I had a private care with Dr Kenga Sivarajah (my Obstetrician) at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill and Central Health clinic for the delivery of my baby, and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Dr Kenga is truly a brilliant obstetrician. Her expertise, calm reassurance, and decisive leadership throughout my pregnancy and delivery made me feel completely safe and confident at every stage. She combines exceptional clinical skill with genuine compassion, which made an enormous difference during such an important and emotional time. I am also incredibly grateful to Adrian Dubrowicz, the anaesthetist, whose professionalism, clear explanations, and calm manner put me instantly at ease. His care was outstanding and contributed hugely to a smooth and positive delivery experience. A very special thank you to Keira Willis and Amina Muhommad who were absolutely amazing midwives during our two-day stay. Their kindness, attentiveness, encouragement, and tireless support — both clinically and emotionally — made the entire experience feel personal, caring, and reassuring. They went above and beyond to ensure both my baby and I were comfortable and well cared for. The standard of care under Dr Kenga’s leadership at King’s College Hospital was exceptional, and I will always be grateful to this outstanding team for the role they played in bringing our baby safely into the world. I would highly recommend Dr Kenga and her team and the private maternity service to anyone seeking expert care with a truly human touch.

Admin efficiency Things didn't get off to a great start when there seemed to be an issue regarding what my insurance would cover, even though I had received two confirmations from the insurer over the phone and one confirmation by email. I felt a bit like a criminal and that I was lying about the treatment being covered. In the end, the insurer had to phone Practice Plus direct to sort it out, because no-one would believe that I was telling the truth. I've never come across this problem before at the Spire or the Nuffield. Usually the admin trail works very smoothly. Cleanliness The carpet in the waiting area is dirty and is covered in tea/coffee stains. There were pubic hairs on the toilet seat in one of the toilets by the waiting area. Not great at all. Waiting Time I am a private patient and I usually use the Spire in Bristol or the Nuffield, which run to time. My appointment for an injection was 30minutes late. Unacceptable. Staff To be fair, some of the staff are lovely. But some of the staff are downright rude. When I went to speak to one of the receptionists after waiting for my appointment for over 20minutes, I simply asked to check that I was on the system. The answer "yes". Oh I said, it's just that I haven't been called yet. Is there a delay? The answer "yes" - and a roll of the eyes to say "yes and your problem with that is??" I have to have another appointment at some point, so let's hope that my next experience is better.

From the friendly welcome on reception on my first\every visit, through the countless appointments with orthodontics, prosthodontics, hygiene and x-ray, everyone and everything was spot on. The coordination and communication between the different departments through the course of my 17 months of treatment was super professional and the outcome is nothing sort of exceptional. Special shout out to Chris for getting my teeth in fantastic shape for the prosthodontics and to Photini for the wizardry she demonstrated with the rebuilding work. I was honestly lost for words when I seen my renovated smile for the first time. Booked an appointment and was seen 2 days later. Dr Chopra was very friendly, took a case history and examined my skin condition. He made suggestions as to the cheapest course of action, which he personally wouldn't have financially benefitted from, which showed real integrity as a doctor. I went ahead with a biopsy, which was quickly and skilfully performed, and dissolving sutures were deliberately used as to save me from needing a return visit, thus reducing costs and time. Dr Chopra clearly cares not only about his patients but also seeks to provide medical attention in the most cost effective manner for his patients.

It was difficult to learn in such a blunt manner by Mr Konan that my consultant in Devon had referred me to the wrong hospital for advice on my metal on metal blood irons/revision surgery. Your department had plenty opportunities to reply to the letter from Mr Hubble my referral consultant and explain l should be referred to the Stanmore hospital. When l explained l had come a long way for the appointment Mr Konan seemed to soften and give me the benefit of his option as a very blunt stating l had been referred to the wrong hospital.

I visited Mr Natesh with breathing difficulties while sleeping and working out. He explained everything clearly and simply, even drawing illustrations of my nose. My septoplasty went very smoothly and healed perfectly, and the aftercare was very helpful. Mr Natesh made sure to do a full check, including my tonsils and I felt assured that the whole picture is being considered. My breathing has massively improved since the procedure.
