I an currently ~5 weeks post single port robotic excision of endometriosis, and the results have been nothing short of life changing for me thus far. I have a very typical history of pelvic pain, which was dismissed multiple times by various GP's since I was a teenager, under the guise of "this is normal", but knowing deep down that it was not. I finally got a referral to see a specialist and I am so thankful that Mr Raza was recommended to me. From my first appointment he has made me feel comfortable and most importantly listened to and understood. He took the time to get a thorough history of my symptoms from my early teens to now aged 30 Upon examination he provided me with a provisional diagnosis of endometriosis, fully explained what endometriosis is, and presented all of my options to me very clearly. We came to the decision to try and manage medically as a first port of action and importantly, I never once felt like I was being pushed towards surgery. Unfortunately medical management didn't work for me and we came to the decision that surgery would be the best option for me. Despite this, Mr Raza again presented me with multiple options and I never felt like surgery was the only option, rather it was a choice that I made considering my symptom progression and history. The surgery went very well and thanks to the single-port nature and Mr Raza's skill my recovery has been very smooth and for the first time in a number of years I am completely pain free. Mr Raza provided a very clear picture of what was going on with me and helped me to understand how my symptoms a...
Read moreMr Raza is compassionate, patient centred and a knowledgeable, highly skilled endometriosis specialist surgeon. I had excision surgery with him 5 week's ago, and am already feeling lots better. I had single- port robotic and thoracic surgery and am healing well. Himself and his full team offer such a high standard of care - thank you so much for everything 🙂
Couldn’t have asked for a better doctor or team at the hospital. From my first appointment to surgery aftercare, I’ve always felt listened to and supported!
I highly recommend Mr. Raza. I had endometriosis excision surgery with him, and the care from consultation to follow-up was excellent. He clearly explained my MRI and symptoms using diagrams, which helped me feel informed and confident. The surgery went well, my recovery has been smooth, and at follow-up he showed and explained the procedure, which was very reassuring. Mr. Raza is highly skilled and knowledgeable, and he listened carefully and answered all my questions. His team were also fantastic, Sukhy ensured everything ran smoothly, and Denia was kind and supportive throughout. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would strongly recommend Mr. Raza and his team.
Mr Raza was recommended to me by my best friend, after she had a positive experience during her robotic excision surgery for endometriosis. From my first consultation with Mr Raza, his incredible knowledge of the disease put my mind at ease. He explained endometriosis to me in depth; gave me an understanding of what it is, where it presented itself for me during the initial ultrasound scan, and the available options for my treatment. I was given the time to reflect on the appointment and my options, and supported with my decision to undergo surgery. I was made to feel comfortable and taken care of during the entire surgery. Mr Raza and his wonderful team were on hand to answer any of my questions, settle my worries and make me feel at ease. The entire team are very knowledgable, personable, so friendly and thorough in everything they do which made me feel like I was in the best possible hands at every stage of the surgery process. Being given 24/7 access to the team during my recovery meant I never felt alone with any issues I had or questions I wanted to ask once leaving the hospital. For the first time in the 17 years I've had this disease, I've felt heard and got the answers I needed to move forward with my life. I'm already seeing positive results 5 1/2 weeks post surgery and owe that all to Mr Raza and his team.
First class service provided, not only on my last visit but every visit
Mr Raza was so reassuring. Gave me a great deal of confidence and faith. Explained all the options clearly and I felt I was very much in safe hands. And I was!
Mr Raza is an excellent surgeon. He used robotic surgery to remove my sister’s 13 cm fibroid, and she was left with just two tiny scars- as if such a massive surgery had never happened in the first place. Whereas other doctors said the fibroid could only be removed with a c-section technique with risk of hysterectomy, Mr Raza offered us hope with his minimally invasive technique. Not only that, but his attention to detail, bedside manner, and overall empathy were fantastic! He takes the time out of his busy schedule to answer any questions we have, and strives to ensure my sister has as smooth a recovery as possible. An honorable mention too to his team including Sukhy. There aren’t enough words to thank you, and I hope this review adequately explains how wonderful your care has been.
I had single-port robotic surgery for deep infiltrating endometriosis at Cromwell Hospital, and the whole experience has been incredible from start to finish. Due to severe endometriosis, I had been suffering for a long time with severe pain and symptoms that were really affecting my day-to-day life. From the first consultation, I felt genuinely listened to and reassured. As he was very transparent and explained everything in such detail, I realized I was in safe hands. Dr. Raza's team at Cromwell are the only ones in the UK currently offering this single port procedure, and you can really see the level of expertise. The results are amazing although the surgery was very complex — I have zero visible scars, which still surprises me, and my recovery has been amazing, nothing like what I've experienced with previous surgeries. If you’re dealing with endometriosis and considering surgery, I would no doubt recommend Dr. Raza and his team a 100%. He and his team truly cared, and that made such a difference during this journey. I’m so grateful for the care I received and I have no words to express my gratitude to them. Thank you Dr. Raza, Sukhy, Denia and the entire team!
I visited Mr Raza after 10+ years of chronic pain, fatigue, and menstrual symptoms. From my first consultation, Mr Raza was kind, empathetic, and validating- something I had not experienced with previous gynaecologists.
