Ms Marvi Shah is an experienced psychotherapist and mental health counsellor who works with individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. She offers both short and long term counselling, providing a safe, supportive space tailored to each client’s unique needs, pace, and therapeutic goals.
Marvi holds a BSc in Social Sciences and an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow. She further developed her clinical expertise through a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at CPPD Pakistan. As well as this, she is a Graduate Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and the British Psychological Society.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and relational, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, person-centred, gestalt, transactional analysis, and relational therapies. Marvi works thoughtfully with clients’ past experiences helping them understand how these shape present-day emotions, behaviours, and relationships. Marvi is a very calming and grounding person, sessions with her are full of empathy and compassion. She is not only patient and validating but also someone who encourages you to explore ways to tackle your fears and biases. She goes above and beyond by sharing things that are relevant to you outside of sessions, even checking in on you during longer breaks where you aren't able to attend Whenever I've undergone an emotionally charged session, Marvi check in before we close, and if I am feeling overwhelmed she'll provide me with methods and pointers to help me process what I might be experiencing I can say one thing with absolute certainty, Marvi genuinely gives a shit about her people
