After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. Her expertise and care have been a huge positive during a difficult time. Thank you to Steph and all the team, I would highly recommend The Medical.

I cannot express enough the professionalism and dedication to patient care from Mr Abdulsattar. It was my pleasure to meet with him again to discuss my new hip problems having met him in May 2024 and had my first hip replacement surgery in September 2024. Which incidentally was a first class experience despite the discomfort following the surgery. He reassured me and discussed the recent x ray Of my other hip and agreed that currently I do not require surgery but I would be able to contact his department within the next year if needed. I saw 3 different consultants two through local hospitals and paid privately for a third opinion over 3 years previously to referral to Practice plus at Barlborough. None were willing to free me from pain give and me a hip replacement. Mr Abdulsattar saw my x ray and straight away asked me “would you like a new hip” Having discussed my pain and suffering for 3 years he was and is an angel in my eyes. Thank you Suzanne S.

Mr Worthington explained on the basis of the scans that he had from St Peters the reasons for suggesting a medical procedure to drain a 4cm wide absess on my pancreas (not incidentally present on scans taken in April) He expained that there would be a biopsy taken to establish its nature and possibly the need to insert a stent temporarily. I was very satisfied with this proposed further treatment, albeit a bit surprised that the team at St Peters had not suggested that it should be done. I forgot to ask whether, if a repeat pancreatitis attack occurred, it would be possible for me to be admitted to Nuffield Guildford for treatment, insured by BUPA. And if so, what do I do at the outset, call 999 or the Nuffield?

I have had 2 procedures to remove BCC on my nose with skin grafts from my neck. The first BCC was infiltrative and I have needed Immiquimod for 6 weeks once the surgeries had healed. It has been a challenging 6 months but the support and guidance from Jane has been exceptional. From the first consultation I felt listened to and part of the decision making process. She has shown great empathy and has broken the bad news that I needed more treatment with care and concern. I have really appreciated her phone calls updating me and guiding me through the options available. Although the appointment wasn't satisfactory for me because the doctor couldn't give me a second opinion on my back and neck pain since his specialty is lower extremities, he sent me for updated MRI exams so he could give me a responsible and accurate second opinion on my knee and ankle. I emailed the doctor and am waiting for him to reply with his diagnosis from the previous appointment so I can provide my employer with the information they need to continue helping me with the MRI costs and get positive results that will allow me to go to work without any health risks. Thank you very much.
