I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

When I met with Dr. Ibrahim, he listened attentively to my concerns and took the time to address each one thoroughly. Dr Ibrahim didn't rush through the appointment and made sure I felt heard and understood every step of the way. I was treated with care, compassion and given a lot of detail and support and time for all my questions by Mr Prezerakos. I opted for a discectomy after several consultations and physiotherapy as the first step of treatment, but was in too much pain to walk, so had the surgery and am pleased to report all of my pain has gone and the surgey was successful.

My experience from start finish was excellent. I was thoroughly given all the information prior to surgery and very well looked after during and after. Before meeting Mr Akula I had a herniated disc L5-S1 and I was in constant agony. I'm now 9 weeks post op and i already feel like I've got my life back.

Dr. Chitnavis is truly the doctor's hands you want to place yourself into. I have never experienced a doctor with such an attentive nature, kind, professional, warm, detail oriented, and thorough doctor. He was incredibly re-assuring, and had the bedside manner that was above and beyond. He should be teaching a course in this as the gold standard. I'm incredibly thankful for his care, and continued due diligence.
