are so genuine, lovely, human, friendly and professional. You are welcomed by the reception staff immediately upon arrival and the experience continues throughout. I appreciate that the staff work in a relatively calm setting, but they make the experience. This is a really well run hospital overseen by the director Ellen and her deputy Sarah. The consultants are of the highest quality. This is an amazing local resource which must be protected. The hospital undertake vital NHS work as well as private work. NHS pressures challenge the continued operation of St Hugh's, which would be a tragedy. Thanks and best wishes to everyone! Xx

I got to the hospital early due to the known parking issues. I spent 20 mins going around the hospital car parks without success. I made receptionists aware that I was there and had parking issues. I was advised that I couldn’t use your car park as I am an NHS patient. I don’t appreciate 2 tier management of patient's needs. I was informed that I could park directly outside on yellow lines without fear of receiving a penalty. I was worried while in Spencer’s as I wasn’t totally happy with where I was parked. As I was early, I was seen 15 mins before my appointment. I was made to understand that because I had difficulty uploading my medication the nurse had to complete this task. Staff were friendly and clearly experienced. I was given a reserved date.

I have suffered with mild to medium hearing impairment in my left ear majority if not most of my life. An unsuccessful partial ossiculoplasty performed by a different surgeon resulted in losing almost all hearing in my left ear and greatly affecting my confidence and quality of life. Following investigations, Dr Kasbekar performed a successful total ossiculoplasty and my hearing improved significantly, with the impacted ear now nearly as good as the unaffected one. If not for Dr Kasbekar, I would have likely had to wear a hearing aid for the rest of my life. It’s not an exaggeration to say he has given back my confidence both in my professional and personal life.

The doctors and nurses were incredibly supportive, professional, and kind, which made a stressful situation much easier to cope with. The entire process, from arranging the initial consultation to scheduling the procedure, was handled very efficiently, with minimal waiting time. The medical staff took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and well cared for throughout the day. The environment was calm, clean, and reassuring, and I truly felt that I was in very safe hands. I am very grateful for the care and compassion shown by the whole team.

We first went 4 years ago with our first son and had 4 scans. We are pregnant again and just had our final scan which would be our 3rd/4th this pregnancy and every time we go the ladies are just a pleasure. So kind, so thorough and just lovely lovely people. We had Lisa today asked she is so nice, patient and a lovely person. There is usually a young girl at reception who is lovely but today there was a different lady who possibly was having a bad day as she was not welcoming not friendly. Possibly didn’t want to be at work and she had the impression she couldn’t be bothered. But it wouldn’t stop me from going as everyone else is always great

My appointment with Dr Desi was on time and extremely thorough. She was so compassionate, caring and kind throughout the appointment, explaining everything each step of the way and being extremely thorough through the scan and explaining our NIPT options. It’s the best consulting experience I’ve had throughout my pregnancy. Reception staff were extremely helpful too. I would really recommend LPC to any expecting couples.
