I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

This doctor (Mahesh) has completely transformed life with chronic constipation. The appointment started with a really thorough, calm discussion of a long history of symptoms, and for the first time everything felt properly listened to and joined up. The examination was focused and not excessive, just what was needed to work out the next steps. The colonoscopy was explained clearly beforehand, carried out gently, and felt very safe throughout, with clear results and what they meant. Afterwards, a newer laxative was recommended alongside very practical dietary changes and pre‑/probiotic advice, all tailored to day‑to‑day routines rather than some leaflets. Since then, bowel habits have improved dramatically, pain and bloating are so much better, and normal life feels possible again. It genuinely feels like someone finally understood the problem and offered a long‑term plan rather than a quick fix, and I have a huge gratitude for the care and expertise given.

I was recently under Jess’ care for my first pregnancy and birth of my son and we felt so safe and supported working with her. Jess has a personal approach with her patients and took the time to get to know myself and my husband, which made us feel very comfortable around her during appointments and the birth. Jess made herself available whenever I needed a question answered or an appointment, she was always contactable via whatsapp and answered any questions (big or small) that I had! There were parts of my birth that did not go to plan (which were outside of our control) and Jess took the time during and after the birth to discuss and debrief on the birth in detail, which were so helpful to me being able to process and understand. I was very grateful to be able to be under the care of Jess - I look forward to being under her care again for future pregnancies and highly recommend her.

Pleasant waiting area with self-service drinks available. Within an hour you are called and escorted into the preparation/recovery room where you are prepared for the operation and the procedure is explained including a visit from the surgeon to check if you have any questions. The operation takes place in the adjacent theatre where again efforts are made to keep you informed as to what’s happening and before you know it you are escorted back to your recovery area for water and a biscuit. Staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. Once thoroughly checked out you return to the waiting area to be collected by your escort who has already been called to say your are ready for collection. I was back home within 2 hours

We were lucky enough to get into the appointment before our allotted time. Mr Mohammad seemed like a very nice person, but I felt very rushed, I wasn’t shown the MRI scan, The situation was not explained to us in depth, just offered options of an injection or surgery involving “metal work” which scared me somewhat. So I chose the injection as seemed a less scary choice to start with. We were told this would be put forward, then we left , all taking about five minutes, not really very reassuring. Hopefully I may get another chance for someone to explain what the operation with the “ metal work” would involve. So I would feel more confident with what needs to be done

Ami Shukla is the first gynaecologist who listened to me and understood my concerns and worries. I left feeling reassured that my issues will now be looked at properly. Before seeing Ms Shukla I was feeling really lost I found GP's don't really understand womens health. I was previously put on antidepressants and was told that I was feeling a certain type of way because this was all in my head and this was put down to mental health when in realitiy my HRT needed looking at. The HRT was not quite right which is why I booked into see Ami Shukla who has now put my mind at ease and is helping me with my women issues. I highly recommend Ms Shukla to everyone.

Miss Umarji is a caring and professional orthopaedic surgeon . She was determined to make my symptoms better . Having consulted with another orthopefiac surgeon in march when my symptoms first started were there was no treatment suggested , Miss Umarji sent me to do MRI and RXay on the day and alíviate my symptoms by providing a steroid injection . I am very pleased she saw how important my hands were for my daily living and was not going to leave them to deteriorate any further . The rest, is my responsibility to continue with the hand exercises and antiinflamatorio diet . I highly recommend Miss Umarji .

I have been Sophie’s client for the last 6 months. In that time I have felt my relationship with food and my confidence in myself grow. She has helped me change the beliefs I hold about food and helped me on the road to recovery from anorexia. As an autistic person, I have struggled in the past with connecting with health professionals but Sophie adapts the sessions to meet my needs. She always sends notes after our sessions which is useful in making sure I keep track of what I should be doing.

I cannot fault my experience with Mr Neffendorf and his team on the day, all played their part to the full. My only negative comment is how disappointing it was that the procedure was cancelled three times, and at very short notice - whilst it was explained the postponements were due to emergencies, this does not help the mental wellbeing of those that have psychologically built themselves up for what is a traumatic operation.

Marris Medical were great from start to end. Booking the appointment was easy, with friendly staff. On the day of the appointment I was taken in earlier, the MRI procedure was explained and completed with ease. I was told I would get my report in 24-48 hours (over the festive period) however received it the same day in the afternoon. I would highly recommend them. I would definitely use them again if needed.

Dr Simon gave me a thorough explanation of my condition and any risks associated with it. He carried out all required tests and called to chat through my blood test results and to make any recommendations. Through Dr Simon’s clear explanations I’m now far more reassured about the condition, and how to deal with future occurrences. Many thanks.

Prompt, on time. Comfortable waiting area, convenient parking. Filling out the details on paper seemed a bit inefficient, couldn’t this be done online before the appointment and have paper as a back up? The on site pharmacy did not stock the prescribed medication, which was a little disappointing.
