Dr. Barry Hall is a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive expertise in various areas of gastroenterology, endoscopy, and colorectal screening. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2009 and completed his basic specialist training at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Following this, Dr. Hall pursued an MD thesis in Wireless Capsule Technology at Trinity College Dublin.
Subsequently, Dr. Hall completed his higher specialist training in Gastroenterology within the RCSI Hospital Group. He further honed his skills by spending 18 months abroad at Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust, where he completed a fellowship in advanced luminal endoscopy.
In 2018, Dr. Hall returned to Dublin to assume his current role as Consultant Gastroenterologist at Connolly Hospital. Since then, he has successfully established a National Referral Centre for Capsule Endoscopy and Device-Assisted Enteroscopy.
Dr. Hall has a particular interest in minimally invasive endoscopy, cancer surveillance, and lower gastrointestinal therapeutic endoscopy. However, he is experienced in all aspects of general gastroenterology and is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to his patients.

I found my experience to be very good as the Doctor was relaxed and I could express my fears around sedation which didn't work in the past in another hospital. I found the Nurses great in helping me and explaining everything beforehand. The Doctor....Barry came around to me later and was very reassuring. I appreciated his approach of friendliness and professionalism.

Dr Hall removed precancerous polyps from my colon. He explained everything in great (non-medical) detail, giving me all the time I needed to make decisions. I would recommend him highly to anybody requiring the services of a really professional Gastroenterologist.
