The thought of Cataract Surgery was for me a daunting prospect…so I undertook some research and this led me to John’s website which I found informative and reassuring. I was surprised to learn of the range of interocular lenses available which gave me cause to consider the outcome I wanted - in my case to be glasses free. I settled on the Rayner RayOne Galaxy IOL and confirmed this choice during my pre-op examination with John. The surgery (bilateral) was pain free with both eyes completed within an hour. The result was spectacular! … excellent close up vision for reading and distance vision significantly better than 20/20. Mr Awad has been absolutely amazing throughout my mother’s treatment. She’s been seeing him for around 4 months for a lower eyelid growth, which was both invasive and extremely painful. Mr Awad has been so warm, kind and professional at all times and has been so reassuring. My Mum had the growth removed and eyelid reconstruction on the 18th Dec by Mr Awad and the results are truly fabulous. Mum is already mostly pain free and the surgery is so discreet that it’s hardly noticeable. Professor Kotecha was amazing, really professional and helpful throughout the entire journey. Starting with clear explanations of the procedure, what to expect for recovery and how to speed up healing and minimise pain as much as possible. He was really flexible with getting me booked in straight away, and the surgery went really smoothly. With only minimal pain afterwards, which I managed with Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. His post-op advice was great, clearly explaining and answering any questions I had. He has chosen a really great support team that helped in the surgery and recovery. I couldn't recommend him enough for how easy and smooth the process was, and how much the surgery has already improved my sleep apnea just a couple of weeks afterwards.

Pleasant waiting area with self-service drinks available. Within an hour you are called and escorted into the preparation/recovery room where you are prepared for the operation and the procedure is explained including a visit from the surgeon to check if you have any questions. The operation takes place in the adjacent theatre where again efforts are made to keep you informed as to what’s happening and before you know it you are escorted back to your recovery area for water and a biscuit. Staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. Once thoroughly checked out you return to the waiting area to be collected by your escort who has already been called to say your are ready for collection. I was back home within 2 hours

Mr Edward Ibrahim is an articulate and empathetic doctor. He clearly explained the objective of the surgery, outlined the possible risks, which were low, and helped me understand each step of the procedure. He quite simply saved my life by correcting a part of my elbow that had healed incorrectly. And was blocking flexing my arm. Two years after the surgery, I feel very well. I am back in the gym, have full confidence in my elbow, and experience no issues at all in the surgical area. I am extremely happy with the treatment and care I received.

I was pleasantly surprised about the efficiency of Newmedica Worcester. I had only used NHS services prior to my NHS Newmedica appointments for cataract removal on both eyes. I was seen very quickly after referral by Specsavers Malvern. Each appointment went flawlessly. I also had laser treatment in my right eye. All staff were friendly and professional and I am very grateful to be able to see clearly once more.

Friendly staff at Main Reception who gave clear directions to Imaging Department. Department staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Radiographer was great - clear with his questions and explanations. Changing room was a good size, but would benefit from redecoration and coat hooks/hangers would be useful. Overall, a good experience, but would have liked the report to have been sent to the referrer quicker.

I received shoulder surgery and was able to be discharged the same day. All of the nursing staff were friendly and informative, the physio treatment and advice was informative. All the staff I came across were very friendly. I especially enjoyed the roast dinner which was hot when served (a new experience). I would highly recommend Mr Khan and the London Independent hospital.

I have always been wary of Dentists but Aaron John put me at ease by explaining everything to me. I think Albion surgery is terrific in all honesty I would recommend 100%
