Went in for colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Admission preparation perfect. Surgeon Dr Nair . Took it upon himself to band 3 haemorrhoids. I was told 3 to 24 hours of discomfort. Discharged with no pain relief. Put up with heap of discomfort and broken sleep for far to long before I took action to manage my discomfort. 5 days later is the first time I have been able to work. As a Dairyfarmer who was roster to work 24 after procedure. It put immense pressure on my young daughter to take my place on the farm forcing her to work 16 hour days. So in summary I'm extremely disappointed in how I was allowed to leave Maryvale hospital without being informed and armed with medication for my recovery. It has been extremely disruptive to my farm business.

The cardiologist was excellent. My beef is with the front desk staff. I was left standing unacknowledged for a considerable time! One looked at me for a second and resumed whatever she was doing. After some more considerable time, the eldest muttered something about “ they will attend to me soon “. Eventually the third called me to attend to my appointment. Just because they work for highly qualified medical professionals does not place them above the patients. If they are seated at a reception desk, they need to be trained in basic customer service towards the patients, their customers.

The staff at the centre were all awesome🙏 My only issue is that after the procedure I got ‘Post-procedural Rhinitis After Intravenous Sedation With Supplemental Nasal Oxygen, or PRAISE SNOG’. Could I suggest your nurses are trained further in this so they can give patients advice before they leave if it happens to them. I was sneezing consistently before I left, so it was pretty obvious I had it. And now I know more, there are ways to minimise the impact, that I would have appreciated knowing earlier.

Dr Krishnan was very caring and had very clear communication with everything. I really appreciated that he came in to see me the day after my procedure and went through everything with me and also came to see me on the day of my discharge from the hospital. He also took the time to look into my partners firtility and did pathology for him and explained everything. Dr Krishnan and his team are amazing and I'm very lucky to have been a patient.

Did my gastro/colonoscopy at this clinic. I must say all the staff are so friendly and make you feel at ease. All steps of the procedure are well explained by the nurse and doctors. The place is extremely clean and you actually feel very comfortable lying on the bed. Post procedure was very good with the doctor explaining what had been done and any issues. Highly recommended!! Thanks to all the wonderful staff!

Dr (Mac) Clark-Dickson is one of the few drs I’ve come across who is accepting and knowledgeable about the mind/body/spirit dynamics (not woohoo but actual robust science). As such, he is able to have much better insights for deeper diagnosis and treatments. He has a kind, patient and collegiate style of interaction which is soothing and calming for the patient. His training is comprehensive and up to date.

Roland was friendly, approachable and was genuinely interested in getting my blood sugar levels under control. After discussing how my treatment was progressing he suggested a slight change to my current dosages.and to continue monitoring results.

It would be good to receive an email of the histology report rather than have to ask the GP for that report.
