I was checked so thoroughly I knew I was in safe hands and good care to the point I have no worries at all now. After intensive tests were carried out for my diagnosis, which Dr Mehra highly recommended highly, I was treated with upmost professionalism warm, caring, compassion and support which I needed at the time for my own well being . In 2019 when I was 80 years old I was diagnosed with Stage 3 bowel cancer. I consulted a cancer specialist in my local area and was advised that I was too old for surgery as it was unlikely that I would survive and could end up in a wheelchair if surgery went ahead. I decided to seek a second opinion and consulted Mr Jenkins. He agreed to take on my case and my operation went ahead in February 2020. Six years later I am alive, I have recently moved house and I live independantly, I still drive and enjoy gardening, despite osteoarthritis. I am NOT in a wheelchair! Thank you Mr Jenkins and team for saving my life!

From the pre assessment with nurse 3 on the 12/03/2026 to the day of the operation on the 11/04/2026 the whole time had been a stress free and relaxing experience from start to finish beginning with the anaesthetist explaining everything in detail and putting my mind at rest to Mr Mohan Harilingam visiting me in my room before hand calming and reassuring me to the excellent nursing afterwards in the recovery ward through to the visit again by Mr Mohan Harilingam telling me he was happy how it went also the senior male nurse explaining about after care and meds the following days /weeks.

Mr Jonas was incredibly patient and understanding with my daughters additional needs, he was helpful and understanding and went above and beyond to relieve her blocked ears, meaning we was able to avoid going under general anaesthetic at such a young age. I am so grateful doctors like him exist in this world and should we ever require his expertise again in ENT I would only ever want to see him. Words can’t express how truly grateful I am for what he has done to help my 4 year old child. Thank you for everything and for his staff that assisted us on the day of our appointment.

I had a very good experience at Spire St Anthony’s Hospital. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly from start to finish. Prior to my colonoscopy, I also had blood tests and an MRI under strain to rule out an inguinal hernia, and all appointments were coordinated efficiently. Everything was on time, which made the overall experience much less stressful. The team was kind, professional, and attentive throughout. I felt well looked after and supported at every stage. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend the hospital.

Dr Zammit was excellent and so was the person doing my mammogram and the nurses were good. However, the lady doing my cts scan was full of attitude when I asked more questions. She huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes on her colleague (a nurse who was present). I rather her attention was on me and giving me the best care than showing her annoyance towards her coworker so obliviously. My care from her was diabolical and I came away questioning her expert advice. All due to her lack of professionalism. A shame, because everyone else were brilliant.

Appointment for mri booked at 3pm arrived at 2PM still hadn't been seen at 4.10pm had to leave and go across the road for another test elsewhere told to come back or rebook but we drove 6 hour round trip rebooking wasn't really am option We were told by receptionist if we can't hold our place in the queue we would have to rebook but in theory it wasn't us who didn't hold our place Receptionist had a bad attitude for a private imaging centre!

I have been attending Nuffield Derby for many years now. It's my choice of hospital. It's easy to get to and, although there is limited parking it's still easier than attending a city hospital. My only recommendation would be for more parking to be made available. I am ok to walk to the reception if I have to park elsewhere but a lot of patients must struggle.

The hospital felt more like a little hotel stay than a medical facility. Having a private room where a partner could spend the day made the whole experience so much easier. The personnel were incredibly friendly, starting with the receptionist who admitted us, to and especially the nurse, she was the kindest soul and truly made the stay feel like a warm hug.

Did feel I was listened to was disappointed the GP was unable to give me stronger long term medications. He did explain why and suggested other routes I could try fir my chronic insomnia. Either by his referral or my NHS GP ti get to route of my severe anxiety .which he diagnosed by on line questionnaire. Thank You.
