I had been referred by my optician for a potential glaucoma diagnosis. This referral went through extremely quickly and my appointment on Tuesday 14th October 2025 was the best medical experience I have encountered. My elderly parents had kindly driven me to my appointment as I do not drive. The car parking facilities were excellent. I asked permission if my parents could wait and the 3 of us were warmly welcomed. The reception, seating area and customer service was outstanding. The free hot drink was a surprising luxury and we were fortunate to attend on a day when Newmedica staff had organised a cake sale for the organisation Vista. The quality of refreshments reached a high standard and provided such a positive environment. The 3 Practitioners who conducted my eye tests and recorded my medical history were kind, patient and reassuring. My Consultant provided exemplary care. Professional, thorough and calm. He provided a clear explanation of how he was reaching his conclusion. I received an email of the outcome within the hour. I have a follow up in 12 months and this will be the first medical appointment that I will look forward to. Thank you to the whole team at Newmedica. It was a privilege to be treated as an NHS Patient here and whether Private or an NHS patient customer care is exceptional for both patients and their family members

I had two day surgery appointments for cataract removal and lens implants, two weeks apart. The first appointment was very straightforward from walking through the door to post operative discharge. The second appointment was less straightforward: despite me being first on the day’s list there was a long wait before my pre-operative assessment. When I was being prepped before going into theatre, the atmosphere in the room was not calm and reassuring, unlike the first time. There was sometimes discomfort during the procedures of anaesthetic and application of the opthalmic speculum, the latter of which has left me with a markedly arched eyebrow on that side, which is only returning to normal after nearly two weeks. As a result I felt tense entering the theatre. Everyone in the theatre was calm and reassuring however, and I was quickly put at ease. I had a positive post operative experience before being allowed home.

After being on medication for only a month, our autistic five year old son who also has ADHD, is now doing things that he would never previously have done. His attention span is so much better and he is participating in school and social activities that he never would have attended before. He is engaging and playing with other children, writing, reading and communicating. We cannot believe the difference ADHD medication has made already, and are so pleased that we made the decision to medicate. It has been very beneficial to have Dr Bajaj as our consultant, as she has explained everything that we need to know about the medicine, what to look for and to understand what is happening in respect of the medication and our son’s behaviour, We feel that we are in great hands and couldn’t be happier.

Prior to my left hip replacement, I was struggling to walk without pain, climb stairs & had to change my car to automatic as I couldn't do the clutch control. I first met Mr Malek on 14 April & due to a cancellation I had my op on 25 April. The whole process from start to finish was excellent & run like clockwork from Mr Malek & his team, I cant thank them all enough. Even after the op, the aftercare provided & physio were excellent. I am now pain free & enjoying walking again. I can run up the stairs now & have just been discharged following my 6 month review with Mr Malek.

What a breath of fresh air to meet Ms Saeed! I really appreciated her down to earth approach, friendly manner, the way that she explained everything to me and her practical proposals for new steps. The reception staff on the ground floor are very professional and helpful A couple of the ladies on the 3rd floor are not so professional, it’s happened a few times during my visits over the past 6 months were they can be heard moaning between themselves about patients being sent up early from the ground floor reception, I can only imagine them moaning about me arriving 40mins early, hence why I opted to stay on the ground floor reception until nearer my time slot This doesn’t involve the lady who works directly for Ali, she is more than helpful

From my initial email, right through until my actual operation, the removal of a large lipoma under general anaesthetic, the whole system was very smooth and everyone treated me with respect and kindliness. I am still recovering, but even when I’ve had a couple of queries about my recuperation, I have received responses within a short period from the relevant person, eg I had a question about exercise and was then contacted by a physio who was very thorough.

After being asked how I was generally and post-operatively I was allowed time to give details. Very professional.
