We spent months searching around the world for a specialist who could truly help him. The moment we met Dr. Glass, we knew we were finally in the right hands. His expertise, calm approach and depth of knowledge were immediately clear. After eight months of misdiagnosis, he understood exactly what our son was dealing with and how to correct it. For the first time, we finally felt safe and hopeful. Beyond his world-class skill, his kindness, reassurance and guidance made us feel completely supported throughout the entire process. What we never expected was just how extraordinary the result would be. Our son’s nose has been beautifully and expertly transformed - the scar is tiny and healing incredibly well, and the change has been life-changing for him and for us. We truly still can’t believe how amazing the outcome is, and we honestly can’t stop smiling. After such a challenging and emotional year, Dr. Glass gave us the most positive experience we could have hoped for. We cannot thank him enough and would recommend him without hesitation. To us, he will always be a hero.

Had a very warm welcoming at Abbington house, staff and peers were very nice. Room was nice, quite overwhelming to start with, with it being my first time at rehab. I then started to feel more comfortable with the help of the staff and my peers, putting me out of my comfort zone probably was the best thing they could of done otherwise I wouldn’t of been so open. Staff very accommodating, my therapist was very empathetic, I got on with her very well, opened up slowly but eventually we got there. I still feel I have stuff to work on, my co dependency and self love but I know that will come in time, from outside sources, just think they should not of mentioned that I would be getting DBT therapy whilst I was here as that was one of the selling points to me coming to Abbington house. The only other down side was prior to coming in I was told I would have at least one, one to one a week. But that did not happen for the the first 3 weeks, so felt a bit let down, so did my parents which they then raised there concerned to Mikey, who was quick to come up with 2 options to compensate this, which I thought was very good.

The team at Newmedica from the receptionists to the optometrists, nurses and Mr Anjari my consultant were so welcoming and made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. I was quite anxious about having cataract surgery, but the team made me feel relaxed each time I visited. Mr Anjari was very reassuring and spent time helping me decide which lenses were right for me. The surgery was quick, and painless - so efficient., I had no need to worry about going back for the second one. The aftercare was excellent too with a phone check up and another thorough appointment. Mr Anjari helped me choose Galaxy lenses … I can’t believe how clearly I can see near and far ! It is nothing short of miraculous after living in a blur for years! I am now able to read the smallest print yet look across a field and identify birds in the trees. I’ll be forever thankful to Mr Anjari and his team for the transformation of my sight.

Overall this was a good experience, I had a combined assessment via NHS right to choose. I liked that I was seen in person for this. The wait times were much longer than initially expected however I believe there was a huge influx of patients at the same time that I was referred. The assessments themselves were good with understanding and knowledgeable assessors. The report which I have received is in depth although I did think there may be a professionals insight into the early developmental questionnaire whereas it is just copied into the report. I had a few queries about the report which I am waiting on the answer to and also have asked for it to be sent to my GP which hasn't been done yet but again, this is the lacking wait times. Apart from the wait times, the service was great and I am thankful for their help. I think my referral was made in March 2025 and I am writing this review in December 2025.

Recent visit was ok. My Nurses could have been better organised. On arrival no one was there to greet me despite being told to be there at 7.30 am I wasn’t told no one could come up and wait with you or be present after my procedure. The room for pre theatre and after theatre was far too small for 3 beds to be in it. It was also flat too hot in the room making me feel worse.. Unprepared for someone feeling unwell after the procedure. I did feel very rushed after my procedure despite feeling unwell! The doctor on shift however was very good. Nurses rushing to finish their shift in theatre to hand me over made me feel uneasy. Nurse looking after me rushing me out the door as it was past 8pm. I was worried about leaving as still felt pretty unwel. Overall was not tailored to my needs Surgeon & anaesthetist very good can’t fault them at all. Made me feel very at ease before my procedure.

Mr Ash Prabhudesai

Dr Prabhudesai met me at very short notice and operated me a week later. He was kind, professional and understood my situation very quickly. My condition is not serious and yet very painful & uncomfortable so early action was very much appreciated. I could have done with some additional guidance on what recovery might look like and what I could expect but he did see me twice after the procedure, again, at short notice. A special mention for Nayana and Sonya (in Nayana's absence) who manage Dr Prabhudesai's diary. Exceptional in responsiveness and extremely kind and professional. Thank you.

Mr Attilakos was incredibly attentive, calm and encouraging every step of the way through our pregnancy. He had endless patience for our first-time parents to be and kept an encyclopaedic knowledge to reassure and take action where needed. During labour, he was very present and warm and we are so incredibly grateful to have him be the one to welcome our daughter. We trust him completely. I walked away from labour with such a positive experience that helped buoy me into those delicate newborn weeks with strength and confidence, and Mr Attilakos was a large reason for that.

Dr Tristan Ramcharan

I reached out to Doctor Ramcharan to see my 10 year old Son who has Cerebral Palsy and is experiencing a lot of chest pain. Doctor Ramcharan saw him very quickly, he listen to my son and listen to us (Parents), he read all my notes and concerned, he gave him a thorough examination, ECG and Echocardiogram. He spent a lot of time checking everything, and taking pictures of the results. He discuss the results with us all and in layman's terms both for us and for our son. He put our minds at ease. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Ramcharan.

Dr. Ghosh is an absolutely wonderful doctor, and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. From my very first visit, he has been empathetic, calm, and incredibly clear when explaining my diagnosis. I would highly recommend George, he is the kindest most caring consultant I have ever come across. His patience & time he spends with you makes the biggest difference, he is so detailed and really makes you feel comfortable. George has a very caring manner about him, I never felt rushed or like anything I asked was too much. He took such good care of me throughout all appointments & my surgery. I had a cancellation MRI which might explain why I wasn’t sure what to do. Had to wait 30 mins. Mobile units were ok but slightly disorganised. Reception lady was very professional but man who took over wasn’t easy to understand. I had to ask him about clothing to take off. I wasn’t told to remove my boots until I entered MRI room. He and another man got me into the unit but when I was pulled out some way through there was someone different which was strange. However this woman was very nice and kind.

Dr Pradeep was very thorough with the investigation into my child’s allergies. We were seen promptly after arriving and a full family and child history was taken. The allergy testing was done in the same appointment, as were results and further referrals as needed. As a mum of a small baby, coming out of an appointment with answers and plans in regards to moving forward really puts your mind at ease and that exactly what Dr Pradeep achieved.

To help other people having the operation, I would encourage them to have it and explain its hard work at first but gets easier the more work you put in yourself , meaning physio work , sticking to the plan and not doing too much or definitely to little and being patient, success will come it might take time . I'm totally pain free which probably took a good 4 months to get there , now after nearly 10 months I have no problems whatsoever!

I am however very disappointed with being initially discharged from hospital by Dr Kwan with an accute appendicitis, despite complaining of bottom right abdominal pain when lifting leg, as well as loss of appetite, and asking for an ultrasound to rule out appendicitis. The result of this was a gangrenous appendix which we were lucky to catch just before it burst, and only thanks to me being overly cautious and coming back to my GP.

There was a delay in my appointments... taking 3 months from being referred and filling out relevant paperwork. After initial diagnostic appointment it took 4 months to actually get my diagnosis. Apparently there was a back log. But overall much quicker than NHS and very happy with the experience.

Have recieved treatment from Dr Rahman for ADHD over the last year and have felt a huge improvement in my quality of life. Have gone from being under threat of a PIP at work to being interviewed for promotion. The results very much speak for themselves.
