The whole family's concerns were addressed but at the centre was the patient and her concerns a truly exemplary consultation in every way. To take a case that had long been beyond the reach of NHS dogma; to deconstruct it and then elementally re-combine the components around a single evidence backed core explanation, was an absolute object lesson in how academic and free-thinking medicine can be conducted to the benefit of the patient, their family and support networks. This consultation was a masterclass in common sense practice triumphing over outdated concepts and barriers in thinking. Dr Saggar was professional, courteous and informative throughout my consultations with him. He provided a very thorough consultation and constant correspondence throughout the process for any queries I may have had.

Having seen other orthopaedic surgeons and undergone surgey previously on the same issue, seeing Mr Malik felt like the first actual 'Consultant' appointment. For clarity, I wanted to see Mr Malik due to his cited specialities of assisting younger sportspeople back to participation. We discussed options, potential routes, risks and benefits to each before settling upon a choice. Mr Malik was thorough and open in the conversations and I felt listened to throughout. The surgery was a success, and having gone from a place of very little hope in making a good recovery to the knee problems, I have ended up with the potential of returning to a life of activity. This wasn't seen as an option previously, and I can only thank Mr Malik for his time, input and patience in working with me.

I was happy to meet with Dr Fishman for confirmation of Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnoses last week. I found the experience very pleasant, he was professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable and took his time explaining everything in language I could understand, went through all my medical history and past blood tests. I left the consultation happier (with the appropriate medication prescription) than I had done in the last couple of months. I really do highly recommend Dr Fishman and am more than happy to book a follow up appointment in the future
