I have had a great experience and time at Delamere, my therapist and mentor have both been fantastic, as well as majority of the other staff, and I have connect with a lot of staff and made life long friends with other patients. This was definitely the place for me, and would not have considered anywhere else. My only real criticism is on the owner Martin, I think his general attitude towards his patients/customers is not acceptable, he is quite rude and unapproachable, and does not fit the character or leader he is made up to me. The second thing I would like to make not of is general communication between staff, and follow up, is not the best but I suppose this can be improved. Finally, I think the management of a conflict situation and resolution is not the best. Management should listen to all parties stories and not judge based on what the patient is in Delamere for. Other than that a fantastic experience all around, which has definitely fixed me and put me back on track. So for that thank you for the life changing experience.

Phoned was very pleased got an appointment very very quickly was very pleased .great friendly staff x surgeon was very nice man was pleased am now on the NHS waiting list to at least get one of my hips replaced.i have worked all my life since I’ve been 16 yr of age my left hip is bone on bone .i have been throu cancer but because am on morphine to help kill pain I had to come off my cancer tablets can’t sleep at night my physio says my hip is the worst he has ever seen . I wd even take a cancellation. I can’t hardly walk far sit to cook can’t do much house work . I have went from someone that used to walk 6 miles a day going to work every day x night to having to retire from my work loved I worked for Musgrave centra x they have been very gd to me . Am on blood pressure tablets but everytime they take my blood pressure am ok . Anyway thank u for yr time I wd just love to get my life back to normal . Thank u 🙏

We travelled from Dublin to get an Operation done for our little man thats just turned 3. It was an extremely draining travel experience and especially tough on our son. We were feeling tired, emotional and worried, But as soon as we arrived at Kingsbridge North West Hospital we were welcomed by the friendly amazing staff and looked after with the best of care, My Partner, Baby and I. Their compassion and professionalism are deeply appreciated. We are truely grateful for the kindness and exceptional care you have shown our son and us too. Your love for your patients is truly commendable. We cant thank Dr Greg McBride enough, what an amazing Dr. can’t thank you enough for keeping our son good health. Your expertise and compassion has been the best. You all made a massive impact on each of us. I cant thank you all enough.

I am leaving Abbington House tomorrow. After my time spent here at Abbington I am leaving knowing that there is a more peaceful way that I can live my life sober. My one-one professional therapist here has been “Cos”! Cos is an incredible therapist with so much personal knowledge of recovery..helping me daily to understand all so that I leave with the tools I need. All the staff here show empathy…care & kindness.. to all, they certainly do know their stuff! So if you are reading my review here & you or someone else needs the support of Abbington House ? I can 100% recommend this to you with confidence! Thanking all the lovely staff at Abbington for helping me on my way to a new life of sobriety!

Directions to the car park should be better, ie if you put Candover Clinic in the sat nav you can't get to the patient car park for MRI without going out and sitting in traffic to get around the other side of the hospital. It could also be clearer where MRI is on the map (eg circled). It was quite confusing whether I was in the right place as was given NHS forms (is a shared NHS facility). They also told me off for not reading a leaflet but I didn't get a leaflet. The lady who completed the procedure was excellent though. Before and afterwards I felt a bit more alone and confused than at other private procedures.

Was booked for a diagnostic procedure at the Weymouth Street Hospital. 5 days before the operation, the surgeon said he needed additional tests which couldn't be completed in time. The appointment was cancelled: 80% refund due. Four emails asking for a refund: no response. One formal complaint letter by recorded delivery: no response. One "letter before court action" (initiating what used to be the small claims court procedure): payment! Payment was "accidentally" rounded down to the nearest hundred pounds. Yet another email and I finally received the full refund five weeks after the cancellation.

I had a prolapsed disc which was clear from the MRI. I recognise the reluctance to subject the patient to surgery but in retrospect it seems that the decision, based on guidance, to have a cortisone injection was never going to be the correct one in the long term. I regret the time and money wasted on that decision and should have "bit the bullet" and opted for surgery immediately.
