I was recently admitted under the care of Mr Almerle Conslt General Surgeon to undergo an Incisional Hernia Repair at the Oakland's Hospital Salford. The care I received from our 1st meeting in Out-patients to the day of my surgery was flawless truly outstanding. Mr Almerie took great care to explain my condition thoroughly & the surgical treatment I would need. I was given every opportunity to ask questions & discuss the procedure & at no time did I feel under any pressure. Mr Almerie was attentive & understanding, it quickly became apparent that I was in kind & caring hands his compassion & patience shined through. On the day of my surgery his manner was so caring & once again I was made to feel at ease, comfortable & safe. His excellence as a surgeon I was already aware of & I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been under his surgical expertise & care. I will be forever 'beyond grateful' to him. The nursing & theatre team also made my experience the best it could be .... thank you so very much.

Dr Gera is very personable and knowledgeable. He listened carefully to my concerns and responded with my individual circumstances in mind. His recommendations were always clear and supported by explanations. I am in fact a repeat customer having been referred to Dr Gera for another issue in the past; for my recent concern he was my easy first choice. On my previous referral, even after my care was transferred more locally to me, Dr Gera continued to check in with me to see I was receiving appropriate treatment and to answer fully and frankly the follow up questions I had. I really appreciated this level of support and kindness at a worrying and stressful time for me, and I found him a reassuring presence throughout. I am also grateful that I could ask ‘what if’ type questions to Dr Gera and get a proper response (the let’s cross that bridge when we come to it approach doesn’t work well for me as I prefer to be armed with the detail, and Dr Gera has always answered all my questions).

I had an appointment today with Dr Fionnulala Barton, and I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly listened to. She took the time to understand my symptoms, thoughts, and concerns without rushing or dismissing anything. What stood out most was how validating the experience was — it made such a difference to have someone acknowledge what I’ve been going through and reassure me that I’m not alone in it. Dr Barton combines compassion with clear expertise, and I left feeling both understood and supported. Most importantly, we now have a clear plan in place, which has given me real hope and a sense of control moving forward. It feels like I’m finally taking positive steps in the right direction. If you’re struggling or unsure where to turn with menopause-related concerns, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr Barton.

During procedure bit confusing to look at the light when it kept moving could do with clearer instructions as to where to look..Also when I got home the pain in my eye and syncs area was very bad paracetamol did nothing to help needed very strong Co codimal and still stopped me sleeping was still awake at 2.00am eventually got to sleep at about 5.00am pain subsided at about 6.00 and I have been fine since.Wasnt sure if I have a weak pain threshold I almost phoned the mobile number to see if it was normal for that pain.I was a bit worried that something might have gone wrong.So pleased when pain subsided at 6.00 am and glad to say I have no concerns now.I was warned that I may have a headache when anaesthetic wore off but it wasn't a headache it was a deep pain in my eye overall I am very pleased though with your service thank you

I went for an initial consultation with Gavin, the owner of the business, who diagnosed my issues. I've been going to Gavin for years and can't recommend him highly enough. Gavin some exercises to get started on my recovery, but recommended that I do follow-up appointments with Zoe, one of the physiotherapists in the practice. My appointment with her was about six days ago and she checked me out and gave me additional exercises to do to treat the problem. I have my next appointment with her next week. My appointment with her went very well. She has a warm personality and puts you at ease, as well as being really professional. I've got great confidence in her.
