I wouldn't recommend this clinic. Yes it was fast to get the appointment, but the aftercare is very poor, they didn't ever ring me to tell me my results or explain or follow-up on my bloodwork test results or smear test, they just emailed. I am writing this review so that others are aware of this. It was poor service overall. They did suggest I could do more tests with them, on an email, and I found this quite blatant and transparent in terms of what their real concern is: money. I also was informed by a GP (I went to this clinic a few months ago as I couldn't find any available GP's at the time in the city) that this clinic should have ensured I was on my period to do more extensive bloodwork to check for hormones relating to PCOS, whereas we just did an androgen and thyroid test. If they had told me that doing it between day 2 and 5 would be significantly better, I would have just done my free smear test and left. They couldn't find my vein and caused my arm to bruise badly as I bled, they had to do it in my hand which hurts more. In the new GP, she did it with much more ease in the other arm with more prominent veins. In both scenarious, I assume nurses were not available, but at least the second GP did it painlessly and skillfully. I got so much out of my GP appointment, for the same price, but with so much more care and we got much more done and I feel like I'm in brilliant, caring, professional hands, whereas at this clinic, they seem not to care so much, I felt more uncomfortable overall, and got the impression that they just want the money, and for me, that does not equate to good service and I can't trust a place like that. I wouldn't go back because of the way they conduct business. The client's healthcare should be number one. The service wasn't bad, but it also was definitely not good and made me think poorly of Irish healthcare. Now I am determined to get the right kind of healthcare. Don't go here unless you are looking for a very simple test and need it quickly. I should have patiently waited for something more extensive and with follow-through, but I impulsively booked.

5 stars! I had a really good consultation with Dr Kirby. All issues were discussed. He had no problem at all with any query I had to ask about and even when I had to ask about it all over again, so that I could remember it all later on! When he was going through some results with me, he provided very valuable and useful insights regarding other issues I’m dealing with and it gave me a better understanding of what’s happening overall. It’s been hard at times to join all the dots when you’re under the care of a number of consultants. He was very clear and takes all of that into account, which I’d guess isn’t always easy. For me, he looked at the picture now and he gave me a plan going forward(a big relief!). I was very much at ease at the consultation. He comes across as well meaning but at the same time he seemed very much alert to my specific situation. He didn’t do any generalising. He was very much patient specific and my impression was that he genuinely wanted to interact on the issues- big or small. . I have to do a return visit but I’m not in the least bit reluctant about going back. I’d mention what you think is relevant to him and not to leave anything out, as he’s open to listening and at the same time he was good at steering the visit. There was no rushing either! He was personable and he had a gentle and caring manner.

After years of trying to get to the bottom of health issues regarding low energy, low mood, painful and inflamed joints, which had been placed everywhere from Thyroid to fibromyalgia to depression, and many different medications I went to see Virginia Ziulu. She was recommended by a work colleague who had a similar situation and got great success with Virginia. Virginia, is a lovely, highly intelligent lady, who literally trawled her way back through my medical history, my bloods, old and recent, and recommended some more until she came up with an answer. It turns out my adrenal system wasn't working properly, or in fact was over working. She recommended a course of action from a nutritional and supplement point of view, and sent me lots of information and the science behind what was happening and why this approach best suited to my situation. She also wrote a lovely letter to my GP to explaining why she made her recommendations. I feel so much better and have my old life back. I cannot thank Virginia enough for all she has done for me.

Very experienced, compassionate and empathetic yet firm enough to gently reign in and bring back those in distress during sessions to face and resolve their reasons for seeing a therapist in the first place. The development of coping strategies and Alison helping to change entrenched perceptions from my past have greatly helped me to survive and realise that there is light and not just darkness. That things no matter how insurmountable can be overcome with support.

I was so fortunate to be treated by the wonderful Dr Rossella Fioresta. From our first meeting her caring manner and professionalism shon through. After a thorough examination review and consultation she advised me of my options and made her recommendation. She explained the overall procedure with clear detail and allowed me the time to make a decision. I took her recommendation and had the combination of the all-in-6 on top and all-in-4 on the bottom. The procedure was carried out in one session and to my amazement was, as she promised, literally pain free – 14 extractions and 10 implants. The follow up and aftercare she provides is not only to make sure I was satisfied but also that she was satisfied – such is the level of her care. I now have a wonderful confident smile but also I believe a new friend. I truly could not recommend her highly enough.

You need to explain prices before a person attends clinic I asked cost and was told only about consultant cost (I received price structure after my first appointment in an envelope with my follow up appointments) you need to state that any extra eye tests are charged for when asked about cost on first phone call - I wasn’t informed of this and then when handed the bill to take to front desk it added to €380 when the receptionist said €390 I asked twice about amount and she said no it’s €390 when I received receipt there was a €10 charge I feel receptionist should have told me this when I questioned her

I went to The Health Lab for an LP(a) blood test. It is currently not possible to have LP(a) tested as part of the standard test through you GP and I was advised that I would need to go to the Mater Private. I discovered that this blood test is offered at The Health Lab. I booked an appointment easily through the website. I received an exceptional high level of service and everyone I dealt with was extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable. My blood test results were received within 24 hours.

No other patients at that time so straight in to see the doctor after registration. Doctor asked pertinent questions and confirmed my home diagnosis. Issued suitable prescription to local pharmacy and I was taking medication within twenty minutes of arriving at the surgery.
