Psychotherapist at Connolly Counselling Centre Founder of Evolution Counselling – Gently Accepting You
Gráinne is an experienced psychotherapist who supports adults through many of the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise across the lifespan. With a background in nursing and integrative psychotherapy, she brings a steady, whole‑person perspective to her work.
Her approach is calm, collaborative, and grounded in creating a space where people can move at a pace that feels manageable. She works relationally — paying attention to what feels safe, what feels possible, and what helps someone reconnect with their own capacity for resilience and change.
Gráinne has particular experience supporting individuals during times of transition, including perimenopause and menopause. She integrates additional training in CBT for the management of hot flushes and night sweats (British Menopause Society).
She offers online therapy directly, and face‑to‑face sessions can be arranged through Connolly Counselling Centre.

Grainne was extremely supportive, kind and empathetic. She listened with great warmth and sincerity while also providing great advice. I would highly recommend her to friends and family.

Thank you for your thoughtful words. I’m glad the sessions felt warm and supportive for you, and that the guidance offered was useful along the way. It has been a privilege to work with you, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
My experience with Grainne has been overwhelmingly positive. She is a very attentive listener and creates a non-judgmental space in which I felt calm and safe. Her approach is generally open-ended and led at a pace that feels comfortable, though at times we worked more methodically when it was helpful. I particularly appreciated that nothing ever felt rushed; the therapy unfolded naturally, even during more difficult or uncertain periods. Grainne supported me through anxiety, stress, life transitions, trauma, and questions around identity. She would occasionally share relevant resources, which helped deepen my understanding and offered practical ways to move forward. Over time, I’ve experienced significant personal growth. I feel more confident and more in control of my life. While I still experience anxiety at times, it no longer feels as overwhelming, and I feel better equipped to manage it. Both the past and the future feel far less daunting than they once did. I would highly recommend Grainne to anyone looking for a thoughtful, patient, and supportive therapist.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful reflection. I’m really glad to hear that the space felt calm, unhurried, and supportive for you, and that the work could move at a pace that felt right. It’s been a privilege to walk alongside you through the different chapters you’ve navigated. I’m heartened to know that you feel more grounded and more able to meet what comes your way.
Grainne's interest in her field and her love of research are palpable in her course delivery. She is professional, while being very friendly, enthusiastic and supportive. Her course provided me with new insights and practises relating to my own stress management and self-care techniques. My day with her felt uplifting and highly beneficial.

I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. I’m glad the workshop met you in a helpful way and supported your own practices. Creating steady, attuned spaces for people is at the heart of my work, and I’m glad this one landed well for you.
Grainne is a genuine, warm and emphatic therapists who meets clients where they are at, offering a safe and supportive space to explore issues.
