I was recently referred to Mr Kostalos by my haematology Dr, for ongoing and worsening bowel symptoms. So much so, that I was at the stage of being unable to eat! My weight was dropping like a stone! And trying to live a life on a limited liquid diet whilst receiving chemotherapy. Mr. Kostalos saw me and admitted me on the same day (even though he’d been in theatre doing an emergency operation throughout the night!) and operated the next day. What an amazing person he is. I spent 2 days in intensive care (more so for the fact of only recently having had a chemotherapy session, and I was able to be monitored better) but as soon as I was moved to a surgical ward for the rest of my recovery, Mr Kostalos visited every morning to check in on my progress. His bedside manner is 100% his knowledge is spot on as is surgical expertise. Today he contacted me to ask how I was getting on and to also tell me the results of the section of bowel that he removed. (Incidentally was good news) This gentleman has given me my life back, for which I will be forever grateful. Mr Kostalos, I cannot thank you enough.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was outstanding. The porter who greeted me, carried my bag, and personally showed me to my room set the tone for what would be a first-class stay. This was my first visit to the hospital so I was a little apprehensive. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and polite. Dr Hlaing was amazing. Having spoken to two GP's regarding my hair loss prior to my consultation, I was left feeling that there was very little they could do to help me. Dr Hlaing listened to me, offered a wide range of options that were available which made me feel optimistic. She was supportive, and basically couldn't do enough for me. I left the hospital a new person, full of hope for the future even though I have to play my part, life looks happy again. Thank you so much

Went in with our 14 week old for a tongue tie consultation as the NHS wouldn’t see her as she was over 12 weeks. Mira explained everything thoroughly and in a way non medical people would understand, she was also amazing with a tired, hungry, grumpy baby. She diagnosed the tongue tie within seconds of looking in her mouth and cut it there and then with the help of the nurse. Baby cried understandably but next to no bleeding and was feeding with 5 minutes. Mira has worked a miracle and it’s like having a different baby. Thank you so much from one very tired, emotional breastfeeding mother, you are amazing!!

I came in for hip replacement on Saturday 4th October. I arrived as requested at 7.30am and was 2nd on the list. I was efficiently prepped, my surgeon came to check if I had any questions, confirmed all steps of the procedure and I then signed the consent form. The procedure went well. I was cared for extremely well by ALL staff. I had a catheterisation which I had never had before. It was completely painless and 24 hours later I could pu normally. I cannot praise the department and staff professionalism highly enough - thank you.

My appt was with Mr Muneer Ahmed and it is always a pleasant experience. The team at reception are always polite, friendly and welcoming and the nurses who are in the room with me during my examinations are empathic and kind. It's always clean and bright in the unit and ltge whole experience lessens my anxiety when visiting for checkups. Mr Ahmed is always professional but so personable and is super efficient with making and communicating my appts and results.

The appointment itself and the follow up call were very professional, informative and discreet. My only criticism is that the follow up call to go through the results should be mandatory and included within a combined cost. I personally found the results confusing and jumped to an incorrect conclusion, that significantly impacted myself and my partner.
