Dr. Yousif Alyousif

Dr Yousif Alyousif is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist practising at Melbourne IVF in Collingwood, Victoria. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is undertaking subspecialist training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (CREI), the highest level of fertility training in Australasia.

He specialises in fertility, reproductive endocrinology, gynaecology, and obstetrics, with additional expertise in male infertility, minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery, and ultrasound imaging. His clinical work includes the assessment and management of infertility, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and other reproductive health conditions affecting both female and male fertility.

Dr Alyousif provides a full range of fertility investigations and treatments, including assisted reproductive techniques such as IVF, intrauterine insemination (IUI), ovulation induction, and fertility preservation, as well as broader gynaecological care. He is involved in all stages of fertility care, including consultation, diagnostic assessment, ultrasound monitoring, and procedural treatments.

His clinical approach incorporates evidence-based reproductive medicine, supported by expertise in endocrine and hormonal aspects of fertility. He also integrates surgical and imaging techniques where appropriate, particularly in the management of conditions such as endometriosis and other structural or reproductive disorders.

Dr Alyousif completed his medical degree at the University of Otago, where he also undertook research in reproductive endocrinology. He went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology at the same institution, followed by a Master of Reproductive Medicine with Excellence from the University of New South Wales.

In addition to his clinical work, he has presented research at regional and international conferences and has received recognition for academic contributions, including the Harvey Carey Memorial Prize for original research presented at the RANZCOG Annual Scientific Meeting.
