The doctor and assistants were wonderful but the appointment was 45 minutes late

I recently had to undergo a mastectomy and reconstruction with Professor Mokbel following my breast cancer diagnosis and am delighted with the result . The surgery took place promptly and I have minimal scaring ( the smallest half moon shape under my nipple) , unbelievably ! The most surprising thing was the almost complete lack of pain after 24 hours bar a little discomfort and how incredibly my reconstructed breast matches with the other side . As well as his expertise and professionalism I found Professor Mokbel to be kind and empathetic and after my follow up appointments I have come away feeling reassured and informed. An all round positive experience which has helped no end during a difficult time coming to terms with the shock of breast cancer.

I visited Dr Lucy Satherley after noticing a change to the appearance of my breast that concerned me. She put me at ease and was very reassuring when I was distressed. She explained everything clearly and I was promptly given a mammogram and ultrasound. I would not hesitate to make another appointment with Lucy if needed in the future. Thank you!
