I came 4 times over two weeks for quick diagnostics to treatment. Originally I couldn't make the follow up appointment offered as I was going on holiday, but my consultants secretary Kim managed to squeeze me in earlier which was wonderful. My consultant Dr Rumian was very clear. I had some issues with the MRI which could easily be rectified. 1) I was put into a fairly uncomfortable position that I was unable to stay in for 30 minutes so there was some movement. I'm not certain if the position was necessary, because when they did the 2nd arm they allowed me to be more relaxed. I think they could have ensured I was more comfortable before starting. 2) the headphones/music was way too loud. I asked them to turn it down twice, which they did, but I think they need to test levels before you're in the tube. Also, when the technician speaks the volume is even louder. A couple of times she spoke to say "we're almost there" but her speaking literally made me jump creating unnecessary movement. In addition, the 2nd time they put me in for the other arm, the headphones wire had become so twisted it was pulling on my neck. I had to ask them to pause for a second so I could untangle it. This would be a very easy thing to check each time to prevent it becoming do tight and twisted. 3) on a previous MRI I was informed throughout the session "this part will take X minutes" and in between the scans I was told I could relax... I think this helps because if you need a quick fidget or to let go of tension you can, and then also know when you need to really focus on being still. I was told by the technician they had to redo one of the scans due to movement. I think this could have been avoided if they had kept me updated throughout when they were scanning. The 2nd follow up with Mr Rumian was also clear and effective. The Radiologist Das was probably the best Dr I've ever had. He took time to explain everything about the procedure in detail, but in easy to understand language. He showed me all my bones, the Bursa (how it should look and where its inflamed) same with the tendon. He explained how the injection would help and the risks. He made me feel very comfortable and well informed. I have ADHD (possibly Autistic) and I like to know the details, but usually find radiologists and drs turn the screens away and don't like to go into the details, or assume patients won't understand. I felt the information Das gave me may have been more than most people need, but for me it was absolutely perfect. If he were a GP he's the only Dr I'd ever go back to. I did tell him how helpful he was at the time, but if you could pass this onto him again I'd really appreciate it.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mr Andrew Smith, Harriet Edwards, and the team at One Ashford following my wrist surgery in January. The entire experience was extremely positive. Mr Smith and the anaesthetic team were excellent, making me feel calm, reassured, and well cared for throughout. As someone who is usually very nervous in hospital settings, I was particularly anxious about being awake during the procedure with a nerve block. However, the team put me completely at ease, and the experience was far less daunting than I had expected. The follow-up care from Harriet Edwards was outstanding. She knew exactly how to support me during my recovery, always striking the perfect balance between being gentle, encouraging, and motivating me to push a little further when needed. Her expertise, patience, and support made a huge difference to my rehabilitation, and I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done over the last few months. I have now been signed off and am delighted with the outcome. Thank you to Mr Smith, Harriet, and everyone at One Ashford for the exceptional care and support I received throughout my treatment and recovery.

From the moment my consultant agreed it was time for a knee replacement, as it was affecting my daily life and bone on bone, I only waited a few months before being given a date. I was given an online link to everything that was involved in the operation and a list of all my pre-op appointments. I was also given a folder with pictures and advice on what was going to happen. There were also exercises for pre-op and post op. My 2 night stay was very comfortable, great pain relief and the food was good. All the staff were friendly and helpful in my recovery. Once home I received several phone calls checking on my progress and I was able to call them direct for any advice if I was having any issues. I was seen by a physio within 2 weeks and I was offered 6 weeks physio in an hourly Knee Class which I have found enjoyable and very good for my recovery. My scar has healed very well. I cannot recommend them enough, all the staff from reception to nurses and hospitality staff were brilliant.

What a confusing messaging service- I had an appointment made that was cancelled - the day before I was then told to ring to make an appointment even though I was led to believe my appointment was booked. This then transpired a new appointment needed to be made as that morning surgery was not running (surely you would think those making appointments would know this!). I was then given an appointment on the other side of Leeds - baring in mind I had made other plans around my original appointment I then had to make adjustments to these as my appointment to me was extremely important. This appointment also got cancelled and I was sent back to Thorpe park which was where my original appointment was due to take place but in the morning not the afternoon. I was glad my Morley appointment didn’t happen as this would have been even more of an inconvenience to me than the actual farce I experienced with your booking system which clearly doesn’t seem to be as effective as it needs to be.

My experience could not have been better, I had my right knee replacement in March 26 and here I am just 5 months later getting my left knee replacement, the best thing I would say is that Dr Barbar Kayani does the most fantastic job so we mustn't let his amazing efforts go to waste, so we should work hard to do our part and honestly you will have the best outcome, my right knee is brilliant and it's only been a few short months, it's hard sometimes but stick with it and you'll have your life back. Many thanks to Dr Kayani, what absolute legend and a Genius.
