Very poor communication skills of staff as they are dealing with older patients they should be aware of people's problems with hearing and sight loss, my husband was not informed of operational procedures as this was his first visit to Spencer wing and he had previously been seen at Canterbury where things were done differently so was not sure what was going on like both eyes having drops in when only one was being operated on and having plastic sheeting placed over his head he told me that he felt shocked as this was not expected and no one had told him that this was part of the procedure he said the anesthetic didn't work and no one checked to see if it was working when my husband had the same treatment at Canterbury he came out looking like nothing had been done he was happy with slight blurring and and slight discomfort when he came out of Spencer wing he looked like he had been in a fight his eye lid was swollen his eye was full of gunk and I noticed that there was blood in the eye but this was not mentioned, my husband could hardly see by the time I got him home,he was experiencing pain and soreness, we were not given any information regarding adverse conditions besides a phone number or going to a&e he needed painkillers and dry eye drops there is still blood in the eye and his eye is sore and slightly gritty 2 days after the procedure, this has put my husband off of having any further treatment which was not the outcome we were hoping for

My initial in person consultation with Dr Shah was satisfactory, and I understood that additional diagnostic tests would be required. Following her recommendation, I attended a subsequent telephone consultation to discuss the results. During this consultation, Dr Shah advised that my diagnosis of fatty liver was attributable to excessive alcohol consumption and recommended that I reduce my intake. Throughout both consultations, I made it clear that I maintain a consistent exercise routine—approximately five times per week, including indoor cycling, yoga, swimming, and running—and that I follow a generally healthy diet. Despite this, Dr Shah informed me that I was overweight. When I asked for guidance regarding an appropriate or ideal weight for someone of my age and circumstances, she stated that she was unable to provide such advice and suggested that I consult a personal trainer. I found this response to be inadequate and not in keeping with the level of professional medical guidance one would reasonably expect. If a clinician is prepared to characterise a patient as overweight, it would be appropriate to offer medically informed parameters or recommendations, rather than deferring the matter entirely to a personal trainer.

I saw Dr Jenny Doyle at the clinic for a laser treatment - specifically Sciton HALO Tribrid. I believe the clinic are one of the only clinics in the UK to offer this currently. The treatment itself was relatively quick and Jenny do everything she could to make me as comfortable as possible. It’s now 2 weeks later and I am so incredibly pleased with the results! I had a Total Knee Replacement operation performed by Mr Miles. As a retired GP myself, I feel well placed to assess other colleagues. Mr Miles has a superb and empathetic bedside manner and a great sense of humour. He is extremely professional and articulate and forthright in his explanation of the operation and its sequelae and the whole post operative course. As for the surgery itself, it went perfectly well and the post operative course and unpleasant pain was sadly exactly as explained. He dealt with my expected symptoms with sympathy and realism. I cannot commend him highly enough. I think it is rare to meet a surgeon who combines his degree of humanity with his superb surgical skills..

I had a sports massage at True Physio in Crewe for shoulder pain, and I was really impressed with the whole experience. The therapist Mamta, was professional, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable throughout the session. The massage itself was effective, targeting the areas causing discomfort and helping me feel immediate relief. On top of that, the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, and the receptionist Helen made the booking process smooth and welcoming. Overall, a fantastic experience, I would highly recommend True Physio for anyone needing physiotherapy or sports massage!

I had a gallbladder removal last week & got home the same day. My surgeon Andrew Harris & anaesthetist Nick Black were excellent. They were warm & friendly, explained the procedure & answered my questions with good humour. The theatre nurse too was very good. In the post op ward nurse Siobhan & the dark haired nurse were wonderful & really made me feel cared for. Food was perfect.
