I would like to raise a concern regarding my recent care for recurrent kidney stones. Firstly, I would like to highlight that Dr Fadi was excellent during my appointment. He explained the situation clearly and appeared genuinely committed to supporting his patients as much as possible. My complaint is not about his conduct, but about the overall approach to managing my condition. I am extremely concerned by the apparent lack of focus on prevention and follow-up for recurrent kidney stones. Several years ago, I passed a kidney stone and brought it to my urology appointment. I was told that no analysis would be done and that I could simply discard it. This was very disappointing, as analysing the stone could have identified the underlying cause and potentially helped prevent future episodes. Since then, I have continued to experience kidney stone episodes, yet there still appears to be no proactive plan to investigate why this keeps happening or how it can be prevented. Kidney stones are not a trivial issue; they can escalate rapidly and cause severe pain and complications. In this sense, they feel like a “time bomb”. I was also disappointed by the structure of my recent appointment. I requested time off work with the expectation that necessary tests or scans would be carried out on the same day. Instead, the appointment lasted less than ten minutes, and I am now required to wait again for a separate scan. This long and fragmented process adds unnecessary stress and delays diagnosis and management. I believe patients with recurrent kidney stones deserve a more preventative, joined-up approach, including stone analysis, timely investigations, and clear follow-up plans. I would appreciate clarification on why preventative measures are not routinely pursued and how my care can be improved going forward.

I have immense respect for him. During my recovery, I went through a particularly difficult period with significant pain and multiple concerns. After I sent an email outlining my worries, Dr Vakharia personally called me—even though I did not have a scheduled appointment—just to check in and talk through what I was experiencing and what I should and shouldn’t do. That small but incredibly meaningful gesture went above and beyond, and I will always be grateful for it. Endometriosis is a very challenging condition to live with, but I never once felt ignored or neglected under Dr Vakharia’s care. I was treated with genuine respect, kindness, and reassurance, and all of my concerns were consistently addressed. He said something to me that no other doctor ever has: he encouraged me not to live my life in fear and to trust the process and the success of the surgery. Hearing that from a doctor was deeply comforting. I am truly thankful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr Vakharia to anyone considering a gynaecologist. He is compassionate, attentive, and fully present throughout the entire process.

I had a bilateral cataract operation, performed by Mr. Deshmukh. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The technicians who did all the assessment checks (separate and earlier appointment) were excellent. At this appointment I met Mr Deshmukh who put me at ease and we discussed the best replacement lenses to suit my needs. For me the premium lenses were the right choice. On the day of the operation the hospital staff were brilliant - professional and good humoured. The operation was completely painless and took much less time than I had anticipated. The immediate aftercare was been superb and the nurse talked me through what I had to do and just as importantly avoid doing. I was given some eye drops to use for the next 4 weeks. You quickly become expert at using them. Following the operation my eyesight was as good as I can remember it ever being. I then returned for a follow up consultation with Mr Deshmukh who confirmed that my recovery was going very well and my vision is better than 20/20. I have worn spectacles since my early teens and this is an incredible outcome. I can now proceed with my training to become a driving instructor.

I recently had a consultation with Dr Tan, and I was truly impressed by the level of care she provided. She showed exceptional compassion and empathy, listened carefully to every concern, and addressed each point thoroughly and individually. No question felt rushed or unwelcome. This review honestly doesn’t do justice to the standard of service we received. I left the appointment feeling completely reassured and confident that I was in the safest hands. Speaking with her felt like talking to someone I had known for years—she was patient and so attentive. Whenever something wasn’t clear, she took the time to explain it fully, even using drawings to help us understand. A service like that will never be forgotten, thank you so much!

I have used Avenues for a cycle of IVF/ICSi, a hysteroscopy and then FET. I was under the care of De Ali Al Chami and became pregnant with the first transfer, having 3 failed attempts elsewhere. Dr Al Chami changed my protocol (both stimulation and transfer protocol). This places is miles apart because it guarantees continuity of care and patients are treated as people. dr Ali is a wonderful person and he cares about his patients. The midwives (Marina Christina Katie Fiona Emily Starvula) are all amazing and know each patient by name and treated me with warmth, dignity, compassion and professionalism.
