I had an excellent experience with Thompson and Hardwick Optometrists. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. They took the time to really understand my needs and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire appointment. The eye examination was thorough and clearly explained, which I really appreciated. They used modern equipment and made sure I understood every step, giving me full confidence in the care I was receiving. When it came to choosing frames, their team was patient and knowledgeable, offering helpful advice without any pressure. What really stood out to me was their attention to accessibility. Having a stairlift available made a huge difference and showed genuine thoughtfulness towards customers who might need a bit of extra support. It’s a small detail that speaks volumes about how much they care about making their services inclusive and accessible to everyone. Overall, the level of care, expertise, and attention to detail was outstanding. I was quite emotional discussing school and early struggles, but Dr Cappai handled it sensitively and without making it awkward. She allowed pauses when I needed them. The conversation felt collaborative, not interrogative, which made a significant difference. What I appreciated most was that she seemed genuinely attuned to how difficult it can be to revisit those experiences, especially when they relate to long-standing ADHD traits that were never fully understood at the time. I didn’t feel rushed or pushed to respond, which helped me open up more than I expected. She also helped me connect past difficulties with how they still affect my daily functioning now, which gave me a clearer and more compassionate understanding of myself. I left feeling validated rather than overwhelmed, which is something I hadn’t experienced before in assessments.

Doctor Docherty immediately put me at ease. His expertise and clinical knowledge was evident from our first consultation. Every step of the process was excellent. I left my initial consultation feeling relieved that there was a plan in place to address my symptoms quickly. He explained every aspect of his clinical plan, as well as his rationale for diagnostics and investigations. Dr Docherty is an outstanding physician. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am a clinician myself. I have worked with countless doctors over a 22 year career. I can honestly say Dr Docherty is one of the best. I highly recommend him.

Mr Vakharia is lovely. He has a lot of knowledge and experience. I was explained everything really well before and on the day of the operation. The aftercare was also excellent! Mr Vakharia came to see me many times after the operation to check everything, which was great. Even when I was discharged, Mr Vakharia, was on hand for any issues I had and would also get back to me. Had two follow ups after surgery. Cannot fault Mr Vakharia at all. From start to finish he was amazing! I would highly recommend Mr Vakharia to anyone! He is the best at what he does.

After initially being devastated following my diagnosis at West Suffolk Hospital and advised that I would t be disfigured as I would need an excision I now feel on to of the world. I cannot praise the clinic and staff enough. The whole experience was professional, friendly, relaxing and pain free. Even during the surgery I felt completely relaxed. It is now only3 days since surgery and today I had the dressing removed. I am so happy with the result. Mr Abood has done a fantastic job reconstructing my nose and I will be forever grateful .
