I had previously had a partial knee arthroplasty and this time, because of arthritis, needed a full knee replacement. I researched and found what I believed to be an exceptionally talented and dedicated professional in Dr Tulloch with extraordinary experience in surgical practice, including using the Mako Robotic system which I understood, because of its accuracy, avails a speedier recovery, of course dependent on the patient's condition and fitness. Other factors in my decision were his preponderance for research, teaching and training of peers, the latter point convinced me of my decision. And I was not disappointed. Dr Tulloch is exceptionally caring, giving time to explain intricate procedures and putting up with mundane "run-of-the-mill" questions I had over the course of our pre & post op consultations. I was in hospital for four days for which he followed up every second day to assure me of the success of the procedure and arranging for the recovery support needed through associate GP's and in-home rehabilitation. After six weeks I dropped the morphine pain killers and was able to drive again, after 8 weeks was walking without pain, and began pedalling with an inhouse exercise bike and hopefully heading back to my mountain bike cycling by week twelve! I mentioned to Dr Tulloch that I am eternally grateful and highly recommend him to anyone needing any orthopaedic surgery.

I had spinal fusion and decompression of L4 L5 almost 6 months ago and it has changed my life for the better in every way. From the very first visit I was impressed with how good a listener Dr Oehme was, but he didn't just listen he understood my challenges. Dr Oehme reviewed my MRI with me, explaining and describing what was present and how each aspect was relevant to my symptoms. Dr Oehme then went through a list of options for treatment and explained why he made a certain recommendation. I was not pressured in any way. I was given an excellent overview of any risks. From Day 1 post surgery I have had a phenomenal recovery. I am symptom free. When I move I no longer spend time trying to find ways of describing my symtoms...this used to take up so much space in my brain. This surgery has ensured I can continue to work, pay my rent, be productive and independent! Most importantly I have now lost weight, returned to regular exercise and am enjoying a sense of well being and content with my body. I am a 67 year old female. DR Oehme has significantly improved and positively enhanced the trajectory of my aging and I am so very very appreciative!!!

He is patient, calm, and genuinely listens without judgement or pressure. He doesn't rush me, doesn't force me to talk before I am ready, and respects how hard communication can be for someone like me. That alone makes a huge difference. Tane has a way of making sessions feel safe and supportive, even with discussing very difficult things. I never feel dismissed or misunderstood which has been a common experience for me in the past. He explains things clearly, meets me where I am at, and adapts his approach rather than expecting me to fit a rigid model. If you have struggled to find a psychologist who truly "gets it" I highly recommend Tane Thomas. Staff, brilliant. Cleanliness, spotless. Professionals, fabulous Food, TERRIBLE!. Dry, stodgy bread and sandwich had no filling. Basically mayo and rocket on white. After fasting 12 hrs, I had to force myself to eat. Not conducive to patient recovery or morale. Worse than a child's school lunchbox.
