had previously been with 2 other fertility clinics, both of which went straight into various treatments (OI, IUI and IVF) without any investigation into why I might not be falling pregnant. My partner and I didn’t know any different and so we went with what the “experts” in the room told us to do. Unfortunately no matter what we tried, nothing was leading us to a viable pregnancy. We then decided to make the switch to No 1 Fertility after a couple of recommendations from friends. They initially wanted to investigate further into why I might not be falling pregnant before jumping into another IVF cycle. Within 1 month, extensive blood tests were taken and I had a laparoscopy with a tubal flush all of which diagnosed me with endometriosis, high NKC and 2 variants of the MTHFR gene. After a long IVF cycle (down regulation) I am now pregnant thanks to Dr Lyn and her team. We are so thankful for their knowledge and commitment to make patients feel seen and heard.

Dr Kitchen is the consummate professional as a surgeon. The manner that he communicated with me regarding all facets of upcoming surgery he had to perform (my second complete knee replacement in seven weeks) was second to none. Dr Kitchen again provided me with the detailed information of what was required pre operation and post operation in layman’s terms ensuring it was fully understood and easily complied with. His friendly manner relieved any anxiety regarding the operation (which was extremely complicated due to the degeneration of the knee joint and surrounding bones) making it a bearable (can’t say enjoyable) experience. I am in the age group now where a number of my associates/friends are heading towards having knee replacements, and I would not hesitate recommending Dr Davi Kitchen as their surgeon.

I can’t rate Professor Jo Rimmer more highly, she has changed my life! I was without taste and smell and had more than 20 years of blocked sinuses, runny nose and sleep apnoea. Since my operation 7 months ago I‘m now able to taste really well, my sense of smell has returned to around 70 percent, and I’ve done away with the compressor beside my bed and the “romantic” face mask. I now breath freely through my nose to sleep, with my mouth closed and don’t snore at all. Thank you, Professor Jo Rimmer, you’ve changed mine and my family’s lives.

I saw Dr Stokes for an infected gallbladder and gallstones. He’s was very compassionate and understanding of my situation (I had an an important family holiday coming up) he got me in quickly for surgery. Explained everything so that felt informed about my surgery and was available if I needed to call him before. Surgery and recovery were very quick. I like that he saw me just before I went in for the operation, then afterwards and the next morning. I’ve had a very good recovery. He was very professional and caring. Would recommend him.

Was impressed with the efficiency of the place, and the knowledge and approachability of the Doctor. He re-assured me during a difficult diagnosis of AF and offered to manage the correspondence with my GP. He even gave me another ECG test when he noticed, by feeling my pulse, that my heart seemed to have reset spontaneously. The ECG did indeed confirm it! My cardiologist was Dr Bernard Thomas who does not appear in your list.

I was disappointed with the wait time before my procedure. I was booked for a 1pm procedure, told in the information before not too come early, so arrived just before 1pm, but waited until 3pm before I was wheeled in. It was a very cold environment (meaning the temperature), staff offered me an extra warmed-up blanket. I even saw a staff member take a warm blanket and wrap it around herself.

I thought the food was great, nurses were friendly and attentive. However the communication in handover was poor as I had my stay extended and was forgotten about. So no food, no pain meds, no observations, drip ran out. Luckily I twigged on and thought mmm it’s nearly 8pm and I haven’t seen anyone since lunchtime. Apart from that it was very good.
