I have, today, had my final consultation with Dr. Segal, after meeting him initially nearly eight months ago. During that time, in which I have had a pacemaker implantation, an ablation and a left atrial appendage occlusion, the care and treatment I have received from him has been outstanding. The news he gave me today that I no longer am classified as having heart failure is testament to his immense skill. Following my first consultation I wrote that I had every confidence that I was in safe and extremely capable hands. That has proved to be the case in every respect. At the outset, he explained my condition and the possible route forward in great detail. At every stage this attention to detail, making sure I fully understood what was to be done, how and why was repeated.
