Moving to a new country was supposed to be an exciting fresh start, but instead I found myself struggling with depression and anxiety in ways I'd never experienced before. She created such a compassionate space whilst also helping me develop practical strategies to manage both the depression and anxiety. I'm still in therapy, but the difference is remarkable. I can handle difficult days so much better now. I've got tools that actually work, and more importantly, I've found hope again. I can see a future here that feels possible, even good. The anxiety doesn't consume me the way it did, and the depression has lifted enough that I can engage with my new life rather than just surviving it. This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

We chose Fitzrovia Suite as its part of big NHS hospital in case of any unexpected emergency, it made us feel comfortable being just 1 floor away in case anything happens. The team is wonderful and professional able to create a sense of safety and calm in those moments before and after birth. They were supportive during one of the most vulnerable and delicate experiences a woman can go through, offering practical tips, guidance, emotional support and truly personal care at any hour, for any question or request we had. Midwifes supported us looking after our baby so we can get some sleep waking us is time for feeds, meds and breastfeed support. The midwifes were also available on WhatsApp after the birth, which was incredibly helpful. There is so much information to process when you’re discharged home, and having the ability to ask follow-up questions and get quick clarifications made a huge difference for us. Facility itself is clean, catering is nice, rooms were comfortable, branded toiletries are provided -great experience.

I thought that I would drop you a note by way of some feedback. I came to your hospital yesterday for some “pre-med” bits, e.g. blood test, MRSA, ECG, BP, all in preparation for a procedure on my left thumb that is scheduled for 19th Feb with Chis James. I arrived about 15 minutes before the 12.30 appointment to be greeted by the quite delightful Margaret who promised to not to take too much blood!, so far so good, then off to see Aisha for the other bits to include the ECG. What a charming person Aisha was. I have to say that the whole process was quite remarkable, unlike many NHS environments where, its more that probable the appointment would run late, sometimes for very good reason. Certainly not so with your team at Ashford One. Super-efficient, smiley (esp. Margaret) a pleasure to visit, not often said when going to hospital. May I prevail on you to please pass on my grateful thanks to the two of them and of course all the “unseen” members of the team. All a credit to you.

I arrived for my appointment with Mr Grant for my update on my operation for my FULL Knee Replacement. Mr Grant was very pleased with the progress i have made, and commented that I had surpassed some of his patients who had only had a Partial Knee Replacement. I am very pleased with the result of my operation and must say I have worked hard with the Physiotherapy to get the movement in my knee to the condition it is now. I'd just like to say anybody who undergoes this operation, keep up with your exercises and you'll be happy with the result. Still have about 5 weeks to go and hopefully I'll be back to playing Golf, Fishing and Walking at the weekends again.

Thanks to everyone at Freedom Vision in Bromley for giving me a positive experience throughout my time with them.  I was very nervous to have the procedure, but it went smoothly and led to an excellent outcome.  Having had my cataracts removed from both eyes and RayOne Galaxy Toric multifocal replacement lenses fitted, I now have amazing eyesight for distant, intermediate and near vision.  I am especially grateful to the optometrist and the surgeon for their expertise and care, and to Chirag, the Patient Liaison Manager who always made me feel well supported.

Mr Karam Al-Tawil

After an accident I dislocated my finger and it healed with a severe contracture that was impeding my daily life. I saw Mr. Al-Tawil who recommended first non-surgical interventions with great specialists. Unfortunately these didn't work and he did a volar plate release surgery for my hand injury. The result was very good. I've regained 80% of my extension, no longer have any pain, and the scar has disappeared only a couple months later. He was very thorough about all the pros and cons throughout my journey and I felt very prepared. He's a great surgeon.

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital

No problems with check in or with the meeting with Mr Krkovic. However the hospital is showing signs of neglect. The loo in the corridor outside Trinity Suite had no paper towels and and a completely overflowed waste bin. The coffee machine in Trinity was broken in October and is still broken in January. The former quite serious, the latter not serious but to be not fixed over so many months suggests neglect and that always raises the possibility that things I can't see are also neglected. SIte management needs shake-up.

I hadn’t fully appreciated how poor my vision had become and after being short sighted all my life, near sighted requiring varifocal lenses in recent years I now do not need glasses at all as well as all my cataract symptoms disappearing.
