After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. Because of a history of skin cancer on both sides of my family, I try to receive regular comprehensive skin checks to ensure I am aware of any skin lesions that need to be treted or monitored. I had not had a regular check in several years, but Dr. Maslin put me at ease by taking a thorough accounting of my family history and performing a very thorough check, as well as making sure he answered all of my questions. In addition to being highly professional, Dr. Maslin is extremely friendly and personable. I couldn't have asked for a better skin check and feel confident in the evaluation I received.

I was extremely nervous having had a bad cataract surgery experience previously. However the staff went out of the way to make me feel comfortable, with a particular shout out to Bruce who was calm, funny, knowledgeable and held my hand throughout the procedure. Mr Ainsworth was warm and kind, it was good to meet him before the surgery. The whole procedure was explained and was over so quickly. It was a very personalised experience and my recovery has been quick and straightforward. I cannot recommend Newmedica highly enough, particularly for nervous patients.

Having been for a much longer and more complicated surgery, a year ago, I already knew that I would be in good hands for this, more minor procedure. The staff as so attentive and friendly, it was lovely to see most of the same familiar faces and to be remembered by them. Everything is exceptionally clean and I felt very well looked after, my consultant saw me before and after the procedure and kept me well informed. The anaesthetist also explained everything that would happen, answering any questions.

The staff at the hospital were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. They understood the importance of admission for surgery to the patient and were very supportive. All of the clinical and medical staff were first class, but the support staff were also excellent. The room was clean and comfortable and I was well looked after. The menu options were very good and the food was delicious. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this excellent hospital.

Mr Gill seems to me a very accomplished surgeon in the knee surgery field. He did an excellent job on both my knees, they both appear to be working fine and the scarring is much less than expected. Especially on my left knee where it's hardly noticeable, many people, even nurses, say it doesn't look as though I've had such major surgery done. 10 out of 10 Mr Gill. He is very easy to talk to and has great approach to his work.

Dr Nora Ng

Dr Nora Ng is very professional and goes the extra mile. Her specialist area is radiology, but I found (unusually with much modern medicine) that she is also able to think outside her own specialist area in looking for explanations and possible diagnosis, rather than only ruling things out. This is invaluable and beyond one can expect from many practitioners (other than at basic GP level). She comes highly recommended.

Mr Rahul Bhattacharyya

I would highly recommend Mr Bhattacharyya to carry out this form of surgery (arthroscopy). He was completely clear in what options were available to me, explaining the pros and cons of each one. Since my surgery , I am now approx 8 post and am participating in more exercise (strength training, circuit classes, Pilates etc) than I was doing prior to suffering the pain. He was completely approachable and empathetic.

Hand no 2 and well , the man is a machine. It was a lot tougher when operating but ,10 weeks on and the left is bk to round 75% . I can’t fault mr chauhan. First class. Not only this man but all of the staff encountered on both occasions. Mr chauhan and his team has given me my hands back! I visited Mr Elhassan following a questionable experience with another ENT that insisted I needed surgery. Mr Elhassan immediately put my fears at bay. He checked me thoroughly, reviewed my scans and explained everything in very simple language - including confirmation that surgery was absolutely not needed. He has an excellent bedside manner and makes visits to him very pleasant.

I was seen very quickly once it was realised I needed a procedure. Every staff member I met was very professional, friendly, and polite, from reception to porters to nursing staff. I felt like I was taken very good care of throughout my visit. The nurse also explained everything to me very clearly and made sure I had a thorough understanding before my discharge.

The doctor I had did not look through any of the files, he asked me to find my MRI results which were in fact in the pack in front of him. He then proceeded to tell me he couldnt help me with my knee injury and offered no reason or explanation as to why I would have been sent to them for a consultation. He offered no support and was quite frankly useless.
