At the time, I was 55 year old male suffering with a protrusion of the middle lobe of my prostrate into my bladder, causing an obstruction. Or in English, I could no longer urinate properly and I was getting a lot of UTIs. After discussing with Dr. De Wildt, it sounded like a much better option that the alternatives, especially in terms of recovery time. It was also a more precise and exact procedure. The operation was a complete success for me, and Dr. de Wildt was very patient, making sure I understood everything that was going on, the risks, and the likely result. As a follow-on, I had raised PSA but a recent MRI has ruled out anything sinister and it requires monitoring. All-in-all, I am very pleased and happy that I discovered Dr. de Wildt and Holep.

Dr de Wildt explained everything to me and was very reassuring about the treatment. He explained in detail the treatment I had and what to expect while I was recovering. I always felt safe and informed.

The first I heard of Michel de Wildt was when I read an article in the Examiner newspaper. In it he described the HOLEP procedure, the modern alternative to TURP. I returned home on the 23rd December 2025.The HOLEP procedure has been an outstanding success and I sincerely thank Michel de Wildt for changing my life for the better.
