He fast-tracked seeing us, was calm, reassuring, and immediately inspired confidence. He listened carefully — not just to the clinical facts, but to us as people — and set out a clear, structured plan at a time when everything felt overwhelming. His manner with both me and my partner was outstanding; thoughtful, compassionate, and quietly authoritative. My cancer was aggressive and required surgery to ensure a cure. Throughout the process, Professor Vasdev was completely transparent without ever being alarmist. He fought hard to preserve both my continence and sexual function, and went the extra mile during surgery to maintain the nerve structures wherever safely possible. That level of care and skill has made an enormous difference to my recovery and quality of life. What truly set him apart was the way he managed the entire journey end-to-end. He coordinated all referrals — oncology, fertility, and beyond — and delivered what can only be described as a fully managed service. He recognised that we were in shock and removed complexity at every step, allowing us to focus on getting through it. Without underplaying the seriousness of having cancer, the speed, efficiency, and excellence of my treatment — and the rapidity of my recovery — has made the whole experience feel almost like a non-event. I know how fortunate I am that this was caught early and handled so exceptionally well. We will always be deeply grateful to Professor Nikhil Vasdev. His skill, leadership, and humanity have had a profound impact on our lives, and we remain indebted to him.

My family and I have known many clinicians over the years who I would describe as brilliant or compassionate or even outstanding, but Dr Gohil stands above all others. When you hear the terrible words like "rare" "cancer" and "incurable" for the person you love most, over the phone from a cold brutal NHS doctor, the world collapses. I count our blessings everyday that Dr Gohil was recommend to me by a dear friend and I would urge anyone to do what I did, call his outstanding secretary and book an appointment. Dr Gohil has outstanding experience of helping people with all rare blood cancers, he has outstanding clinicical and research experience, outstanding knowledge of clinical trials, outstanding abilities to manage complex multi disciplinary cancers by finding and working with colleagues of equil excellence and outstanding patience answering a million questions. However, above all he is a beyond outstanding as a man of huge compassion, genuine kindness, tireless work, deep empathy and the ability to give hope when you think all hope is lost. My other half and I have worked in hospital's all our lives and I can honestly say I have not known a clinician who was so humble of their talents, who praised and accredited their whole team as much, who fought for so hard for their patients and who would personally call, email and contact patients at all times just to check on how they were feeling or if they had any concerns. Dr Gohil is a man for whom no length or trouble was too much to achieve the best for his patients. I now know that incurable does not mean untreatable, rare does not mean there are no experts, and cancer does not mean no hope. This gentleman is a blessing to the world, he is a true healer and a beautiful soul.

I was recently and specifically referred by my optician to Saphire Eye Care and Prof. Luff to have treatment on my cataracts. Over recent years I have suffered from oedema in my retina which was now relatively stable and I wanted to receive the highest level of treatment so as to avoid any impact on my retina and a return to the sight problems that I had previously. I understood that there was potential for this to occur with normal cataract surgery. From the time my first appointment was made by Jennie, the medical secretary, through to the cataract procedures I was supported and cared for at every stage. Prof. Luff was very approachable, explained everything, and dvised me on the type of lens suitable for my eyes. The cataract procedure only took about 15 to 20 minutes, was totally painless and as it turned out was nothing to be worried about at all. My resulting eyesight is extremely good and any potential impact on my retina was completely avoided. I can only give Saphire Eye Care and Prof. Luff the highest praise and recommendation. If anyone is concerned about having treatment on.their eyes, eyesight is so important that I would say don't leave it too late and Prof. Luff and Saphire Eye Care is the first port of call that I would recommend.

I’ve had several consultations with Dr MacPherson over the past 7 years as my knees have deteriorated due to osteoarthritis. This year, we tried cortisone with limited effect so he escalated my half knee replacements. Pre-op, operative and post operative were always on time, very clear and I was made fully aware of risks as well as the benefits. Having had right knee pain since 2018, I was immediately aware, post anaesthetic, that my right knee was ‘sorted’ and pain free - it is absolutely amazing. The left has improved greatly over the 5 weeks and they are both incredible. 5 weeks and 1 day after having 2 half replacements, I played 28 holes of golf with no issues at all and no drop in my own performance. I am astounded as is my Dr wife. I never dreamt my operation could be so successful and I put this totally down to my surgeon who told me and my wife, that the operation had gone very very well. I could not have asked for more from Mr Macpherson, absolutely World class.

I had both lenses replaced with the Galaxy Multifocal including Toric lenses. I was nervous about eye surgery, let alone with both eyes. However, there was no need. The operation was quick and painless and the recovery fine-very straightforward. Right from the initial consultation, the whole process was very smooth. Explanations were always clear and I had plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The whole team, John, the nurses at Tetbury and the admin team were always very reassuring and friendly and if I had any queries, they always got back to me very quickly and efficiently. I have just had my 4 week follow up consultation and my near, mid and distance vision are all good. I haven't needed any glasses since the operation and that includes reading and a very screen based job! I'm very glad I had the operation. My sight is so much better. After looking at his bio, I was so impressed with what he has achieved and the work that he does I arranged to have a consultation via zoom. From the outset I felt his warmth and compassion, I immediately knew I was in very good hands. Mr Griffiths fully explained what I needed firsthand and then going forward with surgery, if that was what I decided to do. He welcomed any further questions or concerns I had afterwards by email which were always followed up immediately. I did go ahead with the surgery to have a permanent fix to my issue of which I am so thankful for. Mr Griffiths did an outstanding job, and I would have no hesitation at all recommending him.

My recent experience and the appointment with Dr Sawh before were excellent. From Charlotte to the Ella Mae Barnes location the service was genuine and authentic with a focus on customer service and problem solving. Dr Sawh and his team are always timely but my broader experience at Spire is not always so good. Charlotte is a very good professional. As was the receptionist at the Ella Barnes location. I find the service at the Spire Hospital inconsistent. There are generally long delays at appointments and I get the feeling the service from some staff are not as authentic as mentioned above. With this broader service It fees like people are operating to a script and running through a process.

Parking my car and finding the places I needed to be was a nightmare. I was afvised to leave the car in car park C which did not exist and it took me 30mins to realise it was the public car park. My instructions talked about east and west wings which no longer exist - i think maybe its now zones but did not help that C25 was not the same as ward it was ward 23. I had to talk my friend in when she came to collect me. I know the hospital is unders change but I constantly met peope who were also toally lost. The apt letter was sent by someone from Dorchestrer who obviously had no Idea that his instructions no longer applied

I met Dr David Annan today for a neck scan, I have to say I have never met a doctor who is so caring and understanding in my whole life He made me feel so comfortable as I was nervous, he kept asking if I had any questions and answered all my questions, he even asked my son if he wanted to ask anything which was such a nice gesture, Doctors like Dr David Annan really make you feel there are nice and caring people still out there, his happy personality really shines through Keep up the good work Dr David Annan and all the best for the future If in the future I ever need to see a Dr for my neck will only be you

Professional, caring and respectful staff. I have already completed a survey which pointed out two negatives amongst an otherwise perfect experience. I was not offered any pain relief the first night after my op, which I understand I should have asked for. However it is known that everyone experiences pain at this point so would have thought pain relief would have been automatic. Also, while I was having a procedure the nurse put a 'No Entry' sign on my door but a member of the catering staff knocked and entered. I did call to come in but presumed it was a nurse.

I have been attending Cathedral Eye Clinic since May, when Mr Niraj Mandal carried out cataract surgery on my left eye. A follow-up operation to stitch the iris was also successful. Although I still experience some blurring at distance, tests show 6/6 vision, and this is due to be corrected with laser treatment in the New Year. I am very pleased with the way the consultations and overall service have been carried out. The care has been professional and reassuring throughout, and I am looking forward to improved distance vision in 2026

I was “plagued” with psoriasis on my elbows and forearms for the last year or so (I am a 60 year old male). I never suffered from psoriasis before. It was getting me down and I wouldn’t wear short sleeves. I made an appointment with Dr Rosy and she examined me and gave me a prescription and hey presto my psoriasis has “gone” after 4 weeks usage of prescribed spray. As per Dr Rosy it will come back but I should use spray as required when psoriasis returns. I am absolutely 100% confident now of wearing short sleeves. I am so thankful 🙏

Dio offered an excellent service. He executed a series of tests on me on my first visit and articulated his thinking in clear and meticulous manner. On receiving my MRI results (Grade 4a stress fracture of the lateral tibia) he called me as soon as he could to recommend the next steps, despite not feeling very well himself. Dio put me on an aggressive recovery programme but 2 months on and I have almost full bone resolution which has allowed me to start physio programme. I'm very appreciative for his input throughout my recovery.

Hip area operated on healed well with no problems, joint pain gone just muscular healing and building up, which is up to me now. On both occasions and since I started seeing him 2 years ago he and Sophie are friendly and work quickly, efficiently and calmly. Despite the long appointments I feel confident that the work will not too uncomfortable.
