Dr Anwar has been absolutely brilliant throughout my time at Beacon Hospital. He is extremely professional, kind and helpful, and always takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything clearly. He has been very reassuring throughout what has been a stressful time and has made me feel genuinely cared for and in safe hands. It’s clear that he really cares about his patients and goes out of his way to help them. I’m very grateful for all his support and the excellent care he has given me. I cannot recommend Dr Anwar highly enough. I saw him today regarding ongoing stomach and bowel issues, and for the first time in a long time I felt truly listened to. He took the time to go through my full medical history, including my family history and explained clearly and thoroughly what each of my symptoms could mean and how my family history might be relevant. Nothing felt rushed, I had plenty of time to explain everything and to discuss the treatment options in detail. Dr Anwar gave me several options and possible paths forward. When I was hesitant about some of them, he reassured me and worked with me to come up with an alternative plan that addressed my concerns. His patience, knowledge and willingness to listen made such a difference. I was also seen very promptly, and he arranged a sigmoidoscopy appointment less than a week after my consultation. I have never experienced such prompt follow-up within the healthcare system. I felt reassured, respected and fully involved in decisions about my care. Thank you, Dr Anwar, an exceptional consultant.

Dr Anwar was so helpful, and went through my procedure in full. He had loads of time to listen to all my queries and questions. My procedure was so smooth and I was so relaxed. I knew I was in great hands.

Dr Anwar is very personable and put me completely at my ease during my colonoscopy. I required some further tests and during my follow up consultation with him he was so patient and kind in explaining the results to me.
