I am at Kingsbridge Hospital for partial knee replacement surgery. Surgical Ward 1 - 28/11/2025. I am writing to express my deepest and sincere thanks for the outstanding care I am receiving during my stay at Kingsbridge Hospital, Ballykelly. The professionalism and kindness I am receiving during my care is outstanding. Sarah, Kerry, Laura & Kim (night staff) from Ward 1 have all been wonderful, nothing was any trouble and I want to thank them for going above and beyond to ensure my well being. Unfortunately, I can’t remember all the names of the staff on ward 1 when I booked in, but again these staff were amazing (Keavsa/luke). I have felt very at ease during my stay and that has come across naturally from you all. You deserve recognition for all your hard work and care you have provided. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to all the staff involved in my care, including the doctors Mr Acton, Dr Brian OG McLary and their team who showed exceptional expertise. Not forgetting the physio. After doing some research, I was able to book an appointment at Spire Hospital Harpenden, where I first met Mr. Jambulingam in August this year. Just two months after that initial consultation, I had my gallbladder removed. I want to express my deepest thanks to Mr. Jambulingam and the entire team at Spire Hospital Harpenden. Professor Alwyn D'Souza

Professor D’Souza is a constant source of reassurance and demonstrates a deep experience in a gentle and thoughtful manner. His approach is very educated, but pragmatic. In the case of my surgery, he gave excellent feedback on what made my revision difficult, while also explaining very clearly intraoperative discoveries that created problems he had to work around. For the first time in 16 years since a severe injury to my nose, I now see the light at the end of the tunnel to this journey and I owe this to Professor D’Souza.

Mr Giles Bond-Smith

I had a consultation with Mr Giles Bond Smith regarding a tricky hernia that had already been repaired once by another surgeon and had failed. Mr Bond Smith gave me very useful information about what all my options were, which were not biased towards him carrying out the surgery. I came away feeling very reassured, and the anxiety around not being sure what the best course of action would be were dispelled during the consultation. I’m very pleased that I met this kind, thoughtful and very humane doctor

We checked in early, due to traffic, 20 minutes early at 13.10 for an appointment at 13.30. At 14.05 I returned to the reception desk to ask why a large number of customers had arrived after us and been seen before and the Team Lead stated that she would check for me. She came back 3-4 minutes later to notify us that the reception staff had not booked us as arrived. We were told that they were sorry and that we would be moved to the front of the line. We did not have a very good experience with you.

We are still in the process of treatment, and this was a follow-up visit. I always book my appointments specifically with this doctor because I trust his professionalism. He is very open, answers all of my questions, and clearly explains health risks and possible solutions. I also appreciate that he speaks several languages and can understand my concerns even when I cannot express everything perfectly in English. This is very important to me, as some of these issues are completely new to me.

Mr Ganapathy Dhanasekar

Very Realistic doctor. I had undergone the Rhino-Septoplasty procedure and multiple times Mr Ganapathy Dhanasekar made everything clear to me - Ensuing pain post-surgery, not to expect my nose to fully straight, alongside other things. Despite these warnings, the procedure was successful and I experienced very little bruising, issues, or pain. I can also confirm my septum is straight and nose is very straight and aligned on my face. Thank you.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but welcomed the opportunity to talk to the doctor during the visit. The written report, following the verbal followup was not of much use to me as it was written in medical ' code'. Had I had the written table of results to hand before the verbal feedback phone call, it would have permitted me to ask what areas denoted as being H /L were about and how I might make changes if any were possible.

From the consultation to the end results, Mr Mohan was professional and responsive. He has a skill of recognising what needs to be done for my frame and body shape. I no longer have loose skin and have a flat tummy (wearing size 8-10!). The opportunity to have two consultants operating in their expert fields meant I got the best results. I would strongly recommend the Abdominal Wall Clinic.
